REVIEWS OF Collective Arts Brewing IN Hamilton

Jenifer Farris

Have tried most of the beers via the LCBO. Then I visited the brewery for the first time. Even in lockdown, it's awesome! Love the art everywhere! And yes, there are special brews that are only available at the brewery. I'm looking forward to the new location opening in Toronto in the fall.

Rupak Banerjee

As a non-beer drinker, I really enjoyed spending time at Collective Arts. Enjoyed a cider while my boyfriend had a few beers he has never tried. Our server, Kyle was friendly and informative. We left with a custom selection for him of beers that aren't available elsewhere and a great mixed pack for a friend. Would go back anytime!

Matthew Williams

Haven't been to their location but their beer tastes fantastic. It's the citrus brand that tastes terrific. It's called Saint of Circumstance. It has a nice crisp taste .

Stuart Holt

Nice patio. Delicious beer. Food trucks on site to grab food of you'd like.

Artem I

Always good beer. Friendly staff.

Matthew Ribau

Great beer!

Book Snuggler

The tap room at this brewery is fantastic. With a huge list of beers to choose from you will want to grab a tasting flight. For those of you who have a growler at home, you should bring it with you.

Duncan Ward

Josh Pekar

Jon Spyne

Food tasted awesome.

Martin Vroegh

Excellent choices and prices

Steven Greenidge

Some of the best beers in Ontario. Enough said.

Mishi Papik

Cool vibe and well put together place in the industrial area of Hamilton. The beers are always interesting and flavorful. The chocolate sour was unreal with the nibs.

Makowski 975

Great beer, and super nice people. They even gave me free hand sanitizer because I’m a healthcare worker!

Vadim Sich

Haven't yet visited -- but fully intend to. Absolutely love their Rhubarb and Hibiscus Gin. Love their ethos, the artwork on their products and their online store will most definitely be a Christmas destination for me for apparel items.

This is a disappointing review to write because I've been a loyal customer of Collective Arts for many years now. I've done the brewery tour, spent a birthday there, visited the brewery several times to sit on the patio, and purchased directly from them multiple times over the past year during the Covid lockdowns. I consistently pick up Collective Arts beer at the LCBO, I regularly order it at restaurants, and I've recommended it to countless people in the past - this is and has been my go-to brewery. On June 18th I went to the brewery with my girlfriend around 1:30PM - we drove through traffic for an hour to get there. It was raining but they have a covered patio directly outside the retail space and they have covered seating at the back, so we hoped to enjoy a beer on either patio. I asked if we could have a beer to drink on the patio directly in front of the retail store (probably 20 ft from the retail counter, visible through a large window). I was told that wasn't possible because: 1. They had no one to serve us the beer on the patio 2. We couldn't drink the beer we purchased at the retail shop on the patio - apparently opening a can and pouring it into a glass is impossible only at Collective Arts. Any other bar, restaurant, or brewery is capable of doing this The employee was nice enough and I'm sure was just following company policy, but honestly it's this type of rigidity in clinging to arbitrary, illogical rules, regardless of circumstances, that drives me crazy. I understand they didn't staff a server on the front patio, likely because it was raining, and that's fine. But that decision shouldn't negatively impact the customer. This is where basic critical thinking and problem solving needs to kick in. The employee could have: 1. Poured us a beer from a tap - they have working taps 2. Opened a can we purchased and poured into into a glass. They do this at every brewery and restaurant. 3. Walked the beer 20 ft to one of the tables outside. It would have taken him 10 seconds to do this. This was simply a matter of choosing arbitrary policy over customer needs - he didn't know how far we came and didn't really care. Rules must be followed! Never mind how illogical they are. After the amount I have supported them over the years it sucked to be treated so dismissively on such a simple request. So we left, went to Merit Brewing downtown, spent $40 on food and beer and then another $110 on beer to take home. We were allowed to sit on the patio there even though there was no server (the bartender came out to check on us a couple of times - what a concept!), we were able to open bottles inside and drink them on the patio, and we were allowed to walk our beer out to the patio. If this all sounds basic and logical it's because it is... Now Collective Arts is big and probably doesn't care if 1 client is upset, which I understand. That said I will never purchase another product from them and I'll ensure I let friends and family know about this experience. When you treat customers dismissively in the name of arbitrary rules, you don't deserve the business.

Meaghan McGill

This is defiantly one of my favorite breweries in the province. The beer is great and the atmosphere is phenomenal. I love the space with all of the different can and bottles on the walls, each one its own piece of art. I would recommend grabbing a flight so you can sample through all of what they have to offer.

Antonette Guerrero

Friendly service. Great beer!

Brad Mabee

This is the place to go if you love a good craft beer. Also, their food truck there is phenomenal - tons of options and all of it was delicious.

Kirby Reycraft

Can't get enough of Collective Arts and their beers! Jam Up The Mash is the best thing brewing anywhere in the GTA!

Andy R

Tatyana Shashkova

Comedy night was a lot of fun. The service was awesome, great selection of hard teas. Really unique and we'll done. Note: Alyssa was absolutely stellar. She was our server for the night and was absolutely stellar.

Cunner Outdoors

Incredible brewery. They single handedly produce 5 of my 10 go to beers. Great place to visit as well

Johnathan Agaton

Awesome vibe. Staff are super helpful.

Mike Harflett

Great beer but I have to say the staff were absolutely amazing. If I lived here I’d stop in after work have a beer and a chat because they’re friendly AF. Would come back for sure.

Daniel Lacroix

They clearly know what they are doing. I have enjoyed pretty much everything they offer (my favourite so far is Jam Up the Mash though) and their same-day delivery is really helpful especially during this Covid-19 era, to say the least. Looking forward to an actual visit when things get better.

Nadia Fontana-Naar

Great beer selection, very friendly staff, the tasters helped guide product selection. The prices were really quite reasonable, as well.

Rachel Schuurman Hess

I wish I could give this place SIX stars! It is the brewery to go to for awesome brews AND equally awesome art, and if you visit when Kyle is behind the counter, you can add in awesome service to the list of reasons you need to stop by! You can see the man:s smile even from behind his mask! Treat yourself to a trip to Collective Arts Brewing!

Jamal Ginsberg

Great beer with a friendly staff!

Anita Windisman

Awesome retail section withe sweet merch! It goes without saying that both the alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks are amazing. So add to it all the staff is supper friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend!

Jason Trudel

Stellar brewery. Quickly becoming one of my favourite breweries in Ontario Their selection is quite unique and deep highly recommended you visit.

Mathew Silvaggio

So many good beers to choose from. Hands down the best can designs in the business!

Laura Dawson

Delicious beers at a very fair price. Cheap delivery. Probably the best part of Covid was discovering C.A.!

Lawrence Stockley

The beergarden was a nice place to enjoy a few beers outside. I liked how the food trucks did table service. The "porta-potties" were clean and nice too! I thought the drinks were expensive since we are only served cans but I understand given the covid situation. We will be returning!

Catherine Meharg

Cool place. Recommended! My colleague plays beer tag app, and this is the place to be to increase the score in the app.

Chris Overholster

Sweet lil place. Stop buy your beer! U don't know which one? Heck, try em out and sit for a bit! Service was a tad slow but newbie behind counter. Good beer....

Jackie R

Hands down the best beers I’ve ever had.

Morgan Bartlett

Amazing place. Especially on holidays. You get to sample until you find whats right for you. Staff is wonderful. Felt like was embraced in a wonderful brew of hugs and hops. Cheers!

dynabanditt

Favorite brewery, hands down. They have a lot of different options, I perfer the citrus flavors. Saint of Circumstance is a great brew if you're overwhelmed by the menu

Matt Monterrey

Darcy

So much hops! Just picked up my first two growlers, the most convenient way to bring craft beer home... Ransack the Universe IPA is more complex than anything from a major brewery, with a huge floral hit on the nose it's almost like biting into the skin a grapefruit. The seasonal Hefewrizen wheat ale is perfect for summer, with light notes of citrus & banana peel. I'll be back for refills next week!

Peter Vander Klippe

I really cannot stress enough how amazing this spot is. I planned a surprise brewery tour of Hamilton for my boyfriends birthday, with the main attraction being CA. Hannah was so accommodating and knowledgeable, it made for a priceless evening. On top of that, the beer is incredible. Definitely go out of your way to pay them a visit!

Adam Cross

We did the tour... Which was awesome! Ryan was a fantastic guide; enthusiastic and I learned lots. Sunny, summer Sunday afternoon in a beer garden with great beer, great cider and live music! So glad we went!

