bought a tree and planted it. upon further inspection I noticed the main trunk was damaged. notified Kastrau employees both in person and in writing. they were non-responsive and did not take any responsibility. they sent someone over to my house to tie some string around the tree. I guess I could have inspected the tree more thoroughly before purchase but you would assume they would sell quality products. Now I'm stuck with this stunted version of a tree

We were looking for a few cedar hedges and found the assortment of sizes at Kastrau to be excellent. The customer service we received was also a big step up in comparison to other nurseries we have been to as wll. If we expand our landscaping further, we'll come back to Kastrau again.

This is a little nursery with a good focus, and a devotion to plants and not knick knacks. We always get our firewood here, and they have good quality pine and cedar much that is not stained artificial colours.

I am writing to you to express our gratitude for the fantastic job you and your team did in planting our beautiful new tree at the front of our house. My wife expressed to me how particular you were in the placement of the tree and how several times after the tree was placed in the location how you would stand back at the side walk and look at the tree and then turned it several times until you were satisfied, which in itself was challenging given the size. You definitely show a lot of pride in your work which today is seldom seen. Thank you again for all your efforts and we will certainly be back for more and would not hesitate to highly recommend you and your staff to anyone.

Recently Peter Kastrau's landscaping team came to our home to beautify our backyard. Due to prior dealings with this company we knew we were in good hands! Our garden has been transformed into a beautiful oasis! Our small spa pool is now surrounded with a very attractive variety of cedars, boxwoods, and yew bushes. The existing brickwork was carefully restored with sand and drainage. We also have a water feature statue that has not worked for several years. Thanks to the tenacity and hard work of his talented crew, it is once again flowing with ease! My husband, Daryl and I felt we must let others know about the excellent and very reliable work that Katrau's consistently delivers. Thank you Peter, please thank your team of skillful landscapers!

The firewood they sell is not dried properly, and so does not burn - it just creates a lot of smoke and no heat/flame, even with a good fire starter and kindling.

Bad customer service. I dealt with a Shirley lady that you would think knows her plant material working in a nursery but she was clueless. Definitely not going back.
