If only these guys were open all year! My cats just love this time of year because it’s the only time they can consistently get fresh cat grass on a regular basis. And this stuff lasts three times as long as any grass I’ve bought fir them at bosleys or grown myself! (Oh yeah and their selection of annuals is pretty amazing too...haha)

It is absolutely horrible how the staff is treated. There was a staff member working for them for 30 years. The greenery decided at the end of the 2021 season they are terminating the employment( they gave a full years notice) . They marked down as quit the job to try to Stop her from getting unemployment insurance. This company does not respect their employees or treat them fairly whatsoever. If you support this company you are supporting the inhuman and dishonest treatment of Local Canadian workers. Definitely boycott this business...

If you love plants, this is the place that will make you feel like a kid in a candy store. It’s amazing!! You can find SO many variety of plants here and the price is very reasonable! I would say it has the best price in Kelowna. Last trip here I got several plants but couldn’t find Thai chillies, but no worries, I’ll definitely come back.

Very, very crowded and impossible to safely distance, altho everyone was trying hard and wearing masks. The line to pay, while long, moved quickly with all of the tills open. They must have had a very busy weekend, since many of the plant slots were empty -- altho no problem finding something great to buy (just not the variety of colour, etc.). The Greenery is always terrific, and the prices/quality remain top notch.

The selection and prices are fantastic, i would love to give this a higher rating, however, the staff is absolutely terrible. Everyone working at the Greenery looks depressed and miserable, and that really shows when it comes to customer service. I dealt with several rude and disrespectful older staff members who didn't care about my health issues and tried to refuse my payment. I felt unsafe and singled out. Unless you want to feel discriminated against, I would suggest buying your plants elsewhere.

Was there and witnessed a pretty disgusting interaction between an older lady working there and a gentleman with a mask exemption. Pretty disappointed at the flippant attitude from the lady. Won’t be back after witnessing that. You should train your staff on upholding the charter of rights and freedoms. The purpose of them is for no exceptions regardless of how passionately you feel about your fear. Will be shopping elsewhere. Ps I left my plants without paying for them.

I was about half way through my shopping at The Greenery today when an employee came up to me and told me I had to put on a mask. I nicely informed her that I have a medical exemption and have the paperwork to show as proof if she wanted to see it. She told me that the owners have decided that they don't care about medical exemptions and refuse to abide by them. She said that she could either get me a mask or escort me out of the store. I told her fine I'll put on a mask but you'd better be ready to have to deal with a medical emergency in the middle of the store and have to call me an ambulance. She shrugged her shoulders and said "whatever, we've already had to do that once today." Like it was no big deal that they are not abiding by government orders and literally putting peoples health in jeopardy to the point where they have to call ambulances frequently because of it. I will never shop at this business again and have already had 6 other people just today decide to stop shopping there because of my experience and the companies discrimination against people with disabilities.

All the year's i have lived here i was missing out on one of the best gardens in town. What don't they have here. Make shure your early!! Went with my mom on mothers day. She said make shure you park close to the exit as it can be difficult to get out of the parking lot if everyone shows up at once. I will never forget my vist that day with her. We planted up a storm back at home. :-p

Brutal customer service experience, if you can even call it customer service. Overheard employees gossiping in poor taste about customers shopping about, ignoring people and even getting customers ways. Went to talk to someone about my plants I purchased that seem to be dying for no reason, and the jerk I talked to wouldn't stop staring at my chest. Not impressed. They seem diseased to me... I wouldn't shop here again if it was the last green house in Kelowna.

Too busy for a mostly on parr price compared to competitors, sometimes more expensive, especially on npn-plant items. Long wait to pay (does slow time time even exist there?) The hectic environment means don't turn your back on your cart (if you can manage to wrangle one off of the last guy) cause grandma will take your last of "whatever" not to mention elbow you to get ahead in line & the competition in the parking lot is insane (just skip it, park the 1k down the road, or however long the line up of cars goes & walk, altho if you don't get a cart you will have to hulk your plants back on a packmule...did you remember to bring yours?) Save your sanity and spread your green around at some of the other equally good if not better options in town ie. Sunshine farms, Forbes, Ashcroft Farms to name a few at the farmers market (most also have farm open houses & seed catalogues etc to buy from if the market too is too much of a hassle (hint: wednesdays and 8-9am leat busy times). Also, suprise, Superstore has grown a great garden center over the yrs, same lady every yr has been running it, she knows her stuff, & the plants are all from Canadian growers/greenhouses of which I have had the best success rate out of all bog box options.

You know this is a pretty amazing place when someone who doesnt even have a green thumb is excited and counts down the days till opening! You would think for the quality the Greenery delivers they would be the top price in town, but they are affordable AND knowledgeable. I cannot wait to start diving into this years selection of hanging baskets, veggies, and Lilly selection. I can always make friends back home in Alberta jealous by sending a photo of the amazing finds from the Greenery (I never tell how affordable they are because that would just be rubbing salt in a wound! haha). You guys are my hands-down my fave local nursery! By far the best succulent selection in town. My houseplants grown by you guys vs big box imports are THRIVING and came pest-free! (That's huge for us crazy plant people!) Make sure to check out their living display garden on the far end! Always super helpful staff. Clean, organized and tonnes of selection. Bought a bunch of stuff and paid by debit. Didn't realise until later that they had rounded the $.88 to $.90...penny rounding is supposed to happen when you pay with cash, not with debit or credit card. I looked it up and this practice is illegal. I am going to report this to Canada Revenue Agency. I think everyone who has paid with debit/credit cards should check their receipts. Perhaps .02 doesn't seem to matter much to most, but 1,000's of customers later and suddenly it is quite a substantial "theft". Not impressed.

As an avid gardener, this is absolutely my fave place to shop for annuals...I have been an addict for many years! Their hanging baskets are simply amazing and the selection of plants seems endless. They display samples in bloom right above the same variety on the tables so you can see what they will look like in your beds or planters once mature. So helpful when trying to coordinate a colour scheme or arrange your plantings by size! The service has always been great too...even carry out when help is needed. Also a good array of succulents, water plants, tropicals, soil types, various repellents and so much more. Is it Spring yet?!

But the aisles are just a bit too narrow for serious shoppers' carts to pass, the direction of traffic flow related to COVID precautions isn't clear so there were many occasions for passing other shoppers and the parking lot is confusing.

After purchasing a moderately priced plant that I knew very little about, I returned home with it to learn that it was suffering telltale signs of being infested and/or sickly. Upon returning the plant to The Greenery two days after purchase, I was horrified at the customer service I experienced. After a lively conversation—and what I would say felt more like a confrontation of sorts—with the 'manager', my plant was eventually put back on the shelf and I was informed in a very rude manner that I was wrong about the state of the plants 'health', all because the information I read online about the issues at hand were not from "professional plant growers". I was reluctantly offered a refund, albeit refunds apparently do not exist at the Greenery even when a defective item is sold. This is an example of very unacceptable and unprofessional customer service, regardless of the circumstances and disagreement regarding the plant's state of health. I will not be returning with my business which is an unfortunate turn of events seeing as I have frequented The Greenery for my plant and garden needs for 15+ years. Things have gone downhill rapidly at this establishment, sadly. Please become informed as to how customer service interactions should be handled.