Sean M

Nice spot! Love all the huge scale artwork on every wall you can see. Good selection of drinks, very friendly and accommodating staff. Would like to see better prices but it is what it is.

Ian Fordham

Best beers. Friendly staff. Love this place!

john wood

crazy busy on the weekends. good drinks

Simon Lammers

We stopped by Collective Arts while drive through Hamilton. We loved their beer and wanted to check out the brewery. It's relatively small, but has a great atmosphere and the staff is awesome. They have all of their bottles, which feature the work of artists from around the world, on display. When we left, we got some beers to go, but accidentally received the wrong beer. We contacted the brewery about it and they are going to send the beer to us. Simply amazing!! You guys are awesome, we will definitely be making a trip back in the future.

Patrick Phillips

Drinking my beers I bought yesterday (Sunday, April 25th) and just wanted to give a shout out to the two folks who helped me out - Joey and Alyssa. Suggested Cherry Pie and Tweezer and my wife are floored by how good they are! Collective is always great people and great beer. Thanks for staying open during the pandemic, we would have never tried an Altbier (spelling?) otherwise.

Michael Giorgi

Crowded. No ambience.

Stephen Lavigne

I live 425 km from this most excellent brewery. Thanks for delivering such tasty beer....and hand sanitizer as well. Looking forward to trying some favourites and a couple of new ones.

Christian Mathews-Gagne

I live the space and the beer, but you better be in the mood for hops!

Brother Ollie

Great service and selection of craft beer. Food truck was also amazing!!

Randy Cosby

Fantastic and friendly staff. The selection of sour beers this summer was amazing! Very chill place to visit and experience some truly craft beer.

Maureen Linehan

Best brewery in Hamilton! Huge variety of craft beers. They also have hard teas. Outdoor beer garden is awesome and huge! Parking available. Food truck on site most of the time, and you can bring your own food if you want. Good for groups, but make a resi!

Matthew Thielke

Excellent

Le Voyageur

Love the place

Chris Parsons

Decent beer, but i wish they had something you could snack on while you're there. Edit: I removed a star after getting a somewhat snippy response from the owner. I wasn't trying to be rude or difficult, just wanted to provide some constructive criticism... :(

Chloe Neale

Great staff who took care of us even during a storm! Quick, kind, and informed service.

Andy Dabydeen

Amazing combination of beer and art with super tasty beers. The place is quite small but decorated with a large number of beer cans and buttles that have different works of different artists on them. Sour beers are among the bests I have ever tried! Staff is super friendly and helpful. No doubt to visit and enjoy this artful brewery.

Andrew Girard

Saw this beer at Zehrs in Caledonia, ON and thought I would give it a try......so glad I bought 3 of them because it's my new fav beer!! And then I realized it's made in Hamilton....my hometown!! I will definitely buy again! Perfect flavour! Love it!!

Good micro brewery with interesting history. Can get very busy on weekends with an understaffed counter. Need one more person up front during the rush.

Rupert Woods

Anne McMillan

The delivery process was super easy and well communicated. Definitely recommend if you're looking for some great drinks delivered within a day.

Joshua Rice

Great craft brewery, glad it's local. Can't go wrong with any of their beers, the hours are good and the staff is good. One of the best overall breweries around.

Alex Camilleri

It reminds me of the bush wack home brew without the chunks of potatos hitting my teeth. Save your money cause I threw up right after drinking it

Marcia Solodoski

There was an issue with my shipment before the long weekend and I thought I'd be without beer. I called in a panic. After a quick conversation with the retail team and Hannah, a new shipment was arranged and delivered within hours of my call. These guys know customer service - and Beer! Thanks to all involved, including the delivery guy. Cheers!

Michele McDermott-Fox

Bought a can of their cider and it contained a lot of a brown sediment Sent an email to question it, no response in over a week After chasing down their “communications” person....received a lame response Customer service is non existence Will Never purchase any of their products Sad

Sarah Rajkumar

Excellent ????, great conversation.

LyndsayM Augustine

Super awesome friendly staff really cool setup and the beers are pretty darn good. Thanks to Kyle and Aziza for the first warm welcome to the neighborhood from the brewery. Matt and Amanda

Nick W

First visit yesterday, huge line. Alyssa was my cashier - helped me thoroughly, made me feel like I wasn't wasting her time though I had one million questions. Knew so much about beer! Realised I love IPAs and she introduced me to my new favourite - the IPA 16. You definitely have to try it if you can. I will definitely be back.

Scott deLone

Got a mix of beers with the $5 home delivery, service was fast I believe less than 24 hours. each new one I try is my new favourite, definitely best brewery in the city, probably in Ontario.

Matt Campea

Shawn Leslie

Great selection of craft beers of various strengths and ' hoppiness'.

Walter Macalma

Some of the best beer around! The staff are always nice, and helpful. The only thing I wish is that on beer release days when it's cold there was a warmer place to line up :)

Steve Taylor

I can’t speak highly enough of collective arts. Their beer is hands down some of the best I’ve had and they constantly come up with new and very unique brews, but just as good as the beers are their gin, gin cocktails, and sparkling teas. You can’t buy a lot of their stuff at the lcbo, but delivery is free and I usually get it to my door in Ottawa within 2 days. I literally can’t say enough about how awesome this brewery is. Cheers!

Stephen Bieda

We have now ordered a couple times. One of our favorite places to order from. We cant decide if we like the Gin or beer more.

Adam M

I've been ordering door delivery from Collective Arts ever since I discovered them at the start of the pandemic a year ago. Their beers are *fantastic* - lots of very creative limited releases, everything full of character and fun, and a wide variety of flavours. Best pandemic find!! Ordering and delivery process is smooth, communications clear, and driver tracking is electronic for precise delivery time. Out of many orders there was only one issue with quantity delivered and they immediately made it right and allowed me to keep the initial wrong quantity as an apology. Yes you read that right, folks... free beer lol :) If you haven't yet, try these folks out.. you won't be sorry!

Alexandria Ingham

The tour guides were very informative and so passionate about the company and the beer. Had a fantastic time and would highly recommend the tour. Thanks

Glenn Dickson

I graduated magna cum Lauder from the school of Collective Arts!

Thomas Abthorpe

Delicious beer, great selection, reliable delivery. Highly recommend.

Cathy Scholz

Usually I’m very intimidated going into breweries but felt so comfortable and safe with the two girls behind the counter (I think their names were Alyssa and Mick?) They knew so much about beer and didn’t make me feel silly for asking any questions! Collective is my favourite but even more so now.

Andrea lynn Sloan

Great craft brewery in Hamilton with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Store front sells beer, merchandise and you can enjoy a beer while checking out the art! They have a beer garden out back and host events in the garden and have beer bashes inside the brewery on occasion. They have a beer for everyone...From Stash to State of Mind to sour beers and stouts. Delicious options Check the website for brewery tours. We bring our growlers for refill when we stop in. Love this option. They do some collaborations that are limited time only. Check them out! These pics were taken Feb 18 during one of the beer bashes.

Arkady

Great beer. Recently swung by for a 6 pack on the way to the beach but their fridges were broken, apparently. There wasn't one can of cold beer (of any kind) available in the whole place. Guys, if that happens... buy ice so your customers can crack a cold one and enjoy your product the way it was intended :)

Victor S.

My absolute favorite brewery. The best craft IPA's and coming to the source means you get to try some experimental brews! Sadly the food was quite dissapointing. Not a great spot to grab a bite, but definitely the best to grab a beer!

Colin Michael

Alyssa was above and beyond on comedy night! Thanks Alyssa!

Marc

Randy

Great service and selection of craft beer. Food truck was also amazing!!

Kay S

Great beer, biergarten and food

Jennifer Jaundoo Wolfenden

They have a great variety of beer styles. There is free parking and there were a couple of people that had their dogs with them so I think dogs are welcome. You can also bring your own food as they do not have any food on site. The people were really friendly.

James Rudolph

Always some interesting beers, IPA, and sours.

dailybrewed

All the beer is good but my favourite product is the apple & cherry cider (circling the sun)!!! By far the best cider I've had!

Lindsay Bignell

Great atmosphere, and excellent beer!

Dan Dorio

It is always a pleasure visiting Collective Arts. They are the de facto brewery of Hamilton and their presence is felt throughout the city. Obviously a brewery the size of Collective Arts does not become as big as it does without having incredible beer and an impressive selection of it. Collective Arts has done its part to drive innovation and creativity in the Ontario craft beer scene over the past few years. And of course, the focus on local artists, as seen on their cans and bottles, extends to their brewery itself. Their entire space, including their outdoor patio, is filled with lots of colour and is a real pleasure to spend time at. One thing to note, however, is that for a brewery of their size, Collective Arts does not carry many options on tap and you will likely be drinking out of cans most of the time.

