We visited Garry's from out of town (Hamilton) and received the most excellent service and pricing from Brenton that we made the decision to purchase our hot tub from them. Despite the distance, Brenton arranged delivery to our home and has been excellent to deal with since the purchase whenever we've had questions. We were very frustrated with the 5 or 6 stores we had visited locally, and Brenton just gave us the information we were asking for so easily that our entire purchase took less than 30 minutes (with 3 kids in tow). Pricing was so much better than the local dealers for the same product. Definitely worth purchasing from them.

This is an awful place to do business with. We bought a few trees only to find that they went on sale the following week - two business days later. The General Manager told us to get lost when we inquired of a price reduction. I'm rating it 2-stars only because the trees were good.

I went to Garry's Garden center on Saturday to pick up some pool supplies. While waiting in line in the parking lot, there was a senior citizen couple just ahead of me that made some small talk and said they were going to go to Canadian Tire to avoid the line, but wanted to support a local business considering the strain of COVID. Literally as the words left the mans mouth a young man employed there approached him and asked him to put on a mask (outside in the parking lot). The elderly man started putting his mask on, but also protested that it was hard for him to breath in the mask. A young man, in his late 20's driving a forklift started yelling at and betraying the man (bordering on elder abuse) and telling him to "get the F@#K out of line, they don't need his business's" It ended quickly because the man was already putting his mask on, but had it continues a moment longer, I felt compelled to teach the young man a lesson about respect. After picking up my order, I asked the cashier for the name of the lift truck operator who had acted so reprehensible. She called the manager Cathy to address the situation......and her response was to brush off the incident because they have been "putting up with it all day" I will NEVER give this business another nickle of my money so long as that young man is employed there. If there was a zero star I would be giving it. Garry's Garden center should be embarrassed by his behaviour and do more than a half hearted attempt to justify it. NO ONE IS ABOVE COMMON COURTESY, and our local seniors deserve better than to be yelled at by entitled brats.

Great place for all your green thumb ideas. Shrubs and trees of many varieties. Plants (indoor and out) by the hundreds. Want tropical foliage...they have it. Besides, its beautiful to walk around the beautiful variety of floral and fauna and garden decorations as well. Baskets of variety...fertilizers etc. Think plants ....think Gary's in Lindsay!

HORRIBLE!!!! Purchased a hot tub service was great sales guy told you what you wanted to here. Was told 4weeks max then we will have our tub. 4 weeks came and gone was told 3 other dates still no tub. I called hydro pool was told to speak with this certain person she was so rude told me I was a liar and hung up on me. They do not have their own delivery team they hire an outside company was also told they do not deliver hot tubs to customers at the end of the month. Then they for me a delivery date after all the arguing time frame was wed-Friday. Really??? They wanted me to stay home for three days waiting!!!. Then that changed to wed. Afternoon. We cancelled our order if weare being treated like this before the tub even arrives could you imagine what would happen when we need a service call. We went to hydro pool in Peterborough fantastic salesman great knowledge tub will be here Friday!!!!! Gary’s please do not reply with the comment we do not give dates of when the hot tub will be ready, because yes you do.

After 10 years of being loyal customer and keep supporting local I think today was my last visit. We are all in complicated situation this days but open door in front of customer and yell "we are closed" just not exceptional. It can be done polite as say : Sorry we have to close but if it's something you grab abd go probably we could help. No. If I add that I was few minutes outside checking if bag of stones I looking for displaed outside and another employee was there - say nothing they closing soon. People were still inside and I will be way faster from there then others but nobody bothered to ask what I looking for... Back to my car and called with hope that manager care more, all I ask to send this young fellow to say sorry for his attitude and I skip publishing this story NO. Nothing we can do, he not going outside.... GOODBUY! It might be not so weird if on top of it 2 weeks ago I called to ask if they open for curbside pick up and if any African violets in stock (just because my supplier miss it in my order and I have customers waiting for dish gardens for Mother's day that includes them. Told yes but I have to order online (can't process cc on phone...) OK. Went online, spend time on their most inconvenient website and all of a sudden the pick up day only Monday after Mother day, have to call again with hope they fix it. NO. After all - nothing in stock now... Is it such a big deal to provide correct information over the phone in a first call and appreciate other people time? Hate to give bad reviews as it make me feel the world not as nice as it should be...have to find someone tonight who deserves 5 stars to get life in positive way.

My wife purchased several plants from them last year, in the hundreds of dollar. The plants can with a guarantee, one reason she went there. This spring we lost one of the plant. So when she tried to return it for another one the garden area manager said that her bill was not clear on her purchases and that they would not replace the plant. They were not friendly and made her feel as if she was try to ripe them off. Some advice, if your purchasing anything from there made sure that the correct colour and make is correct. On my wife bill they only put the one colour but she had purchase two plants , both different colours.

I was looking forward to shopping here, and planning my landscaping for my new home. Unfortunately, this place does NOT honor the by-law exemptions for masking. I tried wearing a face shield, which I am not required to do by law. They have now lost a life-long customer who will be spending a LOT of money on landscaping over the next few years. The idea that a face shield should be worn in ADDITION to a face mask is unscientific and unfounded. There is NO RESEARCH which supports this position. And, if your face mask works, it protects you - stay socially distanced and let me shop in peace.

