Extremely disappointing customer service with Marc (owner). Staff are awesome, helpful and very knowledgeable but Marc doesn’t understand customer service. I went to Rockwood 4 times to choose our trees (over a 3-4 week period) as with our very wet spring they were having trouble transporting trees from the back fields to the front. Totally understandable so three of the times I called ahead and was told to come over but when I arrived they didn’t have all of the trees in the yard for me to choose. In the end, I was able to choose 7 large trees which were “tagged”. The problem was that of the 7 ordered only 2 were the ones that we actually chose as I had taken photos of each and of the 2 maple blaze trees one of the trees had leaves that were covered in mites. I thought it important to let Marc know so I called the next day and left a message to return my call to discuss, after a few days call was not returned so I sent an email. Another call and another follow up email, Marc did in fact come out to take a look.
This could have been resolved in a friendly manner but Marc was confrontational from the moment he arrived. He did not want to listen to what I had to say. I was told by Marc that I’m too picky and that further I interrupted his staff each time I arrived, and that I got a deal on the largest of the trees. Sorry Marc but you are selling trees, they don’t magically appear in my shopping cart. Very disappointing to choose trees and have completely different trees arrive.
I had been warned by another landscaper about Marc’s poor customer service. I should have heeded his advise. Good nursery but beware if you have an issue.