Erick Chacon

Fabulous i like their beer

Scott Morton

Excellent beer and very knowledgeable staff.

Anthony Sunjic

Great beer, staff are polite and very helpful. Open most holidays too!

Lisa V

Great beer (State of mind session beer). Lots of flavour, but lower alcohol. Well done!

Laura Stanley

The service is great in this place; everyone's nice and enthusiastic. The brew quality is as you'd expect from a craft brewery gone big. Their specialty brews just didn't do it for me compared to some nearby micro breweries. Still a great place to go.

Steve Goulet

Davor

Excellent beer !

Ian Kerr

Always love going to this place, great service and absolutely amazing beer!

Jeff MacDonald

This place is a landmark in this city

Chris Bernardi

Just got our beer delivered! Very easy ordered online and delivery to our door with social distancing. Thank you for a creative solution! Now we can have a pint with friends over facetime. Great beer thank you

Calaghan Grainger

Great spot. Highly recomend

Sandi Foster

Great outdoor space for a beer. They have a food truck for delicious snacks too.

Wolff Fiedler

Lovely venue, delicious drinks and friendly staff, tasty food but portions a bit too small for the price

Younggun Kim

Excellent beer! Love this shop. You can sit down and have a few or you can order beer to go. You can get it in cans, bottles, growers and kegs. Pricing is pretty fair. They also have some cool merchandise for sale. Service is fast.

Leandro Pacca

This is my favourite craft brewery in Hamilton. It has some of my favourite sour beer here! The interior of the brewery is super well done and I love how the cans / bottles are displayed along the walls. I’ve also heard some fantastic things about the food truck. They are dog friendly, too!

Matthew Bury

Great selection and delivery to your door, which is very appreciated during the pandemic. The gin mixed drinks are delicious as are the sparkling teas. Would highly recommend Collective Arts, visiting or ordering online.

Matthew Belan

Great staff amazing beers

Sandy Burton

They were very helpful with the tasting/ purchase. On my way out the door one of the sales reps was loading his car with product. I started chatting with him and noticed he I was a fan so he gave me a Collective Arts shirt. That made my day :)

Mitch Georgeoff

This was the first time I've been to this location. The beer selections that we ordered on tap were absolutely delicious! Our server Rebecca was very attentive and friendly. I will definitely go back to visit again soon!

Vivian M

Living in Hamilton, this place is a staple. Absolutely great and informative tour, and great selection. Amazing atmosphere and very knowledgeable staff.

Dan Smith

Great place

sub zero

Used to like them, done with them since Covid. They are only interested in the safety of staff at this narrow little store, not customers. Refuse to take Cash but accept TIPS in cash. True colours have finally come out. Not a community spirited place in times of crisis. Noted and cancelled.

A Kobo (ProjektzTV)

Great time at their beer garden.

Andrew Jacob

This is a WARNING, these humans at Collective Arts are brewing beers that are dangerously delicious. The sour beers in particular may ruin competitors beers for you, they are true to style beers with exciting flavours. Some of the most delicious beers in 2020 coming out of this Canadian brewery!

Rob Riegs

Good beers.

Phil Seel

Excellent beer at this Hamilton brewery! I'm a huge fan of craft beer mostly because of the vast selection of beers craft breweries have to offer, and mostly because of the quality of the beer. Collective Arts tasting bar is a really cool intimate area where you can talk one to one with the employees who will educate you more and more on the great products that Collective Arts has to offer. Lastly, you can't leave without getting a 64 Oz growler. I will for sure be making weekly visits to get my growlers filled with fresh beer!

Sean Michael Kerner

Cool venue. Great music. Fantastic beer.

Mike Thornton

Great selection of seasonal labels. Staff are really nice to talk to and can give great recommendations.

Jay Juarez

Apparently I gave you guys a one star review in my pocket during Liquid Arts last weekend. My bad. Beer is top notch. Facility is top notch. Will definitely be back! Sorry Bob

Chris Graham

Love this place and their products. Always something new to try.

Christopher Heenan

Having visited 50+ craft breweries across Ontario and elsewhere, Collective Arts is certainly one of the funkiest - very inspired art and murals. Bar staff was extremely friendly and most importantly beer choices were superb. I have tried (and enjoyed) most of their "main LCBO brews" but was pleased to find many limited and small batch releases along with some unique collaborations. I'll most certainly be returning. This brewery is emerging as a "large scale" micro brewery - going to (and already has) make some serious international waves.

Andy Dewar

Always love going there. Great people. Great beer. It's fun to see what their latest Collective Arts Project brews are.

Tyler Dadswell

A really cool place to grab a beer.

Samantha Auton

Great brewery that has a small tasting area. Not set up to accommodate large groups.

Jason Alleblas

Got two growlers I can't seem to keep full.

Jamie O'Connor-Spark

Yes...YES...Y E S!!! Did a quick drive by drop in pick up while out for a drive! I canNOT wait to go back in the summer & enjoy their beer garden, once the patio season opens/COVID is no more. One of my favourite breweries. Was excited to make the pit stop & bring a large assortment home. TONS of parking & they have clear social distancing stipulations to adhere with governmental laws current with COVID. They are also providing curb side pick up as well. CHEERS!!!

Jon MacAulay

Fantastic beer

neoarmour

Hey guys, I love your Ransack the Universe beer but was really disappointed today when I came in from out of town to fill up a growler and there was none. Staff were great and tried to offer alternatives but this is the beer I love and what I was looking forward to. Left very disappointed today. Dave

Kartik Patel

Great experience

Stephen MacLeod

Very nice place and friendly environment. Beers were pretty awesome. Loved the dog friendly atmosphere

Alishia Wingrove

They make phenomenal beers here. You must try their beers if you find yourself in Hamilton.

Brad Barracuda

The staff, the brew...bueno

Matthew Smith

I am a big fan of this place! What a great hidden Jem in Hamilton! The beer here is great, CRAFT beer at almost DOMESTIC prices! Why go to a bar to get a craft can of beer for 9 dollars when you can fill up a one of their growler jugs for much less! I am a sour beer drinker, including the price of the jug... I paid about 13 dollars for this.....then the next time I visit I CAN JUST REFILL THE JUG. It honestly cant be beat. WILL be returning very soon!

JEFF WEISS

Great beers on tap, dog friendly, welcoming staff.

Amy Quinlan

Long time customer of their cider. Have recently been buying their audio visual lager. Delivery during these covid times is great. Very simple and quick. All the delivery people are very friendly and I like the fact that their products are made in hamilton! 100 % recommend for beer and cider.

Brian LeNguyen

Excellent beer! We really enjoyed the tour. The passion for their work is clearly evident.

Codie Chisholm

Great local brewery with good selection of craft beers and seating areas, dog friendly too.

Shane Stahl

Send a text to say delivery will be between 4pm and 9pm and then show up at 12:30pm and charge the delivery fee again because we were out. Not impressed.

Adam Deathe

Definitely one of the best craft brewers in the province. You really can't go wrong with the majority of offerings. The brewery is big enough that you can expect consistent quality but unlike some other craft breweries that get big they manage to retain a sense of adventure, regularly bringing new and exciting beer to market. The fact that they feature so many local artists on their products is certainly in line with this kind of thinking and representative of the vibe I get from Collective Arts writ-large.

Mat Kay

Lovely beer. Dog friendly. Perfect.

