They showed up on time and were done on time and did clean, professional job, for a reasonable price. In my case, the neighbours wanted to weigh-in on what was being cut. Gavin and Dennis cut down a big dead pine tree and did an excellent job. It was easy and fast to obtain a quote remotely as we spoke on the phone and the quote with a fair price was emailed to me after a few days. During the job, when Gavin noticed that the tree is used to hold up a wobbly fence at the back, he graciously suggested and helped leave a bit of the tree trunk and nail it to the fence. The clean-up was very thorough and the back yard looked neater than before! It was a pleasure to work with Gavin as he went above and beyond to get the job done well. I would definitely recommend Gavin's service!

Urban canopy was chosen to take down a monster willow tree nesting in very close proximity to three homes, with wires and cables crisscrossing all over the small space. We didn't have a lot of choice in choosing Urban Canopy as the response from other companies was worrisome. Six companies were asked to quote along with two of Hamilton's bigger firms, one said 'no thanks' and the other talked about cranes and trouble and never did provide a quote. Gavin and his crew proved to be the most efficient and competent crew we could have chosen. They left the site cleaner than when they started and I should mention of the 5 quotes obtained his was the lowest. In summary, competent, efficient and simply impressive.

Gavin and his crew were great! I called when the big tree in our yard fell over and he was there the next day to remove it. The job was made tougher because the stump had also come out of the ground so it took some time to break it down. They (2 of them) got the entire job completed in a day and cleaned everything up afterwards as well (not easy with a very cold day and snow on the ground)! I would definitely recommend him and I'm pretty sure I may need to call him in the future to deal with some other large trees on our property.

Gavin and his crew took down a HUGE spruce tree in our backyard that took them 3 days. His price was the best compared to the other quotes I was getting. I wish I took a before shot of this tree (this shot was the last day and they were basically just working on the trunk so it looked almost like a palm tree at this point) but you can tell just by looking at the trunk next to the fence how big this tree really was. They were very professional and I almost forgot they were there at times (besides hearing the chainsaw). Our neighbour was also very pleased with this company and how they kept any tree fallings off their side.

I have used this company a couple of times and they have provided the service at the price quoted (33% less than others that I have had quoted); what else can you want? The only caveat is that you have to be patient for them to respond to your inquiry but they have showed up at the time they said they would and did what they said they would.

Gavin and his colleague removed a 35-40 foot white oak tree that was dead at the back corner of my backyard a few days ago. It was impossible to get a lift back there so he climbed it carefully and removed from the top down. I was impressed with the attention to detail and professionalism by him and his crew. His price was very reasonable for the effort and amount of work it took to get the tree down safely without damaging mine or my neighbours property. What I appreciate most is someone who says they are going to do something and follows through and takes ownership over things that maybe don't go as planned. Gavin was polite, professional, he did his job extremely well, his price was excellent, he checked the tree+had my estimate the day I called him, and he did the job within the week. He removed the big broken tree branch I asked about as well as the other trouble spots he showed me when he initially came to check the tree. He was great with the neighbours and with using their yard + driveway. Everything was clean when he was done. Not a twig left behind. I will be calling him again if any issue with one of my trees comes up again.

Felt a strong urge to leave a review. Simply fantastic! Gavin and Tom are whom you should be calling with your 'tree woes.' Courteous, professional, reliable...I could go on and on. Needed work done within a limited time frame and Gavin came through with a competetive price via email (lower than the two other companies that I contacted) and left my property clean! Excellent response time and safe removal of tree that had fallen on the neighbour's roof. However, chose to extract at least 4-times the going hourly rate for a 2-man crew due to "Friday evening during a storm, all hell's breaking loose out there". Not cool. Not a way to earn repeat business.
