The waves are a must at this beach. Probably the best wave action all summer. Love that you don't have to go out to far to get a really good swim. The temperature is the best in late August. The only thing that I would do to improve the experience would be to have change rooms with a good rinse off shower

It's a nice big beach with little to no litter. There's usually a good group of people, no jerks ruining everybody else's fun. There's plenty of room spread out too since it's mostly sand and not much seaweed and rocks.

Beautiful beach, had a great time. Soft sand, very gradual for the water to get deep. You need to be careful not to get stuck in the sand (I did). Had wonderful locals to help me get on my way.

Great Devonian beach with a bird sanctuary I have been going here for over 50 years. Only complaint. Could someone turn up the water heater!

Minus one star for the potholed track from the main road and only being able to park at the side of the track (although some people ignore the signs and drive onto the beach). Gorgeous beach, mostly clean, a bit of trash where people park and can't be bothered to take the trash with them sadly. Dogs must be kept on a leash due to the bird sanctuary right beside the beach. Rather lovely scenery, especially on a sunny winter day when there's no-one else around! I'd love to see the track maintained and it made more clear where to park and where not to park. Trash cans would be great for those who don't plan ahead!

Nice sandy spot for swimming. Great for families.

Usually very clean, but there are no garbage cans so people do need to keep after themselves. Dogs are allowed, though meant to be kept on leash. No life guards. Occasionally half the beach gets swamped with dried seaweed that washes in. Usually no jellyfish.

Real pretty. Pretty isolated when we were there but then again it was November. Saw some ducks which were pretty cool. It's supposed to be a stopover for some migrating stuff.