Thibaut Drevet

All of my favourite beers in one single place. How convenient :)

Graham Pascal

Must try their Piña Colada sour beer! It’s limited release but hoping it lasts longer than a season

Glenn Robinson

Was not there..

christopher nalezinski

Great patio for drinks

Jenyne Willard

I just tried "Ransack the Universe" as part of my quest to try as many different world (including, of course, Canada) beers. I was overcome! It rates a seven of five stars, or whatever scale one can use to describe "phenomenal". I wish I lived in Hamilton! Richard, Cochrane < Ont. - north of the 49th!

adventure ontario

Never been to the brewery but have ordered various beers 3 times in the past 2 months after my neighbor introduced me to collective arts beer. The beers are a hit or miss, I find. Absolutely loved the Mango and Passion Fruit IPA but it disappeared from the website right before I was going to place a big order as everyone in the family loved it. Emailed them to inquire about it but no one bothered to respond. Later found out it was a limited release. What a bummer. Ransack the Universe was OK... Matter of Fact blond ale was very good. Ciders were so-so, strange aftertaste, but I did like the Circling the Sun cider. Some beers were downright undrinkable, like Mai Tai sour (really weird taste) or the Blueberry, Chocolate, Coffee and Vanilla Sour - I couldn't finish one glass. Liked the IPA #17 a lot but it's a limited release as well. Frustrating to come to like a beer only to have it unavailable a couple of months later. I am glad they just recently started offering every beer for purchase as individual cans. A month or two ago when I was ordering, Mai Tai or the Blueberry, Chocolate, Coffee and Vanilla Sour, for example, were only offered as 4-packs or larger... if you don't like it, you have to throw away a few cans which is what I did with a few beers that I ordered, unfortunately. Same day delivery if you order early enough is great. And thanks for the inspiration. I have brewed a 5-gallon batch of milkshake IPA and it tastes amazing. Never thought I'd like this type of beer but I love it.

S G

Great spot to enjoy a great variety of beers , teas & sodas. Music set at the perfect level for chatting, patio just big enough that no one is too close. A fantastic afternoon, indeed

Jose Gonzalez

Collective Arts is the bomb

Richard Rogers

25+ visits. I guess you can say we like it! Best beer in Ontario and cool tasting room and patio when summer rolls around.

Soojin Kim

After a rocky start being misinformed when we 1st got there. When being put on the waiting list, we were sent to the "Tiny Tavern" on the other end of the Brewery. Upon arrival and ordering a drink. I was informed it was last call at 1745 hrs.We got there at 1740hrs...Aziza arrives and I explain how we were not told about it being last call so early by the person taking the reservations. She could sense my frustration and handled the situation perfectly. Aziza made everything better. Thank you Aziza for the amazing service and experience.

Alireza Mirbahari

Friendly people, cool vibe, great selection for sampling and straight up drinking!

Robert Cramero

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!! We had an issue with an order that was shipped to us. It arrived with more than half the beers missing. SAD FACE! We still aren't sure what exactly happened in transit...maybe a thirsty courier? But they more than made it right by replacing the order and expediting it to us. Thank you Collective Arts!!

Jon Yip Chuck

Every time I've visited this brewery I've experienced nothing but amazing service and great brews! This is the place to go if you love a good craft beer. Also, their food truck there is phenomenal - tons of options and all of it was delicious. 100% get the pulled pork tater tot poutine, it was definitely the highlight!

Kevin Carney

Greta experience in the beergarden. Plenty of space and easy to get drinks inside. Tonnes of parking. Kids welcome and other kids there too!

Tate Medcalf

Great time, amazing beers and some great food

Shan Graszat

Nice initiative pairing craft beers and local art. Their beer products are delicious and very good quality. The brewery and tap room itself is small but has a nice atmosphere along with a wall of the different label artworks to check out. Would definitely recommend if you enjoy a proper craft-beer. One major drawback is the location of the brewery, right in the industrial zone which is mainly accessible by car making it unsuitable for having a few drinks. Luckily they sell growlers and cans to go, which can be pricey though.

Alan Caballero

What an outstanding experience. So helpful, pleasant, and friendly. Can’t wait to be able to come back when things open up and spend some more time there. Thanks again!!

Gus Alexandropoulos

I came to your website after reviewing your job posting on Indeed for the Marketing and Events Co-Ordinator. Unfortunately, there is some criteria you are looking for that I don't currently posses, nor am I available for my new career until the end of October. Having said all that, any time I can read a Google review on a potential new employer, I will jump at the chance. What better way to obtain an unbiased look at a company and it's people, to help make the decision on whether to apply or not ? :) I just had to take the time to relay to you how cool I think it is that not only are your patrons and followers comments responded to in the manner that they are (good or slightly less than good review) but that your passion and your pride in Collective Arts Brewing is wonderfully obvious. We will DEFINITELY be making a point of visiting your fine establishment. Wishing you continued success !

Lee

I went on a free tur of factory today nicnack breweries

Rob Anderson

Great selection of craft beer. No food though. There is a patio. Service is very good.

Kelly Gater

Great beer good growler specials weekly worth checking out!

Michael Planck

Hannah Uzelac

It is hard to find a beer that you don't like here! Thumbs upppppp

Bernardo Garcia

Limited edition Bourbon Barrel-Aged Maple Syrup. It has an outstanding flavour.

Terry Labach

You can buy their excellent beer all over, but their store also has a nice selection of original creative stuff, like shirts and glasses.

sean richards

Really cool spot! Aaron was a great host!

Anna P.

Have been enjoying Collective Arts beer for years now. While they do an excellent job of brewing standard styles of beer, what makes them outstanding to me is the creativity behind many of their brews. Many of the beers they release are made with interesting ingredients you don't see too often in other beers, which makes them unique. Even though not everything they have released is for me, I don't think they have ever released anything that wasn't top quality. They definitely have something for everyone here.

Blain Angus

I'm an IPA guy and these guys know IPAs. Great selection, always new brews to try any time you go in. Ransack and Life in the Clouds are friggin sweet.

Terry Welsh

Love this place.

Shane

I haven't visited the brewery yet but I hope to in the very near future. The reason for my review is I have tried many of their beers over the last few years and love them all. Great beers with great branding. I love how they support up and coming artist.

Ketty Bellido

Amazing bottle gallery. Also great selection and formats of your favourite beers

Steve D.

My husband and I paid a visit back in early December and it was cold that day. We didn’t make a reservation but managed to grab a table where there were no heaters. A few minutes into looking at the drinks and food menu, our server came over to tell us a bigger table was available and it also had a heater. I thought it was nice of them to move us since they could have easily left that table for a bigger party. The staff here were super friendly and accommodating even though we only ordered two drinks. Afterwards, we decided to go to the shop and picked up some of the craft beers and merch. I love how the shop supports local artists! I ended up buying a handmade scrunchie and still use it till this day. Would definitely be back when the weather is warmer and when COVID goes away.

Matthew Agro

Delicious beer.. bug got soaked with a storm and no indoor seatings... Patio is awesome.

Mackenzie Williams

Nick DiFlavio

Just hadthis beer at 99 bottles beer festival in Norwalk Connecticut and have experienced true racism until I encountered their "volunteers" (as they identified themselves). Never felt so disgusted in my life.

Rob H.

Review of their taproom: generally love their beers so was happy to find unique brews/collabs not found elsewhere! Tight for seating on a busy night but high top tables allow you to rest your drink and mingle. Dog friendly as well! Curious about their “beer hall” around the corner... maybe next time!

kallen saczkowski

What a great brewery .. had a nice flight

Mahsa Salmani

Warning. Check the date codes on anything you buy here. Their fresh beer is great. But they also sell old sludge without any regard to quality.

Lyubov Lytvyn

Great service and friendly staff. An excellent selection of drinks. I recommend the mango/pineapple sparkling hard tea. The shrimp tacos are great. Also, the murals around the building are beautiful.

Andrea A

Super fun, super cool place. I loved going here. I only wish they had more on tap and had flight and glassware ready out on the beergarden.

Ryan Elliot

i think this hand craft beer is the best i ever had, and it is the art of ontario. only the one 8.6 dark beer can't find it from lcbo anymore.

Hilary Welter

not only does CA have the best beer in Ontario (in my opinion) but also the best service I’ve experienced in a while. We stopped in to pick up some beer from the retail store with a grumpy 2 year old and not enough arms to carry out our flats of beer, and without asking, the employee helping us carried out our beer to the car, even on a super busy day with a long lineup behind us. She went above and beyond to give us a hand and it did not go unappreciated!!

James H

Awesome beer, check them out for flights and a tour. Would recommend to anyone into craft beer or beer in general.

Brendan Wilson

My boyfriend and I checkout breweries wherever we travel and Collective Arts is definitely 1 of my top 3 in the area. They have a great selection of IPAs & sours and usually a interesting stout to try. They have an awesome list of regulars (Ransack and Mash Up the Jam being our favourite) along with an interesting/creative rotation of IPAs, Gose (sours), and ciders. Recently they've had a few Berliners as well which have been very tasty. My boyfriend loves IPAs whereas I am more of a sour and cider person so Collective Arts has a perfect selection for both of us. Whenever we are in the area we stop by here at least a few times for flights and growler fills. They are also dog friendly. If you are ever in Hamilton doing a brewery tour definitely put this one our your list! Also we attended the Liquid Arts Festival a few weeks ago and it was awesome!!! Hands down the best beer festival I have ever attended. Really hope they make it an annual event.

