Lady tried to ring it in was having difficulty so went to the manager. Came back advised me that she could not sell the floor model and would have to order in. Absolutely do not recommend shopping here, I went in to purchase a bunch of furniture in the beginning of December and I'm still dealing with it, it's now February. It's been a headache ever since I walked in. All they do at the brick is lie about every single thing and are not able to do what the customer wants. I recommend any other furniture store but would ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMEND THE BRICK IN FORT ST JOHN. They don't even deserve one star.

Very very bad quality and horrible service. Sofas came broken, lady at the desk said I have to bring them to the store and wait another few weeks for them to come,also she said brick doesn't grantee anything and its MY product, now I have to drive around with couches and wait. No discount nothing! apparently its my fault that MY product arrived damaged and now I'm spending more time and money dealing with it. I have no time nor am I able to haul heavy sofas around. Very disappointed with the brick experience!

Horrible, do not purchase anything from here. The worst customer service and the worst run around for an exchange. They took our sound bar, which is supposed to be a direct store exchange and now are saying is will be weeks for an assessment. This is weeks after I was told a new one was on the way. We have talked to Trans global who you del with for the brick warrenty and they put on our file to just exchange it as that is the policy for all JBL products. They say they cannot see the notes, yet Trans global said they responded over a week ago so they obviously see it. What a run around, they have our sound bar and did not order a new one like I was told when I dropped it off. Everytime we talk to someone it is a different answer. Never ever am I going to purchase from here again, trying to be patient and nice is not going anywhere, Trans Global is in disbelief that the store does not exchange it like all the other brick stores and do not understand why we would even be having these issues. So save yourself in the long run and avoid this store!

Purchased a new stove on Black Friday. Got a good deal on it. Was told it would be in on the following Saturday the 7th of December. I was assured of this multiple times. I phoned the store today, the 6th and was told it will not be here until Tuesday the 10th. For the price I paid, this is unacceptable. They said they would phone back in 5 min. 1/2 hour and waiting.

They sold me a used mattress and box spring with delivery delayed by two weeks. Mattress arrived in plastic cover with tags underneath removed and box spring appeared compressed to suggest it was used as well. Return policy states no return without tags. They refused to process return on products.

No one answers the phone anymore; cannot get through on pick up line EVER. I actually had such a run around the last time I made an online purchase that needed cancellation that I refuse to shop there in the future. I was disappointed today to learn that my brother ordered his new fridge and it is awaiting pick up there, as I knew it would be a nightmare to deal with finishing this transaction- I just hope there is no shipping damage- I have heard from numerous locals that current Management is not handling these concerns with any empathy or efficiency.

I am very angry with The brick in Fort St John, and would warn anyone from going to spend you hard earned money there. Bought a couch not even 2 months ago, first day i get it and sit on it, the zipper on back cushion broke, 2 days after that sat on other side of couch ( large sectional, with pull out, and storage compartment, paid about $2800 for it, with extended warranty which cost me $500) Then the storage door wont stay open and cushion above it is starting to sag. Well at this point i had enough so i called them explaining all the issues i had, so they said they would call me back, which over the next few weeks i keep getting a call from the brick in fsj where i had to explain the issues over n over each time!! well after the 4th time I was really annoyed and asking if they were going to come take a look or come fix it instead of all the repetitive phone calls & questions. Then they explain that somebody would have to come take a picture which they did then i had to wait another week when then finally the manager called and said she had some options of either ordering another coax the same or to get an in-store credit and that they had a special we could come down and take a look at what they had. So I come down there with my kids and my family to go take a look Siena coach that we might have light instead of this one because I was scared to reorder the same coach and have the same problem seeing the point the person who came to take a look at the couch and take the pictures told us that this is not the first time that day they had to go take a look at the exact couch (aka. couch design is faulty not just ours) after looking around finding a couch we found one but it was a bit cheaper so we figured that we would be able to at least get something else in that store carpet or whatever to make up for the rest of our money we paid originally for a couch but not she says that was not the case!!!! She told us if we go with another couch we lose our $500 extended warranty we paid for, it cannot be transferred and then she tells us that whatever amount of money we use, can only go on a couch and that we would lose the rest of our money that we worked for and paid for on our other couch which makes no sense at all. Long story short, these people do not care about there customer, only your money and once the sold you on something they dont care about the rest. This is not over, i will be contacting head office and see if something else can be done. I WILL NEVER shop at the brick again, especially in Fort St John!! What a waste of time and money ???????????????????? Makes no sense at all!!!

We went to pay off our couch and when we first walked in they were happy to help, but when we just needed to pay off our credit and not purchase something the customer service went out the window. Went in to purchase 2 TV wall mounts. I asked 'where they were located in the store' and was referred to an employee to see what was on the computer. After a few minutes I asked where they were again and more or less had to walk away from the employee to go have a look. After finding 2 that I could use, I had to sign 2-3 things, get manager approval and sign one more thing before I could leave. I understand the longer someone is in the store the higher chances of them purchasing more, but it would be nice to be able to walk in and out, having what you need, in less than 5 minutes. No need to add all these steps and procedures to purchase something off the shelf.

