Wal Mart is going out of style, they do not have all the merchandise they use to & Prices have gone up drastically. The Customer service is also very bad there, as none of the staff smile or greet you like they use to when it first opend. None of the Staff ever look happy. I hope they make changes soon as i use to work there years ago at the one in Fort Mcmurray and I hope they bring it back to the way it was. Great Customer Service friendly staff and always Smileing. I still love this store but things need to change .

I go to Dollarama for several things that anywhere else is expensive. Paint supplies, gum, oven liners, Smarties, Crazy Glue, those little green wire garden fences and of course...cards. I'm a traditional card sender via Canada Post and Dollarama always has the best selection.

I only gave it one star just to share my experience. The checkout line weaved through the aisles and almost ( no exaggeration) to the back of the store. This is ridiculous to have to wait 20-30 just to checkout. I made no purchase.

By far the worst Walmart I’ve ever shopped in Canada and the US. This was a Sunday at 530pm store was wide open and full of customers. I completely understand you need to stock shelves, but when it impacts your ability to even shop or walk down into a department. This was Girls clothing, and my 3rd attempt this week to shop here.

No stock, and when they do have stock it's still on pallets in random areas of store and you have to climb them to get what you need. Or the pallets are in the way of something you actually need and no one will help you get what you need. Employees are rude, most of them don't care about their job never mind helping someone. Food selection is almost none existent. Which is probably just as well because the place is always dirty. The store could become an actual desired place to shop. But it's in desperate need of new management, caring employees, and a kick as cleaning crew.

Empty shelves, products with no price, always guessing how much a thing cost, just a couple price checks in the whole store and not working, aisles are narrow and they are always blocked with pallets or staff restocking shelves that anyways always look empty, hard to get around, poor selection of products, no cashiers available, just self check out and if you are doing a large purchase, it is hard to go through those self checkouts because there is not space where to place stuff, etc, when you go to another Walmart down south, is like going to a different store, bad this is the only Walmart in town among a fewer stores overall and looks like a thrift store.

Quiet place. Spacious parking. Separate way for truck and trailer. The shipping office do not remain open overnight. So my truckers friend, plz come accordingly. But there is space for 3 to 4 trailers near the unloading docks. Shipping office opens around 6 am.

Mid sized Walmart, not as big as ones in the metro area but much larger than the Grand Falls location. Only Supercentre in the province outside the metro area. Different layout from metro area Walmarts but carries much of the same product. Lines do, however, become more congested when the store is busy due to fewer checkouts than a standard Supercentre you would find elsewhere. Overall, small town Walmart with big city product selection.

I resent being forced to do a cashier's job at the self check out without being paid or getting a discount for my services. Then, after dropping several hundred dollars each time I shop, I have my receipt checked at the door like a common criminal. The return service has now changed and is not as flexible as it was. That was what set Walmart head and shoulders over the competition and it will be the straw that broke the camel's back to undo them. Obviously Walmart's are now foreign owned by those who are clueless about customer service.

If I could give 0 stars I 100% would. There are never and price tags on big items and when I ask for assistance from 2 employees I was glared at and told no. The photo lab person wasn't even at the photo lab she was just off talking on her personal phone and lost my photos and the pharmacy lost my prescription couldnt find it or my name in the system.. thus all happened in one day.

I Understand that the pharmacy closes at a certain time but there should be a way I can purchase gravol when I need to purchase it along with diapers and Buckley's. Ended up not finishing my shopping and went to Shoppers. When the pharmacy is closed at shoppers you can STILL purchase gravol it's in a secure plastic container that you bring up to front counter.

I spend 5 minutes around this place and I start grinding my teeth. It even starts in the parking lot before I park. Customers are ruse and have no respect for the store, I would feel bad for them but I feel it's self induced. The staff is always trying to be sneaky and play on their phones, the shelves are never stocked even though the palets are sitting in the aisles ready to be unloaded. I could go on for days; but since I have family that works there I will leave it that... I hear there is new management and they are interested in turning it into a superwalmart. Well I honestly wish you all the best of luck; just be sure to get the right leaders and remember that having respectful staff will make the customers follow suit.