Christopher Dunne

Great afternoon. Thank you! Great beers and very informative staff. We learned a lot in a short time. A definately go to tasting.

Sean Martin

Been to their patio in the summer, neat spot to hang and beer about. Also got some growlers just a bit ago, fun space, friendly service! ????

Dylan Dakota (Fingers of Salad)

Enjoyed our time until the 2nd waitress came and didn't like our questions. Were nice and said nice otherwise. Told her we weren't driving. Didn't care. Too bad

Julia C

One of the best breweries in Ontario as of early 2018 but not much of a place to visit; it's a small, cramped corner of a student college in what is essentially a narrow corridor. The collection of art-decorated bottles and cans that line the walls makes for a fun museum to explore for a few minutes, but other than the fantastic beer there isn't much to do or eat here. Recommended for craft beer lovers only.

Ryan D

Went in tried 3 beers. Couldn't get past the first sip of any of them. Service was good, staff was friendly. But this is by far the worst beer I have ever had. It's really a hipster's paradise

Dan Ladden

The whole idea behind the design of the cans is genius, they look amaaaazing; showcasing worldwide artists and musicians, it’s so interesting to look at while you’re drinking. I purchased some sour beers and was not let down, they tasted as great as the cans looked. I give just 4 stars because staff that were working were a little “blah”. Maybe it was just an off day.. But it was my first time going there, and after all of the hype I’ve heard about the sour beers, I thought the atmosphere would match. Please encourage staff to ask customers if they’ve been there before, and kind of give a spiel of the artistic ideas behind the cans or what they recommend because of course not everybody walking through that door has been there before. It would be nice if they were more enthusiastic and could inform new customers on your products, flavours, pricing etc. The lady working that day kind of made me feel stupid when I asked. Nonetheless, I will be a returning customer.

Colin Gauthier

Denis Mankovsky

Awesome staff, easy-going atmosphere, colourful space, and deliciously crafted beer! They have a patio is big with plenty of seating. I also love that they have a games room on the side. Their latest artistic addition, a mural featuring the works of several artists, is absolutely beautiful.

Laurie Archer

Collective Arts is such a fantastic brewery! I recently had some help from Kelsey in their customer relations department and she was a wizard! She took the time to call me on the phone (!) and we were able to sort out some logistical details and share a laugh. Such great service and brews, I feel like a salesmen whenever I talk about them with friends, lol. Keep up the great work guys and gals, all you do is always great! Thanks for keeping my glass full of flavour!

Steve Clark

Dave

Didn't let us in 1 hour before their event started.

Mike McKay

Excellent choice of craft beers. The dark one like Guinness was delicious... Service is excellent. Bring the pet. Sit on the big beautiful patio. Enjoy the artwork! Gigantic and beautiful ❤️

Corey Owen

Great cider and beer! Love the artwork on the cans too

Mike Ecclestone

Very friendly and helpful staff, enjoyed my visit!

ben matthie

Terrible, gross sediment and smelled awful.

Josh Bolton

Great spot for beer. Nikki gave us the brewery tour and she was great

Kevin Morgan

The Audio/video laver was tasty. The staff were only so so. When I went back for second beers, they seemed more concerned with their coworker leaving.

Cal Grainger

Love collective Arts and love the beer. But was really disappointed when I brought our out of town friend to the Brewery and you guys were using plastic Dixie cups for the flights. For a high end craft beer it really gives off a "cheap" image that does not align with the brand. As small a detail as it may seem, I feel it's not to be overlooked. Otherwise, beer as delicious as always

troy baxter

They promise next day delivery in Hamilton for orders placed in the afternoon. I ordered and paid Friday April 24 in the afternoon. I am writing this at noon on Tuesday the 28th. I'm still waiting for the beer. I should not have planed on these guys being reliable!

kaphy

Love this place, lots of great options, amazing beer, and best of all same day delivery if you order before noon. I have been using the service since the beginning of covid. Every time the drivers have been super professional and personable, my order has not had a mistake once. There was even a time I messed up and ordered for a time I wouldn't be home to accept delivery, I contacted them and they changed my delivery to a time that worked for me within minutes. I love the personal touches too, I actually have a hand written note from them on my fridge right now. Maybe I am a little old school, it's a small thing, but it's something that's so rare these days. It really reminds you that you are supporting local not just helping some CEO buy another maserati.

Alvin C

Have always loved collective. The team is great. Beers are always top knotch and vibes are on point! Highly recommend as a top brewery in the city

Andrea Kavanagh

Absolute champions making the best beers! Love all their IPAs. Sour beers are to perfection as well. And love how they appreciate good art. Tried their online delivery which was flawless. Thank you guys! You make the lockdown easy on us.

Johnny russell

Friendly staff, great selection of taps... I wish more of the collabs and special releases were available for growler purchases, but it's understandable why they aren't.

Jesse Truman

We went to their beer garden and pop up food shop and it was fantastic. I got a bulgogi and kimchi fries thing and she had a crispy chicken sandwich - super delicious! Very cosy industrial atmosphere in the place with their characteristic graffiti on the surrounding buildings. Looking forward to coming here again soon. Def have to book a table ahead of time though!

Vanessa Passaretti

Collective Arts have a wonderful selection of beers, their project beers are very interesting and so delicious. The art on their labels and cans is amazing, and their retail shop is adorned in it.

Phil

✌️✌️ amazing time, good vibes, and well, the atmosphere, ransack the universe!???????? The staff are very positive, helpful, and well knowledged!!!

Daniel Capoferri

I had to wait nearly half an hour to get my food. The portion was tiny, and way overpriced. Not worth the money or the wait. Disappointing experience.

Marcin Tandecki

Heaters on a cold night was nice, atmosphere amazing, yummy cherry & apple cider????

Allison Choquette

This place is super chill, cute patio, awesome beer and good food! I tried the Pina Colada hard tea and the Guave Gose both were excellent! The pork belly and mushroom bao buns are also a must try!????

Melanie Z

Best damn thing to come to Hamilton in a long time. It's been a void in Hamilton since Lakeport was sold off, and subsequently closed down. They've done a beautiful job creating a piece of Hamilton within the very walls of Lakeport. It's an excellent product, top tier, using time honoured methods of creating the perfect brew. There's always a new beer being released to keep your taste buds delighted. It's a building and company that has become part of the community. Offering local artists the chance to grace their bottles, and the walls of their brewery. An incredible concert venue, including a soon to be patio outside to house concerts and delicious beers and foods in 2016. Well worth a taste and visit!

Marc Hubler

Great place, very busy!

Michelle Shea

Great place to grab some great beer- merchandise is pretty solid too!

Carlo Fusco

Well update once everything arrive.

Grace Wiebe

Great beer, friendly easy to talk to staff always there to help! Easy drinking environment with epic art everywhere, merch and growler fills to buy and fill. Variety of beer that includes a nice line up of sour beer, always rotating. In the old lake port facility. Just look for the sign “Craft Beer Here.”

mrradoslaw

Great beer.

Doug Middleton

Great place, best craft beer around, great staff

Jessey Rice

Great staff, very friendly spot!

Gee

While the beers & atmosphere are fantastic - the food is a complete let down. We spent $80 on bao's that were completely smothered in oil making them soggy & inedible. Super disappointing! :( Won't be eating here again, that's for sure.

Jess Shore (Curiously.Jess)

Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The best is amazing. I am looking forward to spending some time in the beer gardens

Ryan Priddle

Life in the Clouds is the perfect beer.

Matthew Azzopardi

Never disappoints. Drove into the Hammer to pick up a case of Hazy State and their Nom x Nom x Nom food truck was serving up their signature chicken sandwich and Mac & Cheese. Outstanding!

Nathalie Torres

Hetal M.

Elliott Gwynne

Great location and great beer! Would 110% recommend!

shirrie Jackson

Love this place! Stranger than fiction... Incredible

Chris Wilson

I love this little brewery! Bold flavours mixed with kickass artwork on their cans makes for a reliable go to when picking up a few brews. One of my favourites is the Prophets & Nomads made with pink himalayan salt. When I'm craving something sweet, I reach for one of those ;)

Celena M

Awesome craft beer full of flavour

Paul Wieleba

Great beers, great service!

Faith Pickles

Ordered a glass of beer for $6 and they poured half a tall can into a glass. I guess if I want the rest I have to pay another $6 or they just serve the rest of my flat beer to someone else or the drain. For $3.25 I’d recommend buying the entire can and drinking outside. The ambiance isn’t as good, but the value is.