Last week, I bought a sofa table for $149.99 at the Brick in Fort St. John. It took a week to come in. They told me to come in on Saturday morning to pick it up and when I did they told me they would call me when it was ready as it had not been unloaded yet. I got it on Sunday instead. Though the piece did say that some assembly was required, I was overwhelmed at the amount of assembly required. I wasn't strong enough to do it myself and had no one to assist me. It was a two person job. The piece was just cheap particle board. Some pieces were missing and others damaged. I took it back. The clerk asked if I wanted a refund. I asked if I might have the floor model rather than a refund. I explained that I have a back condition that was exacerbated in the unpacking and attempted assembly of the piece. It took me four hours to assemble as much as I did and what I did build was not in anyway sturdy or stable. The clerk said it was likely that I could have the floor model. He said that he would ask his manager on Tuesday. I was denied this today. I was also denied a refund. To have someone assemble it for me would cost $125, which I refused. I did order another one because I felt I had no other option but to accept another in place of the damaged one; however, I told the manager that I would never buy anything in that store ever again. I said I would spread the word in town that no one should do business with the Brick. He is a really young individual and looks less than thrilled with his job, and very flippantly responded repeatedly, "Okay. Okay. Okay." No, it is not okay. This is not the way to do business. Terrible customer service. Terrible merchandise. Terrible return policy. Skip the Brick.

When they ordered the wrong couch for us (which would be multiple months to fix), we took the wrong couch because we needed a couch, which BROKE one month after. Everything went flawlessly, and I cannot express my appreciation enough for all the help Rajat at The Brick provided. I ordered items over the phone, put down a deposit to hold the sale pricing. When the price for my sofa dropped two days later, Rajat adjusted my order, no problem. I received an amazing price for a floor model mattress set, and when it was going to take a month for my bed to arrive, Rajat arranged for a different one at the same price. I was kept up to date via calls/texts on everything before I arrived. The 3rd party delivery guys were prompt, efficient and professional. I'm very happy with how everything fits and looks in my new "home away from home".

Wasted 10 min of my time with those things. The interior of the store is nicely laid out however the outside needs some work. Very uninviting store as you pull up. No painted lines in the parking lot, weeds growing all along the building, loading ramp in rough shape. Weeds along the curb. Poor grounds maintenance in general.

Then a couple days ago one of the speakers stopped working so my husband called the brick to see what they could do since we had warranty and they guy on they phone told my husband that they can’t do anything for him. The wrong information about the pickup time is written on the FSJ store website. This made me stay outside the store in this freezing weather for one hour waiting for the store to open in order to pick up my mattress. When I conveyed this message to the store manager, he was really very rude and aggressive with me, did not apologize for this. On the contrary, was very harsh while speaking. I felt very threatened by his tone of voice as if I am in the wrong place. He mentioned it is not his mistake and he sent an email to the management about that. He was not even looking at me while talking, he was rather typing on his computer. Very bad service and I regretted buying this mattress from the brick.

This is a tough one. On the one hand, got a wedding gift of a dining table and chairs, which is really nice. We bought a tv stand with drawers in it that we're attempting to piece together. One of the drawers looks to have the back plate cut a tad too short, so that the bottom of the drawer isn't fitting. I'm hoping to shim a bit, maybe that will fix the problem?

Went to look at buying a couch (we weren’t planning to buy at the time) ended up buying a unit and 2 TVs. It took longer to get the paper work organized than it takes to buy a new car. Setting up delivery wasn’t bad… the actual delivery was a nightmare… not only do they only deliver on Tuesdays or Saturdays they don’t give a set time for you to be there. People work during the day and can’t sit around waiting for someone to possibly show up. The delivery people didn’t bother to buzz when they called my boyfriend he told them I was on my way as I only work about 5 blocks away. When I arrived they were just pulling away down the street. I guess waiting wasn’t an option when I called the brick to see if they were able to come back I was told they would call me back and hung up (they didn’t call back) I called them again and they were very rude. I won’t be doing business there again.

Starting Line

We bought a queen-size bed and box spring. After just one week, with the plastic coverings still on, the Brick would not allow us to return it for a refund. We had to take a store credit, which I so far refused. I had repeatedly called them for over a week. I was repeatedly told that a manager would contact me, and none ever did. I finally got through about 10 days later, and after being told there would be no refund, I called DESJARDINS (21.9 % interest!). The lady from DesJardins (they financed the sale) was able to get another possible “solution” which was a $90 delivery charge (that’s fair) plus a 20% restocking charge (that’s not fair). The Brick’s website is intentionally misleading. There’s a 7-day return policy for some things. They want you to try out their beds for 21 days. There’s also a 90-day policy and a 180-day policy. The misleading website coupled with the manager avoiding my calls, coupled with gouging me to return the product has left me with a bad taste in my mouth. It’s poor business practices. They have lost me as a customer, so I’ll never make another purchase at the Brick. I’m going to make sure to tell as many others as I can so they will lose some other sales as well. I’ll be contacting the Better Business Bureau and we’ll see what effect that has. The Brick ... I felt like I was dealing with criminals. And all this I’ll will for $300? Not too bright!
