Great prices on specials. Quantity of inventory lacking most days I've been there. I'll try twice then take ad to Walmart to price match. No frills won't price match with them anymore so I usually go to Walmart with their flyer just for spite. You don't advertise you price match then add exclusions who and whom you do and don't match. You either do or you don't. Giant tiger sets standard for lower prices!

Prices on groceries is fantastic for a budget. Always great sales, and a lot of their meats have great every day prices (ground meat, sandwich meat) I shop for a lot of clothes there. Their prices are usually a little cheaper or comparable to Walmart. But they have a lot of cuter styles in tights!

Hard to believe this gets rated highly. I can't speak about customer service, and cleanliness seemed okay, it was just a terrible store to visit. Never been to Giant Tiger before but saw they had sales that make it to a deal site a frequent, so I figured I'd check them out. Seemed like a decent place to pick up odds and ends but I was wrong. Nothing positive made an impact on me that day. Selection was extremely mediocre and prices weren't really competing with others. I 'courtesy walked' the aisles, placed my empty cart back and left. Comparably, If I was to give Walmart 3-stars, this store would receive a lower rating.

Initially, I wasn't a fan but I was soon won over by their awesome deals. Everyone wants nice things but when you're on a tight budget it's definitely more difficult. Giant tiger has been a source of some seriously nice finds though and at great prices. Granted, they are a discount store and not all of their items are super high quality but I'm always pleasantly surprised when I go there. I always manage to find a great quality and unexpected find at a great price. And at Xmas time I was on the hunt for some last minute gift bags and batteries which I would usually go to dollarama for but their shelves were bare. And then just across the street on a whim I decided to try giant tiger and they ended up having all the last minute things I needed and some even at better prices than the dollar store. They saved me and impressed me during that unplanned visit. I now have to limit my visits because I always find so many things I want to buy everytime I'm there.

Love Giant Tiger, lots of great deals, cheaper than Walmart and lots of nice clothing! But having said that, the Sydney store is WAY too small for the size of the area and population it serves! It doesn't make sense that Port Hawkesbury and Truro have bigger Giant Tiger stores than we do with a smaller population. That is why the Sydney store ALWAYS runs out of items on sale in their flyers every week, they don't have the room for more stock. I don't understand why they don't expand the store, the building that it is located in is empty on the left hand side. Giant Tiger could expand into that area. And then they could carry more items like the Port Hawkesbury and Truro stores do. Or else have another Giant Tiger store in Glace Bay or North Sydney.

Morning of flyers ... have excellent sales but empty shelves ... went in for 4 things from the flyer .. got 1 and not even enough to liMIT per person. . One gentleman drove 40 minutes and didn't get what he came for and salesperson didn't care or offer any raincheck ... pointless to shop the flyers with these operations

One of my best places to shop. There's always something you just have to have. Good prices is a draw for me. The store carries pretty nice plus size clothing. All contemporary and I find very difficult to leave without picking up a little something for me. The store is clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. Think I'll go for a bit; you just never know!