Jeff Sephton

One of Hamilton's great "must visit" places in my opinion. Something for everyone as far as beer goes.

David charlton

Amazing staff. Great experience.

Daniel Rogers

Recommended to me by a few acquaintances because of the home delivery...well, now I feel like I've been missing out all this time! They have an amazing variety of products and I'm impressed all around. Highly recommended!

Robert Lamanes

SAINT OF CIRCUMSTANCE is my favorite!

Dennis Hartwick

Great beer even better people.

Alexander Preiss

Encountered a problem with a beer from their brewery and they took care of the problem very quickly. Excellent customer support. Hope to visit the brewery once this psychological and biological warfare program is over and theres no need to show any proof of taking any filthy chemical injection that is not effective against self caused bacterial pneumonia.

Scott Deslippe

Great place, good luck for the future

Sunil Puri

Great place for delicious beers

Joel Drake

Nice place....

Bill Roberts

Had the tour. Rockin beer. Cool people. Great tour. Def check it out

Laurence Perle Barchichat

Best brewery ever!

Andrea H

Outstanding brews and service at the Collective Arts tasting room. We came in from Buffalo to check the place out because we love their beer. They were so impressed we came all the way there just for them that they gave us some free stickers and buttons. A++++

Corissa George

Collective Arts makes the best beer in Hamilton. I often drive past the LCBO specifically to buy beer direct from the brewery just because I love it so much. I've never bought a beer to drink on site but it's often very busy and looks like a great place to do that. Also I hear they run tours but again I haven't done that. I just buy delicious beer and then consume it.

Anthony Milek

Nice beer.

Krithika Iyer

Great atmosphere to enjoy some beer freshly brewed. This place is very busy on Saturdays with a steady stream of patrons coming in to enjoy a pint of beer.

Shawn Duench

I have to say a vast improvement over the boiled lake water that used to be made at this brewery. Great staff and great beer! Thanks for making Hamilton beer great again!

The Booku

Absolutely fantastic brewery. From all the delicious flavours to the incredibly friendly staff to beautiful images on their cans, there is no brewery finer outside of the GTA. And it was surprisingly busy for a Monday morning, which is always a good sign. Try their new release Hot Pink. Stupid name but really cool can and super delicious IPA.

Eric Sibley

First time visiting the brewery in person, and wow, this must be the worst patio ever. How does a brewery fail so hard? No draught beer and they expect you to drink from a can? Pathetic experience, truly horrible

Nathan Sears

The brewery has a really cool atmosphere with lots of huge murals and a nice patio. A good selection of beer, and some light food is available from a food truck. The wings and pork bun are delicious. I’d recommend making a reservation in advance.

Michael Diduch

First time here but staff was awesome with suggestions that i ended up getting a few staff selections to try. Will def be back

Canadian Bespoke Strapworks

Collective arts has a great selection of beers and we love the artistic designs and creativity that goes into designing and naming their products!

Josh Putnam

Cozy tasting room and bottle shop.

Sacho Kocevski

Great times to be had here!

Gera Harvie

The best brewery in ontario

Marta L

Been drinking your beers from afar in Toronto for a coupla years now and they've always been top notch. Finally had the chance to visit the brewery and the experience matches the high hopes I had. Doing everything right and safe, beer is still awesome and delicious fish & chips from the food truck. Keep up the good work friends.

Willow Watson

Great service and their sours can't be beat !!!!!

Adam Oatman

Amazing!

Josh Alley

Love the app to track delivery. Driver was super friendly.

CYNTHIA DiCARLO

Fantastic beer. Possibly the best in southern Ontario. Warm and helpful staff. A+

Ryan O'Boyle

Beer. Art. Community. All done magnificently.

thomas hindrichs

Great selection available for purchase.

Stephanie Melnyk

One of the best craft breweries in Canada. Try as many beers as you can, you won’t be disappointed.

Vikram Singh

Made reservations at the beer garden and once there we were told to sit at a table with no shade even though we were the only group there. I asked to be seated under an umbrella and was denied. To make things worse, once we received our beers they were luke warm, so don't bother going, save your time and money and go elsewhere.

mrkylemamos

Love this brewery’s beer and service. Have ordered online a number of times this year, quick service and delivery across the province. The life in the clouds is a staple, and I enjoy trying each variation of Surround Sound and # IPA. The age of darkness imperial stouts were awesome. Even found some free samples in my latest order. Keep up the great work and creativity

Shawn Goode

Absolutely love their beer. One of my top 5 Breweries in Ontario.

liv d

Dropped by the Brew Shop to pick up some beers. So many to choose from. So much eye-catching merch too. Probably another visit soon is needed.

Jeff G

Their "Nature of Things" dry cider is perfection!!!

Ryan Muller

Best craft brewery in Hamilton, and dog friendly! They've got their regular line-up but every time I've gone here they have several new options on tap. The brewery is also a great hub for local art, just check out their walls next time your in!

patrick C

Beer is fantastic and the online ordering is an easy transaction. Home delivery has been great as well.

Aimee S.

One of the best breweries in Ontario! Awesome vibe, friendly staff and good food and drinks. Definitely worth a trip to Hamilton to check out.

Michael Dixon

Hands down one of the better craft brewers in Ontario. Do the beer tour totally worth it. And make sure you grab the one offs on your way out.

Isabelle Danet

Amazing beer, great vibes

Louis Roy

it taste gud

ryan woodcroft

Fraser Nuttall

I've tried a few beers over the summer and I've been the most impressed with Collective Arts. I like all of the products I've tried, especially Life in the Clouds. I hope to get to the brewery someday to sample kinds not available at the LCBO.

E S

Very enjoyable, even if you did forget to hang my daughter's art, lol!

ellie o

Always a warm and friendly atmosphere. And with a good selection of craft IPAs.

Ernst Lueger

Despite having no tasters (because of Covid) it was a good place with good service. If I was ever in the neighbourhood, I would return.

Martin Sims

Great customer service. Patient with our large order and even offered to help carry to the car ????

Nadine Eby

Amazing beers, and always fresh! Well worth a stop, as they're always brewing up something new.

M Pham

Everything about collective arts brewing deserves 5 stars. Their culture. Their designs. Their brand. Their storefront. Their beergarden. Their service and hospitality and most importantly their beer. Collective Arts is a Staple not only in #Hamont but in the GTA/golden horseshoe. They reach out so much further than just beer and instill such an awesome culture and vibe it's amazing. Cant wait to go back and try all of their beers and gin!

n moran

Tour was fun, the people are awesome, and the beer is tasty!! My only regret was forgetting to bring my growler with me to get filled up!

Tim Tapp

Great beer. Local art work. Amazing atmosphere.

sterling hamilton

I knew they had Excellent beer, and was super pleased with the friendly staff and art setup

Brian Kretz

Amazing beers and amazing staff!

Avery Goulet

Please never stop making you're sour beer. It's my go 2. Lots of love from Calgary Alberta.

Steven

Saw this beer at Zehrs in Caledonia, ON and thought I would give it a try......so glad I bought 3 of them because it's my new fav beer!! And then I realized it's made in Hamilton....my hometown!! I will definitely buy again! Perfect flavour! Love it!!

Brian Cook

We love sour beers and there is no better place to go.

Jodie Leishman

Great atmosphere! Staff is very knowledgeable/friendly good vibes here and great tasting beer! if you're ever in the neighborhood I suggest picking up a couple growlers! I would recommend trying State of mind it's my favorite :D

Emily Walker

The best brewery in Ontario

Kris Hiuser

Great atmosphere, friendly service, fantastic beer!

lionel gibson

Great service. Great beer

Vic Moljgun

They will give you the full treatment if it's your first visit - I was treated to a "flight" where I was given a small sample of each beer ???? they had on tap. I recommend buying a growler and returning often. Ransack is my favourite of theirs so far, but their staff are super helpful and will help you pick your new fav.

Norberto Castrejon

meps Mepham

Wonderful and unique beers!

Glen Airy Glen Rocks

10/10 would drink here again. Theres also lots of friendly doggos that come in!

Mike Capucinno

The beer is excellent here. It’s on my way home from work and my girlfriend and I prefer going to the brewery instead of picking up from the LCBO. However, I have only given 4/5 stars because it seems 90% of the time I go to the tap house the staff are either rude or have the personality of a brick wall (and this is coming from a bricklayer). This is the most “Ok boomer” review I have ever made, but it just happens so frequently I have to make it known. It’s to the point where I would rather purchase from the LCBO to eliminate the condescending douchey vibe I experience.

