We bought a ton of sand from them last year to fill our children's massive sandbox in our backyard. We had them deliver it, they came out the same day and the prices were fair, considering they brought it out KW for us. We had a great experience with this, but when the guy came out to deliver, he noticed our driveway needed to be replaced, he took measurements when he was here and mailed us a quote a week later. As we had been shopping around for quotes to fix our driveway we were floored when receiving theirs. It was literally 3 times highest quote we received. In short, we will definitely purchase sand and soil from them again but I would not recommend getting your driveway done by them.

Real Washed 3/4". No hidden issues, just great stone. See below for technical details. I found this place when I needed only ~4-8 yards of washed #57 stone. My project site has limited access so I needed to avoid a Triaxle delivery. I have found locating good quality stone for permeable applications frustrating in the past so I thought I'd post a review of one of the positive experiences. Staff and Ordering Landscapers choice has products that the detail oriented builder will appreciate. They also have knowledgeable, patient and friendly staff that provided very quick and professional service. Dispatch and sales were happy to give me all the information I wanted and to answer my questions, even the annoying ones that 95% of people never ask.The delivery staff was great. Easy to work with, quick but safety oriented, solid knowledge base and friendly. Sometimes aggregate deliveries can feel like tense negotiations between waring factions. It was nice to see the opposite happens too. I was pleasantly surprised with both transactions. Product Review I have ordered a number of small loads of #57 stone (3/4" "clear") and have encountered a number of issues in quality over time. All have been approximately $45 a yard with quality varying wildly. The only excellent quality stone ready to lay so far has been from this supply. When looking for a #57 stone for drainage you ideally want something angular with minimal rounds, consistent and correct size, proper shape and "all" fines removed by washing. The shape is critical. The stone MUST be crushed and triangular. If it is not it will not compact and will not be suitable for construction. It MUST be clean as excessive fines will clog drainage outlets or woven fabrics. I am happy to say that what I received was 3/4" angular and cubical dimensions. Most of the pieces are the same size and shape. Some small stones but minimal rounds. -4/5 In contrast stone will often be a bit too big. Closer to 1" stone. It will often have too many long and thin pieces or way too many rounds indicating it was "cut" with decorative 3/4" river rock. Composition of product was good. There was a mix of hard stone including granite pieces that resist cracking under compaction. 5/5 In contrast from other depots I have in past received stone "cut" with too much softer stone with concrete waste or shale bits. The stone delivered was actually put through a washer and had fines removed. All stone stored and moved creates fines so nothing is perfectly clean. If stone has been washed you will be able to see a myriad of colour. I was pleased to see orange, green, red and quartz shining back at me. There were truck and staff fines but this was a WASHED product. -5/5 In contrast I have almost always received product advertised as "clean" or "clear" and occasionally as "washed" that was very dirty. This had to be washed on site and when cleaned the colours of the stones would then shine through. If 3/4" stone arrives and is dirty enough that you can't see which stones are the red granite pieces, it's probably best to avoid using for any clean drainage critical projects such as permeable paver systems. Disclaimer This depot to my knowledge does not quarry product, they must source it. This requires skill to provide a consistent quality product at a stable price. While the product I received was excellent, the test of time is where the gold is found. Quality of future product may not be the same as I experienced at the time of this review. The quarries have to deliver good product and the depot must be able to buy it and make it profitable and pass quality control over the long term.

I went there three times. The first time I had fantastic experiences with the male staff who was working at the front. I was there to pick up a little bit of stone these first two times and inquire about having them put in a large 20 x20 raised stone patio with a water feature adjacent. I was given the card for Don S. who is the president and had intended to call him. However, when I got home with the bag of white stones, I realized that they looked terrible with my yellow fountain, so I went directly back to exchange this one UNOPENED and UNDAMAGED bag for two bags of river rock. There was a woman working this time and she said that they do not take returns or exchanges. So Landscaper's Choice Depot lost the opportunity to do any business with me. all of my future business over a ten dollar purchase. I won't be dealing with them again even though they are only four blocks from me. A little bit of flexibility goes a long way for me and clearly this company does not have this. I have attached a photo of what I am going to be doing next year so that the company can evaluate for themselves if they are happy about the policy to not accept trivial returns.

Very friendly staff, which is much appreciated. I ordered a yard of top soil for my lawn. When I initially enquired about their products, I specifically asked if the top dress soil had been sifted, and was told it had. When it came, it was filled with rocks and fresh organic matter. It looked like it had been pulled from a construction site and transported to my driveway. Picking the largest rocks out (larger than my fist), added a considerable amount of time to an already time consuming project. I wouldn't have ordered this if I had known this what was it was. What frustrates me is that I tried to preempt this by asking the right questions, but to no avail. I hope they address this for others. Not sure I'll order from them again.
