Will never visit this place again after seeing the horrible condition that they keep the two macaws in. Small, disgusting and dirty cage, the birds feathers are matted, feces in water bowl. These beautiful and smart birds deserve better. I took better care of my hamster when I was 9. Time to give up the exotic wildlife it’s 2021 and you clearly don’t know how to look after them.

#AnnemarieK my Wedding flowers were also a screw up! I placed my order for my wedding and they also screwed those flowers up, they lost the order supposedly two days before the wedding and never bothered to phoned to verify what it was. It was simply red roses and white roses for my wedding party. My husband had picked out a red rose with a blue orchid to symbolize his Grandma that had passed away and match my red rose bouquet. My flower girl was supposed to have red roses to match mine. The guys flowers were all white my husband's boutonnière was all white my flower girls wear all white. The only thing they got right was my bouquet that was red but it kept falling apart all over photos the church I found out later the flowers were sprayed with hairspray of all things I worked at a florist you do not spray flowers with Hairspray. My bridesmaids flowers we're dropping out of the bouquet as we walk down the aisle what a thing to happen on your wedding day. My mom's corsage was not what it was supposed to be it was so heavy it was falling off her dress and it fell apart. Before we even made it for photos the Usher's boutonnieres fell apart later on I found out that they had dropped the whole box of flowers in delivering them to me. We complained to the owner and she offered us a hanging basket of flowers wow big s*** hanging basket of flowers to replace your wedding day flowers after the fact. It's five years later and I'm still upset. I had also run all over the place looking for ribbon to match our colors to wrap the bottom of the bookcase was never used and they didn't have it to give back to me she gave me five roles of some cheap crap she had sitting at the flower shop in the greenhouse.

Fairly large selection. Staff were friendly but didn't know where to find product on their grounds or direct us where to look. We phoned ahead looking for a specific plant, and we're given wrong info about availability and price which resulted in a wasted trip out of our way to the centre.

Literally no one, not one staff member was there, my friend and I walked around for a while then awkwardly left when it became clear no one was going to come out. Two McCaws living in a small very rusty cage, they looked poorly cared for, we felt badly for them.

Woah what a surprise! Brand new layout for 2021 and it looks amazing. There was a great selection of just about anything you need. The greenhouse had annuals. More perennials Than i had seen any where and beautiful tree and shrub stock! Definitely recommend meadowville!

If there was an option not to give this establishment a star I would have chosen it. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this establishment. I had my patterned concrete done by this people and each year I had nothing but problems with it. The first couple of years they came to fix it and after that they totally ignored my follow up. Each year I made several phone calls to Mark the guy in-charge and he kept on just making promises to come and fix my driveway and patio but never show up. If you are making a major investment in your landscaping or driveway, go and find another establishment. They have very poor after sales support or service. Stay away from patterned concrete too.

Very unfortunate experience with Meadowville. Ordered over $1000 of mulch, and not the first time we've ordered from them. Their driver was either extremely inexperienced or lazy, but ended up driving all over is lawn despite my wife's protest. Driver refused to back into our side Lane, which you have to do if you don't want to manage grass, and is very easy to do. Driver Closed his car door on her and ignored her. When we called the owner we got the same poor treatment, hung up on my wife. We were told by ownership that the damage was somehow our fault, despite all previous deliveries using our side entrance being completed perfectly. Only professional people there were the receptionist and the second more experienced driver who ended up delivering the rest of our mulch, despite the owner saying we wouldn't be getting our seconds load (which was paid for in full ahead of delivery) he managed to back in no problem! Now we get to spend the rest of the summer seeding and leveling Meadowilles damage. Look at the pictures and ask yourself why someone wouldn't just back in and dump the load?

Unorganized and terrible customer service... Called to have dirt delivered. Was supposed to come on Friday, Nothing shows up. I call back and they tell me oh it's because it's raining, will be delivered Saturday. come Sunday, I call back. Oh we don't deliver weekends, someone missed your paper and we will deliver Monday.... Meanwhile they had already charged for the delivery. Asked for a refund, hopefully they don't mess that up

Horrible experience, these people are all about the cash grab. Ive worked for nurseries and I know how to care for plants. My wife bought $670+ worth of fruit trees and plants and the Trees had a fungal disease on just some of the graftings, The plants were grapes, raspberries and blueberries. Blueberries were amazing, the raspberries had a rust like growth on the back of the leaves and spider mites they are all leafless now. Will see if they come back next season. The owner was contacted immediately as we had hopes that there may be a chemical solution but she didnt reply to our request. My wife returned for a refund and were told that only an in store credit could be issued, fair enough but all the other trees showed the same fungus so we didnt take anything. Now a few months later the owner contacted us to demand money from us, she claims that we did get a refund on our debit card and that we took replacement trees. So we now owe her $670. We did not get a refund just a credit which has yet to be honoured and 80% of our purchases are dead. She wants us to prove we didnt get the money, but cant show us her business records that show the refund. Not a trustworthy company to deal with, nothing about this seems like they care about long term business.