Bought a hot tub and all u get is the run around.. so much for warranty ...their service guy sucks my new hot tub has leaked so many times from the start had it fixed now leaking again probably from the spot they cut out to fix it the first time its now been over 2 weeks still waiting..oh wait.. We called again...they didnt listen to the fact that we moved he probably went to my old house my deck is growing moss now ..we know of someone else who had a leak from day one and it got replaced why do it for them and not us ??i dont understand ...not one person in that department can get anything right from the proper chemicals to add ect...i have never been so pissed off we spent over $10,000 on a hot tub and wish i had donated that money to a charity because the hot tub and service at this store is terrible!! Not enjoying it at all

I am extremely disappointed in the service. We ordered a pool that arrived July 24. We were told it was complete and were given the name of an installer whom agreed to be here the week it arrived. He never showed up, he was contacted over and over again but responded with excuse after excuse. He was supposed to pick the pool up at Garry’s and we found out that he hadn’t only by contacting Garry’s to be told that we were going to be charged with storage if it wasn’t picked up. My husband borrowed a trailer and picked it up himself only to find out that the salt unit had been given to someone else. This has been a nightmare. The installer showed up on the 19th of August and completed the two day project on the 24th. If I was to do this over I would have purchased the pool elsewhere by a reputable company with their own installation experts.

I've been shopping here religiously for a few years since moving to town. I wish I could leave a postive review however the customer service in the greenhouse is seriously lacking in courtesy to the point I won't go back again. When a customer asks floor staff a question relating to stock and the associate is blatantly rude and dismissive, is not a good example to portray.

Beautiful garden center with a large selection of plants. Very little in the way of houseplants, so I wouldn't recommend it if that's your focus. If you have a garden, you'll be pleased. Plants are priced a bit high, though.

I purchased a swim spa from hydro pool in Mississauga. Had a good experience with their salesman Jordan. He informed me after the sale that they were transferring the deal to Gary’s Garden centre in Lindsay. As we are in Bobcaygeon I thought great local company. I soon received a call from their spa manager and that he would visit our property and ensure everything would be good to go. The guy never showed up or ever called me back. I had to call multiple times and just never got back to me. I finally talked to someone who gave me information I needed. I finally got ahold of the manager later. Once again he told me he was coming up to our place in Bobcageon to look at the cement pad we had poured and ensure we didn’t need anything else. Again a no show. They did line up Kawartha movers for the crane move which went off without a hitch. But that was Kawartha movers , no one from Gary’s showed up. I called Gary’s to see when they could come out to winterize the spa. Surprise Gary’s doesn’t service their products. Gave me the name of the person they used. Called him twice no return call. I finally found a company called splash that came over right away and got me winter ready. I will never deal with Gary’s again on anything. They took the balance of my payment and I only heard from them once sorry twice when the manager called and said I needed to come to Lindsay immediately To pay my balance or they couldn’t release it. No early warning from these guys, no planning. I rated them a one only because it was the lowest score I could give them.

I would love to be able to rate the garden centre, but after showing up 10 min before closing, the told me they were closed and I couldn’t purchase anything. I raced over after work (only time I can) to buy two tomatoes plants I explain I only wanted to quickly grab 2 veggie plants and was turn away. Very disappointed in the service.

With Easter coming at the end of this month, it gets me thinking about Spring and that gets me thinking about Garry’s Garden Gallery. Right now is the time to be thinking about how I want to plan my garden and deck space. They have it all – quality barbecues, outdoor furniture, hot tubs (wish I could!) – I am in dire need of updating and I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. Come the warm weather, they’ll have the freshest most beautiful flowers for planting, not to mention their lush and healthy trees and shrubs. Any I have ever purchased from Garry’s always thrive despite my struggle with a less than green thumb, and who needs one when Garry’s does it for you? Really, you have to experience it.

I have been going to garrys for over 20 yrs. And i have always found them to be more than helpful. They always have a great variety of different flowers and unique gift ideas. Their prices on plants are always fare. I stopped at hills florists last week and found that some of their flowers to be almost double the price then garrys. Just another reason to shop here. We purchased a hot tub and two men showed up to delivered it. They brought nothing to get it up my 4 stairs on my deck! They tried to use my metal ramps and wrecked two steps while doing this. They left it on its side infront of stairs after I asked them not to as I have 4 kids and am worried it could fall on them. They basically tossed the other boxes in the backyard on the grass and left. I was told there would be chemicals included and there was not. After calling and talking to the manager I was told I was on my own. They told me they will not be back and it is my problem now! Horrible customer service.

Unfortunately I’ve always enjoyed going to this store as the staff are friendly & helpful, however on May 5th/20 I called & asked about purchasing gift certificates & was told I had to order on line, so I did. They text for me to pick up on May 7th, which I did. On the following day I gave the one certificate to our daughter (150.00) to purchase a tree for her new home as it was her 40th b-day! I wanted it to come from her parents so she could always walk out her door & smile & remember us once we’re no longer here. Upon purchasing she was told they couldn’t except any paper due to the ongoing issues with covid 19. ???? So my daughter paid for it... Why if you knew you’d not except your certificates back as cash would you sell them? Isn’t this a form of fraudulent behaviour? So very disappointed !!! Not good business ???? Not to mention you ruined a special moment for my family...
