I Went to Dogwood this weekend to simply get a few yards of soil for our yard that we seeded. The first load (1 yard) we brought home had broken glass in it. The second yard we brought home was full of rocks, twigs and some mulch. Not happy. We called to inform them and they did not believe us. Top soil is to be screened. They did offer us a half yard but I said this was not acceptable and I would expect full credit (I was talking to one of the owners) he said no, that won’t happen. I replied that I will no longer use Dogwood and his reply was that that was fine and hung up. Nice place. I will stick with Bylands from now on. You can see by the photos that this is not screened, let alone that we found glass in the first load. Thanks Dogwood, very professional.

Update: We decided to support our closest local nursery even though our past experiences were less than stellar> The offending staff member is either no longer there or was off. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! We will be back!!! Fantastic selection, decent pricing; but as of May 11, 2017 the most UN friendly, UN helpful and RUDE staff I have ever met. We have shopped there many times in the past and found the staff to be friendly, helpful and courteous Unfortunately on May 11, 2017 we went looking for information on a purchase (which did end up making from them) and were spoken too with disdain, talked down too like we were wasting their time (they weren't overly busy) - both of the employees we dealt with were unhelpful and extremely rude. One was so rude that my wife wanted to leave and go elsewhere to make our purchase, but we ended up buying from them - probably for the last time. #TerribleCustomerService

I was told by a friend to go see them at Dogwood. I live in the middle of Kelowna..so it's a bit of a drive.. but Wow. ???? I went a month before I bought to take a look.. immediately I felt really good going there... After I spent a good hour with Jeff..( The most chill dude ever) walking around the nursery looking at the trees, I was hooked. So I returned today to finally buy the trees.. and Lindsay.. ( also awesome) took us around again and we picked out the trees... super helpful, friendly and informative. All in all, I'm in for a experience.. and that's what I got, a good one.. I will be back! Thanks again to Jeff and Lindsay ????????

It was early on a Saturday. A worker passed by me 3x , without asking if I needed help. Prices were high and I was made to feel I was in the wrong to take plants in the wrong areas. Marked yes , controlled no, . I was asked if I needed help by the workers deep in the grounds. I came to the till area and again felt like I was In the wrong, unclear to where we were to go. Even others asked me , what door to go into. I WILL NOT COME BACK NOR TELL ANYONE TO SHOP THERE .

I never like to write negative reviews, or any reviews for that matter. But after a second negative experience at Dogwood Nursery I feel it necessary to write this review. The problem, in particular is with the older gentleman that works there. Both times I was purchasing crushed rock and garden soil and parked my truck near the holding bins well out of the way. Apparently this gentleman is very paricular about positioning of vehicles in this area to the point of being ridiculous. First time he yelled at his employee who in turn told me off (after I had just spent $120 on crushed rock) and the second time he stormed by my truck chirping at his employee again that my truck was not parked like it is pictured on the pick up tag...even his own employee thought he was being unreasonable! Needless to say, I gave Dogwood a second chance and I will no longer be buying my landscaping materials from this place or recommending them to anyone I meet.

I really like Dogwood Nursery for outdoor plants specifically, better prices compared to others in West Kelowna. They have a small selection of indoor plants and succulents as well. They also have the usual soils, fertilizers, pots and garden decor.

Pretty awful when you spend your hard earned money and are guaranteed that that your shrubs are going to be totally fine through the winter,only to find they did not and are not guaranteed,there is no refund,replacement nada. I would not go back in my lifetime!

Today we shopped for a Maple tree and shrubs. We received excellent service from Dogwood and very good pricing. It is very well stocked with healthy looking plants.

Their property is huge and their selection is vast. Unfortunately there is not enough staff to help find what you don't see. Also they are not wearing anything to distinguish that they are employees. The prices are reasonable and quality is very healthy.

Racist, Rude. I asked Robert, one of the owners to bring in a shrub for me, and when he couldn't find it, I gave him the name of a grower who had it. His response in a gruff tone was "They're (the grower) East Indian. I won't deal with them." I won't be going there anymore, I won't deal with racists.