We recently used Meadowville Landscaping to put interlocking stone on our front walkway and steps. They were very helpful in suggesting the right colours and patterns, the quote was great, and they were referred to us so we selected them for the job. They were very professional, and had the job done in a little over a day from start to finish. We are very happy with the work and would definitely work with them again and refer them to anyone.

I had an excellent experience at this garden centre recently. They have a great variety of plants, abundant hanging baskets, shrubs and trees. I found the plants to be very healthy and lush. Within 15 minutes of browsing a male employee offered his expertise and was very helpful. I was pleasantly surprised by the large selection available so early in the season. I'll be back again once the threat of cool nights has passed.

In the spring of 2016 the landscaping crew from Meadowville Garden Centre started working on our property. We had just completed building a house and there was nothing but piles of dirt. With the creative energies and hard work from this talented group of men our home was changed from nice to fabulous. We loved the transformation and everyone in the neighbors kept stopping by to sing their praise. It was a great experience working with such a nice bunch of guys who were professional, considerate and very hard working. I would give this experience my top rating and would recommend Meadowville Garden Centre to anyone who wants a professional job done.

Paid over $3000 for patio stones to be laid a few years ago. They did not put a proper base and the stones all heave and have to be re-leveled every year. Very poor work and customer service is non existent once the money is paid.

I ordered triple mix soil. When I opened the 1 cubic yd. bag, I found that it was nothing but top soil, and of bad quality. It was lumped, weeds were sprouting, grey and heavy. After 3 calls, the owner came to look at it, at a time when I had said I was not at home. After another call, he maintains that it is 65% peatmoss, an absolute untruty. And he was nasty on top. Very impressive front yard/garden work. I thought I'd be shopping here and working for a few weekends, but they had a landscaping crew who we hired. They came out with the heavy equipment. Professional team, well organized - they made a couple of hours of work out of what would have taken me a month, and had enough time for me to hire them for a couple of extras.

BUYER BEWARE! Advertised pricing and promos are automatically given. We just purchased bulk mulch, their current ad mail says free delivery on all purchases due to COVID-19. Somehow I still got charged more than the listed regular delivery price. Also wouldnt deliver a tree with it or even tell me if they had the species I wanted in stock. Just told me I had to come in and look myself.

Visited this garden centre on Tuesday and was disappointed that I had to go through mud and puddles of water to get to the perennials. Need rain boots to visit. ! I understand that plants need watering but this was a mess. Not enough mulch for walking on .

Great garden place! They have tons of variety, we found grasses and fills we hadn't found elsewhere. They also had very healthy plants - there were none that we could see that were yellowed, dry and dying, or otherwise not suitable quality. We stopped in after trying Belgian nursery that was pretty much cleaned out and not really that welcoming. Which to be fair it is a pandemic and hordes had descended on them so I wouldn't have wanted more people coming either! These guys were great though!

Dont know if the care for their birds has improved since I've been there but seeing those birds in their cages is so incredibly sad. I wont be supporting them again. Birds, especially ones that smart, need more enrichment and a MUCH larger cage. Please give up your birds to a sanctuary who can take better care of them!!!!!

Word to the not so wise do you homework and buy somewhere else. Payed for 4 cubic yards of triple mix and got it delivered. When I get home they only delivered 3 yards . When I call them all I get is the run around. "The manager isn't in right now and will call you back in 2 hours". I call back 20 minutes later and ask for the manager, they get the manager I tell her that I only got 3 cubic yards and she takes my number down and says "I will let the owner know what happened". What kind of manager doesn't deal with inaccurate deliveries, or customer complaints? Low and behold no call back from anyone. They straight up rip you off and lie to you. All the bad reviews are all correct, this place is nothing but a bunch of scammers and will do whatever they can to rip you off. Only good thing about this place was the soil was actually pretty good. Lesson learned, you lost a lot of customers. I had almost all my neighbors ask where I got the soil from, guess what they won't be calling this place that's for sure

We used Meadowville for our wedding flowers. I booked appointments and Francine didn't show up for 2 of them. I drove 40+ mins to get there with my infant and she doesn't show up. I was very specific with what I was looking for and Fran recorded everything at one of the appointments she bothered to showed up to. Fast forward to our wedding day.....items were missing and the flowers were the total opposite of what I wanted. I called Fran to tell her I was unhappy and I wanted her to come back and fix it. She made her Mommy (Joanne the owner) call me back. Joanne actually wanted to charge me more money and asked me why I was being so difficult. Ummmm you really say that to bride on her wedding day?? I will give credit where credit is due.....the flowers were beautiful, however, not what I had envisioned or what my colour scheme was. Brides, save yourself the hassle and find another florist. I am surprised these people are still in business they are so unprofessional.