Stewart Weston

Alex Jones

Had the Spacial Relations sour locally and it was an instant favorite...like a top 10 all-timer / immediately tell friends about it beer. Nice work guys!

Julian Zadorozny

Great vibe, beer, food and service!

Ryan Grondin

My favourite brewery in Southern Ontario is, luckily, in my hometown. Fantastic beers, plenty of choices, great prices. You can try one or two in their bottle room, or take a few home. They have more options than what you can find in your local LCBO. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

John Luis

Only downside is government related. Cider cannot be sold on site. Came here specifically for their Apple-Cherry cider and had to drive to Fortinos.

Ravinder Jhajj

Best brewery in Ontario hands down. Keep up the tastey brewing!

Trevor March

Great beer, great tots! It's great that pets are allowed!

Taylor

Nice little place, decent beer. However, I asked for a quick look at the brewing area and was told they "can't do tours on weeknights". Even though I watched four 20-something bros yuck it up for two hours instead of working. One chance to make a first impression....

A S

Super friendly staff, awesome atmosphere and out of this world amazing beer selection...you won't be disappointed!

Dave D

This place is great, everyone there is super nice and knowledgable about their product, while some of the beers dont do it for me, they almost certainly have at least something for everybody, decent prices and cool deals, as well as great artwork on the cans, admittedly the majority of the beers are on the hoppy side of things but they still have really good stuff if that's not your thing, I fully reccomend "Jam up the mash/Prophets and Nomads" if you're looking for something different, "surround sound" is where it's at if you want hoppy beer, No bagels but to be fair no food at all so that's ok

Samantha Champagne

We popped in here after our first set of hikes as you were chasing waterfalls in Hamilton. We didn’t have any reservations but saw online that you could do first come first serve and thought we would take our chances. when we got there, there were a lot of open tables, yet there wasn’t any thing available for us to be seated right away. We were patient and asked if we could wait a bit because we had heard great things and really wanted to try the beer and food. We saw a few people leave and noticed on the reservation system that there wasn’t anyone coming yet we were told that we still needed to wait my friend decided to talk to the manager who was kind enough to seat us down right away as we told them we were from Toronto. The service was great we got served relatively quickly minus the fact that we had to ask for water a few times and it was a really hot day. I decided to get the flight I tried two beers and two seltzers. I ended up having the pork belly bun as my lunch and had two servings of which the second one I shared with one of my friends. The pork belly is cooked to perfection and the extra sauce that comes with was delicious. My friend who had the mushroom buns really enjoyed her food as well. The corn salad was interesting we thought it would be a little bit more sweet and it was more so on the saucy tangy side not something that we would have again but the buns were definitely worth it. One thing I really liked about the beer garden is the art there are a lot of painted walls that are different and beautiful

Frank Oppermann

Great focus on Vision

Mr Robot

Great beer

A.H. Case

Great beers, friendly service...will be back.

Andy

Great vibe, and even better beer!

R

Best beer ever... Love that it's local and so damn good!

Heather Green

Full waitlist for outdoor restaurant so reservations highly recommended but got a spot on the patio for the bottle shop. As always, delicious beer & cider (didn't partake in food service but menu sounded tasty) HOWEVER were out of alot of their selection which was disappointing & why only 3/5. Beautiful wall art, of course. Good, clean & attentive service overall & outdoor washrooms available.

Brandon Chambers

Service was awful, prices are very high and some of the beer was very bad.

alyssa thompson

Clean, modern interior and great selection of beer. Even their beer flights look aesthetic. A little out of the way, but free parking is also available.

sean anderson

Great beer love it here ❤????

M McNally

I haven't yet made it up to the brewery, but can still speak to the product - and more importantly - the people behind the product. Long story short, I've had a couple of minor issues with some cans. No big deal. It happens to every brewery at one point or another. I speak from personal experience. Most good breweries will point you to the nearest store/distributor for an exchange of your problematic beer. One step above would have been to ship a replacement 4-pack. But that simply wasn't enough for Collective. They responded by sending their NY sales rep out to my tiny village to rectify the situation. Their rep took it even further. On top of rectifying the situation he also provided some really enjoyable convo about the industry at whole. The end result was a new friend that exemplified the greater essence of the brewing industry: we're all part of a greater family! We look after each other. And every stranger is family. Sounds cheesy, right? I promise with all my heart it's genuine, though! I've been involved with the brewing industry in one shape or another for more than five years now, and I can personally attest to the fact that Collective has provided an experience right up there with any other. That is to say: they're the elite! So money, baby! I know beer. I know breweries. Trust me when I say Collective is one of the best!

Love this place. The beer is excellent and the staff friendly.

Busy as hell but fantastic beer. This is the closest to heaven so far.

Flights!

Ordered online with that door step delivery the process was simplistic and the prices fair. The description of the drinks sound great and the artwork in the pics look sexy af. Once I have a chance to try them I will update my review accordingly, however I'm 99 percent sure I will enjoy them. A friend of mine from work recommended these guys and usually he is spot on :)

Brendon Vanderveen

Love this place. Great beer, but what's perhaps more compelling is that they are making the location a venue to showcase local (and visiting) musical talent. And it doesn't hurt that it's within walking distance!

Elizabeth Tullett

amazing beer

Updated (9/2019). Cool space, friendly people and good beers. That said I wish they always had the Helles on, and did more lagers. Always worth coming here. 3 yrs ago: Good range of lighter styles (extra pale ale, IPA, blonde, porter) but no imperial IPAs, stouts or anything like that. Cosy space and very friendly service.

Patrick Kim

Awesome people...great beer!!

Rob K

Great atmosphere and staff! Wish they served food!

This has absolutely become one of my favourite breweries to visit. Even though I have to make the drive from Toronto it's worth it. If you're a beer drinker you'll surely recognize some familiar names in the collective arts line up, but if you haven't been here, what you don't know are all the fantastic brews here that will never reach LCBO or beer store shelves. Not only are they focused on art which inevitably leads to an interesting space but that interest is reflected in the creativity expressed in their beer. This is a must visit for any beer lover, full stop.

Collective Arts is like that one friend who lives a completely different life than everyone else. Way on the North end, next to the steel mills and the water it’s kinda of a walk from Hollywood. It’s a big facility, looks like an ice rink, but apparently I was the old Lakeport Brewing sight. A collab between Nickel Brook and Collective Arts to create Arts & Science Ltd. Coming in the winter is completely different than the summer. It’s cold, dark, exposed, but in the summer that entire back parking area is a sort of make shift open air patio for concerts and events. Since the inside is kinda of small they have to bring in portapoties when they make use of the outside area. The inside bathroom is small and in the back, right next to some tables, so be wary. Outward facing railed high top with a few bar seats, minimal coat hooks which is weird. The menu reads like they do quite a bit of their business to go, cans, bottles, growler fills (very open policy). I love the weekly growler fill special for like $13 or less which is like a steal. Small back room is lined with the hundreds of collabs they done with bands, local artists for the labels. I’m not sure how collaborative they are with the beer, but don’t try and collect them all, it’s already too many to catch up. Prices are par for the course. I wished for some nitro’s. Staff is amazing, knowledgably, friendly, helpful, even bringing and taking your beers. Basically table service, that’s a first. We sampled the lot, bought a few pints and took a few growlers to go. They have board games, but lack seating. We didn’t get to see the warehouse or really even what the back looks like. The beers were somewhat true to style, but interpreted on the bold side. The Blonde is on the mild side as with the session beers. IPA is also sessionable. I loved the west coast pale ale, they really get what we are doing back home. The ciders have been here from the beginning and are here to stay, well liked by a local friend who has been drinking ciders for 10+ years. It’s not just about tangible art, and music, they delve into support of visual, film, anything creative. It’s really a sight to see the spread of creativity. They keep things local while expanding internationally.

Kieran Janczur

Great place to have drinks. Really enjoy the beers and vibe.

Tyler Campbell

Great beer selection and seasonal beers are always interesting. Glad someone locally is doing a Gose. Brewery is great for live shows and events.

Jeff 'JD' Graham

I've always loved Collective Arts beer, especially having a drink in their tap room before Tiger-Cat games. But it gets better! I ordered a large quantity of beer on-line to tide my family over the coronacrisis yesterday night and it arrived today! Hooray Collective Arts! Hooray beer!

