Dominion's online shopping started yesterday and I ordered today. What a great experience with such helpful staff. Glynnis, my personal shopper, and I are now best friends as she was in contact with me to make sure my order was perfect, Brandon was so helpful as we màde sure everything was paid correctly, and as I unpacked my groceries from the ECO friendly tote bags I found a delightful thank you note from Courtney. As if this wasn't nice enough there were little freebies, a banana, a bottle of water, and a package of popcorn. Not only are they offering a much needed service they are making sure customer satisfaction is their number one goal. Thank you so much!

Pretty sad supermarket. Especially for a flagship Loblaws market. Deli is great. Meat and produce are not so slick. Generally cluttered with palletts, orphaned carts, and slow people at slow checkout lanes. Usually fewer lanes open than necessary!

This is a great grocery store, well organized and clean. As well, it is easy to navigate and to find everything. The only thing they seem to lack is enough stock for sales items. If you aren't there at the crack of dawn the day the sale starts, chances are they will be out of stock. This even seems to be the case when they limit the amount customers can purchase. Other then that, they tend to have a good overall selection.

Store has great selection and is clean. Line ups can long at times. On several occasions I've purchased items listed on sale but paid full price at the checkout. Most recently, I brought it to the tellers attention on 2 items that were displayed on sale but were full price at the register, I was told that I could take my issue to customer service, rather than verify the issue at the point of sale. After waiting in a lineup to get served, the last thing a customer wants is to be told to go to another line up. Buyer be aware, pay close attention at the register to the scanned price.

Dominion is well organized store with a large selection of grocery items. The deli and produce sections are well stocked as is the bakery. The meats were satisfactory but not a large variety of cuts. There is also a kitchen wares section and a pharmacy.

Standard grocery store, but does have some products that aren't available at the nearby Sobeys or Walmart. Also holds the only cannabis shop in the GFW area so expect line-ups. Lines are usually fairly quick, having the option of self-checkout is really nice. Store is fairly clean, employees are helpful.

Constantly out of produce, and meats. They always use the excuse “ waiting on the truck because the boat was delayed”. Bread never makes it to its best before date, mold 5-6 days before. Short staffed so it’s always long line ups. I’ve shopped at other dominion stores in St. Johns and have never had the issues that this store has. Better off going to co-op.

Negative. Since I moved to Gander, my wife and I felt we could depend on Dominion having the food products we needed for our restricted diets. Over five years we've see many of the products we need removed from the shelves of the Natural Foods section. Almond Dream Enriched Vanilla Almond Drink, Potato-Leek Soup, Glutino Gluten Free Crackers, El Peto Gluten Free-Corn Free Baking Powder, Almond Dream Ice Cream, Thirsty Buddha Pulp Free Coconut Water in cans, Blue Monkey coconut Water. Since we don't eat beef or pork, we found that Dominion once carried Lillydale Turkey sausage but now I'm told that it's no longer in the "plan-o-gram." I'd like to know who makes up this "plan-o-gram" so I could tell them what they need. I go to Dominion every day to see if a truck has come in with a product I'm looking for. I have waited two weeks for Earth's Own Vanilla Almond Milk and one time I waited three weeks for large Billy Bee honey because we don't eat refined sugar. There are many products that never seem to leave the shelves...they're slow moving and yet they remain. When I see a product I need I'll often buy it all because I know I may not see it for a long time, if ever. One would think that if there's a demand for a product, the store would keep it in stock. Apparently not. As well, there are products such as lettuce and avocados that need to be refrigerated yet they are not. Not long ago I passed a bin of avocados that were rotting. What does a person do when they spend money on produce that they get home and find that it's rotten, especially if they live fifty or more kilometers away? They'll probably toss it out yet Dominion has their money. We deserve better.

Dominion by the Quidi Vidi lake is where I usually shop even thought I live 20 kms away.I know where every thing is in the store. I have shopped there since the first day it opened. This Dominion store gives the chain a bad name. I have seen the produce staff throw bananas onto the shelf. Prices for products are often not posted. The washroom is a disgrace. Today, the cash register where I checked out was covered in sugar. The cashier said it was like that when she came to work. Why didn't she clean it up before taking customers? I later realized that she had charged me for 3 cucumbers when I had only bought 2 but I was already 2 hours away. This store needs a real clean up - perhaps new management.

This is by far the best, and arguably the only, grocery store in Gander. They need to work harder at re-stocking their shelves, but that's primarily an issue of volumn. As for the people complaining about lanes, try reading the sign. It says SATURDAY & SUNDAY 12PM-5PM. I had one person complain to me that all the lanes weren't open. It was 10:30 am.

This is a modern, big box supermarket. Bright, clean and organized we had no trouble finding what we came for. Growing up I only remember Dominion stores to be small and dim. This store was nothing like that. Fresh produce, giant frozen section and great prices.

Can almost never find all the items I'm looking for, no joke! "Special" tags all over the store, in front of empty shelves!!!! Every shopping experience ends in total frustration!!!!!. Big posters in store and parking lot advertising "all lanes open " Totally false advertising as I've been there several times in the past few weeks and all lanes are NOT open. When you can actually find an employee to ask a question, you get a snotty attitude....... not our fault. Sobeys..... please come to Gander and give us some actual service!