Knapps and Belgian do Not even come CLOSE to meadowville when it comes to staff knowing how to properly explain how to care for literally every plant available. Hi Just had a stone patio put in my backyard by Meadowville. Excellent results! I appreciated that the workers were so diligent in spite of the extreme heat conditions. Had a small problem arise with the design and they were so incredible in working out /brainstorming a solution with us . Definitely would recommend Meadowville to anyone considering landscape work.

Very disorganized when they fist open. I waited 40 minutes to check out, due to the cash registers not being ready. Then I waited 15 more minutes for someone to get six bags of sand. No one showed so I loaded my sand and left.

Stopped by to support local but I promptly put everything back after i saw the two emaciated macaws. They look in horrible condition with unkempt feathers. There was feces everywhere, looks like for weeks judging by how thick the piles were. Feces in the water bowl, feces in the food bowl. Horrible seed only diet. This is animal abuse, please take better care of them or relinquish them. Prices were higher than other nurseries anyways. I'm sticking with Belgian nursery.

I had Patterned Concrete install a driveway in 2007. Credit where credit is due-the concrete has lasted well and the driveway was sculpted, in spite of a very level surface, to drain away from the house. However, the colour was put on at the last stage of the process in drizzly cool mid-October weather. EVERY spring, I have spalding freckles where the seal has peeled off, taking colour with it. Meadowville/Patterned Concrete would not take responsibility for this. For six years, the colour would be repaired and resealed in June as I used up a $1500 warranty. After that, Meadowville wanted about $1500 per year to do the surface repair. See the pictures below. The driveway once repaired, looks great. But $1500 EVERY year? Disappointed. I have been told by several concrete experts that this annual problem was due to a poor choice of installation conditions on Meadowville/Patterned Concrete's part.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I paid for 1 yard bag of screened topsoil the morning of Friday July 28, as I was told it would be delivered to my home on the morning of Saturday July 29. I received nothing by end of day Sunday July 30. As result, I purchased topsoil from a competitor who actually followed through, as the project was time sensitive. Meadowville didn't reply to voicemail & email. They missed their delivery date (in fact, never delivered it at all), and has neither offered a refund (over $100) nor "store credit". At this point, only a refund would be acceptable.

I was promised a load of screening Monday and kept calling and was told different stories... truck is on the way... next call 2hrs. later.... can't get hold of truck driver..... call at 5pm. was told it was on the way when I threatened to cancel my order. The truck driver told me that he was on his way home and was told to come back to Meadowvale to deliver to me. He was very professional unlike the folks I spoke with at Meadowvale. I asked to have the owners call and discuss this with me .... well so far no call from them. I had two workers here for the afternoon. I had to send them home at 4pm. and pay them for the afternoon. Disgusting customer service.

Staff was nice and polite. However, I was looking for cherry tomatoes, the staff showed me the plants they said were cherry tomatoes. I then over heard the staff tell another person that they were cherry tomatoes. The fruit is starting to grow now... They are not cherry tomatoes. Now I have way too many regular tomatos...

I asked if Meadowville did landscaping I was referred to Meadowville Landscaping at the corner of Eramosa and Speedvale and promptly made an appointment and immediatley visited. I went in. Three people sitting behind desks. Not one of them acknowledged me. Not one of them looked at me. Not one of them spoke to me. After a minute I left. I emailed someone rejoicing in the name 'Joanne', to complain explaining in detail that I had made a appointment, had been treated shabbily - basically, what had happened. She was wilfully ignorant of the facts, rude, officious, argumentative and blamed me for not making an appointment !!! After that fine dispaly of ignorance and stupidity I would neither use Meadowville Landscaping, recommend Meadowville Landscaping and I sure as hell woulddn't trust Meadowville Landscaping with landscaping my garden. On a scale of 1 - 10. Zero. Unfortunately the Google star rating doesn't go low enough for this organization.

Wonderful selection. Pleasing environment. Found what I was looking for. A good sized garden centre for the location. Definitely will be back!

I have been to this garden centre over the years I first went in ten years ago and received assistance with a Christmas flower drive fundraiser and Joanne was great, and wow has it come a long way. The customer service has improved and the selection is fantastic. My experience has been great there is always someone on hand for advice and no pressure if you are just looking. Go in tie a look you would be surprise what you will find.

Flowers and shrubs... sure they might one day take over the earth, but in the meantime if you're going to adorn your domicile in botanical beauty you might as well do so with only the finest. And if that isn't possible as perhaps your domicile is like mine completely shaded from the all mighty sun, then you look at the options that Meadowville had available and you'll be pleasantly surprised with all the grass, concrete and dirt alternatives that they can provide!
