Well kept garden centre with knowledgeable friendly staff. Found some very unique minature mouse ear hostas in three different variations. Going to start a ferry garden under my silver birch tree.

Always very friendly, the staff take their time to give you advice but also give you your space and don't press on if you want to look around. Excellent results in our garden thanks to their products (trees, plants, and accessories) and their advice.

We have purchased a number of products from Potter's over the last few years; trees, shrubs, roses. All have been very healthy plants and have done well. They do an excellent job

I absolutely LOVE this nursery. This was my first time going, but they were extremely helpful both before and during my visit. Fairly certain it's a family owned/run business as well, which I always prefer supporting over "big box stores". Thanks so much guys. You were all awesome.

Ron J Roy

Excellent quality, good prices, awesome service!

Had full yard done. Trees not thriving. Contacted contractor with pics. Promromised new replacement. Many calls and visits...always same reply....we will come out for a look. No visit, no satisfaction n. Finally pulled tree out of ground and brought it to the nursery. Nothing we can can do. Would not recommend this business.

I recently purchased an Autumn Blaze through Potter’s, and the tree is beautiful! They have great pricing, knowledgeable staff and that friendly “ma n’ pa” shop atmosphere. Check out Potter’s before you go to a big box store garden centre. Worth checking out!

Stephen Arnold

Exceptional range of trees, bushes and plants.

Potter's won't accept an Indigenous Status Card for purchases, which is a treaty right! So much for reconciliation at this place. The only thing they seem to understand is their bottomline - therefore Indigenous peoples and allies need to boycott them.

I have previously had good experiences at Potters, until today. Last summer, I was told that their used pots at the back are free to take. I went a couple times last summer to get pots and would always buy other supplies at the same time. Even though their soil is more expensive than at Canadian tire or Home Depot, I always bought from them because I appreciated that they offered free pots and I prefer to support local business. Today, I went to get a few pots and some potting soil. I checked with an employee (as I always have) before heading to the back to grab the pots. I put them in my car before heading inside to get soil. When I went to pay, a man (who I believe is the owner) told the cashier to charge me for three pots. The way he said it made it sound like I was trying to steal them. I told him that I was not aware that they now charge for pots and that I did check with an employee before getting them, I felt like I had to defend myself. His response was rude and not understanding at all. It was just a bizarre interaction that left me feeling embarrassed. I most definitely was not trying to sneak the pots in my car without telling anyone. The situation could have been much different if he had told me directly “oh by the way, we now charge for pots” or something to that effect when I walked past him to put them in my car. To be clear, I am not upset that they charge for the pots, but rather with the way I was treated. Next time I need soil or other supplies, I will take my business elsewhere.

Purchased cedar tree for front yard , it died , was replaced and it died. Paid $400.00 for 2 dead trees . Thanks Potters.

Concerned that when we dropped by yesterday, May 4th, there were no visible measures for Covid 19 prevention. There were three people closely congregated in the entrance so I just stood there waiting for an opening, no markings for physical distancing, no indication of curbside only pick-up. I thought garden centres were only allowed curbside pick-up. I did not feel safe.

Staff not very friendly, don't stand behind their products. I purchased a tree for quite a few hundred dollars and paid for them to plant it. It was dead the next spring. They told me the 'guarantee' didn't cover that. I'm still wondering what it did cover.

Michael Currie
