You can't just walk in and rent skates. I was told you have to order them ahead of time. There is just one guy that does the rentals and he's not always there. I had to watch the family skate because I didn't have my own skates. The place looked cool. Big huge skating oval. Lots of people and kids there. Seemed pretty low key.

It's amazing you can play indoor basketball, pink pong,and there is also a screen close to the vending machine where you can play a hockey game that's really fun,and other things are on it that don't involve just games. You can also buy snakes like coffee, tea,gum,noodles etc.

It's okay. When you're on the vac track you cant think because of how loud it is and the place isnt very clean. But it's nice to have during he winter months.

It has a nice skating oval and running track, as well as 2 hockey rinks, the way they built it was, sort of weird. They couldve made the tracks and oval full size to host events as well the skating oval, if you want to have a nice indoor jog or skate i recommend it though.

Did you know that this is the second only indoor oval in Canada we are so lucky to have it here in fort st john. As a speed skater this is very important to me!

I am a speed skating coach and former competitor who greatly benefited from this facility and still continue to travel to the facility for training camps and competition. The facility features 2 NHL sized hockey rinks (also with the capabilities to convert into a short track rink), a 400m Long Track Olympic sized Oval. a 350m rubberized running track suspended above the facility with a birds eye view. The City of Fort St. John has done an excellent job with providing our region with a great center for winter sports

It seems wrong to call it a sports center when there's really only speed skating, hockey, and a walking track in it. They definitely should have thought of more sports when they were planning it out.

At first glance, the establishment seemed quite well built with all of its facilities.... however, after a full walk through there were only hockey rinks and a running track. This place should be called the Pomeroy hockey arena as there were no basketball courts, tennis courts, volleyball courts, weight room, etc...... The amount of money that went in to this building was most definitely a joke.... could have been used to create an actual sports center.

Great multi-use facility. Hockey rinks and pingpong tables on the main level, a short track speed skating track on the 2nd level, and a walking track on the 3rd level. Calgary could use something like this.