Scott Schlegel

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Staff are disinterested and uknowledgeable in the beers they serve and I was once yelled at by a staff member for playing the pinball game there. PS, their beers are nothing to write home about other than they're a couple of bucks cheaper than Nickel Brook. Couldn't and wouldn't recommend Collective Farts.

Matt Viaene

Amazing beers and really broad selections from IPAs to Stouts and Porters to Sours. They do hard liquor to like Gin. Best craft brewer in Hamilton.

Taylor Partridge

I drive by Collective Arts all the time. We decided to stop in and loved it. Staff was friendly and answered all the questions we had. Many different types of beer for all. Cozy place to sit in and very clean.

Karri Tougas

Love their beer and have always seen ads for their events but never had a chance to go. Finally got to check out their Laugh on Taps night and had such a blast. Great cozy event space, awesome service, and as always, amazing beer.

David Zelewicz

Tastie brunch, great beer and really responsible distancing and mask rules in their beer garden.

Just grabbed a beer here, but bartender was very pleasant, good atmosphere, and very good beer!

(Translated) I love Collective Arts beers and branding, this may have set my expectations too high for the place. It's not as bright as you might imagine ... but I can't wait to taste their next creations. (Original) J'adore les bières et l'image de marque de Collective Arts, ceci a possiblement mis mes attentes trop haut pour la place. Ce n'est pas aussi éclatant qu'y imaginé... mais j'ai hâte de goûter leurs prochaines créations.

kk1679

Fantastic beer selection and good staff. Also, the beer garden is fun for the summer.

Dana Brennan

Stopped in for the first time with a friend one afternoon last week. The “lunch money” ale was quite good. Nice place to relax and enjoy a beer . Will definitely go again

Awesome Friday afternoon hangout to unwind

Best craft beer and selection in Hamilton

Mark Smith

Good beer.

Larry Futers

Collective Arts makes great beer - I drink it often and have always enjoyed the brewery's one-off/seasonal offerings. Unfortunately, visiting the brewery itself doesn't quite stack up, especially when compared with some other Ontario brewers. They don't offer food, they have limited seating, and the service, at least on our visit, wasn't great (the bartender didn't ask us any questions to understand our preferences, didn't make any recommendations, and couldn't answer our questions). I will certainly keep drinking Collective Arts, but will not go out of my way to return to the brewery.

Really enjoyed the outdoor beer garden on the back patio. First time visiting so not sure if it's a regular thing. The tables were well spaced out and masks were required (and provided) if you walked around. We ordered delicious tacos from the mobile food truck on site, while the drinks were served by the brewery. Afterwards we picked up beer from the store. Loved the colourful murals on the building!

Jeffery Meyer

Great staff, great beer, and great atmosphere.

Carolyn Kuhn

Good NEW selection of sours.. The smoothie was awesome... Not sure if it is even beer at this point anymore... cheers

Rod Tribble

Samples and decent variety. Love the art. Staff are fab. Good date place

Justin Majik

Got my 64oz growler filled with 'Brewski'. We sat in the art gallery to have a flight.

Kyle Edwards

Great brewery, friendly and helpful staff, awesome selection of craft beers!

Carter Traynor

Always a great visit, whether it's to the tap room or the beer garden. Excellent craft beer, frequently turning out new flavours and interesting collabs. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Annual Collective Arts Fest is one of my favourite beer festivals.

Steve C

Amazing Beer amazing people!

Prish Moran

Rate 10 out of 10... management ..staff.. volunteers and security rocked

Dar Holmes

Great spot to try some beers. Lots of variety and great at their craft. A beer for all tastes!

Steven J

Really great beer garden. The music was fantastic on Friday, the staff was super nice and there were cute dogs. Didn't have the best selection of draught drinks but we found some new drinks we enjoy! Will come again.

Marcus Callaghan

I visited Beergarden patio and would like to say that customer servise is ok but it looks like the business has never heard about “interior design” and what it’s supposed to be at brewery. If I want to visit a brewery, I expect appropriate atmosphere and experience. The furniture you have at your patio could be ok for a cheap snack bar or cafe. If it’s a brewery, I would expect something decent. Go to Germany or Austria and see how a real brewery looks like.

Amanda Charchuk

I was fortunate enough to have my art on their Good Monster DIPA can, so I might be a bit biased, but that beer tastes really good. Deep flavour, nice aroma, and a kick in the end. Aside from that, their staff is super friendly and helpful. I mentioned that I was getting married and they were kind enough to send me a gift for the occasion. I really hope they open a brewery in Vancouver.

Filip Borovsky

Awesome service. I got delivery and they were super fast and affordable! Highly recommend if you love craft beer or have someone in your life that enjoys as well. Support local!

Lorie Unruh

You order 2 beers, bartender cracks a tall can, fills a small plastic cup, and another plastic cup with the same tall can. She cracks open a second tall can and pour a few drops into the second cup just to fill it up. She puts the other 4/5ths of that second tall can behind the counter for the next person who might order that type of beer. And off you go minus $16.

Linda Dabydeen

Love Collective Arts, but this time was a bit disaapointing. Beer garden was fun, enjoyed my usual. But the lack of beer flights seemed to put a lot of people off. I also think they could have stepped up and served some sort of food/munchies. The Collective arts store was my biggest disappointment. I knew exactly what I wanted, ordered exactly what I wanted, but when I got home I noticed they gave me the wrong beer. Probably not good idea not to play a game of telephone with a customers order. Just make sure you check your order before leaving.

Richard Moore

This is one of those breweries that you can never go wrong with. They'll always have a beer for you, or a new one to try!

Scott Baldwin

It was wonderful, yours?

Patrick

Finally got to stop in and we were pleasantly surprised! Darren is a hoppy beer and I’m more of a wheat beer but we both found something amazing here! Darren got his IPA No 10 and I tried Spacial Relations! Thank you, Willie, for helping us understand a bit more about this amazing company! We will definitely come back! Highly recommended and easy to find as well!

Ejona Xega

So far all home runs as far as I'm concerned, and I don't particularly like baseball! So take that for what it's worth.

Adele Monah

Great spot to hangout with friends with awesome beer.

Jordan Grace

Great atmosphere. Awesome patio. Excellent drinks. Fabulous staff. We are regulars and love it.

Veronica Pacheco

Ransack the Universe is an all time favourite!

Cynthia Switzer

Favourite brewery around. Please, if you're reading this, drink and love their Rhyme and Reason beer. They need to know that it's loved so they keep brewing it!

D F

Looooove this place and their beer ????

Ian F W Gray

A celiacs dream!!! Love all collective arts gluten free ciders. SO GOOD!

Johnny Sequoia

Fantastic beer garden, outdoor patio seating available. Beers on tap change frequently.

Jeff B

Lots of seating. A good variety on tap and to take home. Free parking.

Laura Wise

If you want casual beers in a spot that feels like a backyard (in spite of all the concrete). Great spot to meet up for outside pints.

Mike D

Amazing company. The beer is delicious and “gets you where you’re going” particularly if you love hazy, “high-test” IPAs like me. The artwork on the cans is always dope, and the brewery itself is plain fun to visit; the coldest can of beer I’ve had in a long time went great with the fancy tater tots. And why settle for what Collective Arts beers your local reseller decides to carry when you can have the exact Collective Arts beer(s) you want shipped to your home, same day and for a very reasonable fee (at least in my area)? Amazing!

Jay Dubbeldam

Great place! I love their appreciation for art and creativity. Good beer and kind staff.

Stefi Dancetovic

I wasn't too familiar with this brewery prior to quarantine. But since quarantine, I have enjoyed very timely and friendly delivery on a regular basis. Great folks to work with, and great beer. How can you beat same day delivery for only $3.99?!? Amazing! Well done team!

Mike R

So helpful and patient as we took forever to pick our beers :) Thanks Alyssa!!!!

Rebecca F

Just got our beer delivered! Very easy ordered online and delivery to our door with social distancing. Thank you for a creative solution! Now we can have a pint with friends over facetime. Great beer thank you

Tony Morgan

Great beer . You have to stop in.

David Arnold

Collective Arts makes some very good beer. Their IPA/EPA/ISA are all outstanding and I've never actually had a bad beer from them. The staff is pretty good at helping you out quickly. Their tap room could be a bit better and if they had more options for single bottle purchases that would be ideal but overall the beer is great and that's the most important thing.

Dale Peddle

Great beer, friendly staff

Hilary White

Great beer, my favourite Ontario brewed beer

Raymond H

Yum. Thanks for making art even more enjoyable for everyone too!

Brian Gibson

Bought beer late on a Sunday. Didn't drink them but I will tonight. Staff was friendly.
