I've been corresponding with Colleen, Amy and Jules from the She Shed for almost a year now, inspired by their beautiful IG account (@thesheshed). We had recently moved to a larger, slightly neglected plot in Fall River, which needs some serious care and attention, but we wanted a more ecological approach rather than just plain old landscaping. This is what the She Shed brings - carefully considered ecological and restorative landscaping that takes into account existing flora and fauna, along with your own needs and wishes. I was so impressed by the consultation process - we've had a group zoom call looking at Google Earth maps, exchanged email ideas and photos, and Colleen has made herself readily available to talk through things. This fall, the team started with renovating some neglected beds, completely rejuvenating a large area in a day and a half! The team were just an absolute delight to have on the property, they work incredibly well together, and I appreciated the interaction with our kids and pets - it can be stressful having a big team of people with you, but this crew are just lovely - as this is a Google review, also on-time, hard-working, reliable and communicative if any change of plans happen (which they do thanks to Nova Scotian weather!). Costings are very very fair, and in fact this part of our project came in slightly under budget. We're looking forward to working with the She Shed with plans carrying over to spring, and we would not hesitate to whole-heartedly recommend. Always happy to support local businesses, especially those as innovative and brilliant as this one, with the energy and passion they bring to creating beautifully ecologically sensitive landscapes :-)