Good variety of items and decent prices mostly. Often horrible washrooms (typically due to intoxicated "patrons". The staff (aka, one lady employed there who does the cleaning solely) actually clean it well). Mix of helpful, polite, knowledgeable staff, and rude, obviously oblivious, and completely negligent staff. One of the main hubs for people to walk around and window shop. There is a McDonald's restaurant conveniently located inside the store near the entrance.

It's not the staff that is the problem at Walmart, it's some of its customers. In my own opinion I will never use those self checkouts they take away jobs from people. I will stand in line for an hour to be waited on. The young exchange students that work there are very friendly and always greet you with a smile. Not like the customers who complain about them. People in general should be more nicer and not hateful . If you don't like exchange students here in Cape Breton maybe you should leave because you are giving Cape Bretoner's a bad name. I grew up in the Pier where there was many nationalities, and we had no problem there so. So people, the problem is not with the exchange students working at local stores it is the customers that have the problem. Lighten up people and maybe put a smile on your crooked face, have a nice day ✌????

Alot of stock not in stock notes on shelves for certain disinfectants advised to go to customer service for items only to be looked at like your crazy for asking. No information given as to when any more will be in. I drive bus and need disinfectant spray to keep clean in between passengers and sadly have to buy my own as company does not provde anything but bleach. So I'm spraying my seats and touch points 4 times a day. I was told by a friend of mine in a different city who is in management that he can't speak on other stores but that they keep theirs behind the desk for staff and only selling to their staff. Very frustrated as I am on the frontlines and can't get the products needed even from the manufacturer as they state they are only selling directly to hospitals and to companies proven front line. So what about those of us who are not a company but still frontline?

If I could give this set I stars I would. Stock on the floor all the time. Some staff hiding from work in the bathrooms, not all the staff are bad but the good ones are way overworked. Long lines. The outdoor section is horrendous. I've seen someone there twice. Generally a poor business that is profitable because of its location with no competition.

The employees are very limited in knowledge about the items in their respective departments,so don't expect to get many answers if you have any questions about your purchase, other than where it's located in the store,and weather or not they have it in stock. First time visiting this store and my experience was Hmm an okay one. The few staff is not knowledgeable about the products they don't know where things are or what it is your asking them to locate. I basically had to go look myself. I think the staff should educate themselves more about where things are. Interesting thing is the staff that I ask for help were wearing the yellow vest which I was surprised they didn't know what I was asking for. At the cashier they didn't have wrapping paper to wrap my fragile items the lady just put it in the bag like that I had to ask her for extra plastic bags to wrap them myself to substitute for them not having the wrapping paper needed to wrap fragile items . Smh ????????

Been really hard to find things in stock. Even if the website says it's available. Floor staff just says they don't know and tell you to check other areas instead of assisting you. The website has plenty of things but the shipping price is crazy and with how disorganized the store is I don't feel comfortable with shipping to the store. The cashier's and people at the self checkout definitely make the rating higher! They are friendly, fast and always cleaning to help ensure customer safety. I just wish things like the 3 meter rule and other things that were in effect when I worked there years ago were still part of the job!

Store layout and cleanliness was fine from what I could tell. Reason for my rating was the clearly untrained cashier. We had to wait 10 minutes for him to figure out how to use one single coupon for the customer in front of us. He first wrote "Done" on the coupon and passed it back to the customer, who then said "oh no you need to keep that!" so he put it in the trash can. The customer then said "no my love, that goes in the bottom drawer. You need to KEEP it!" so he put it in a drawer. Typical Walmart not training their employees properly.

This place has terrible customer service . I went to the store looking for a few things in electronics and nobody was in the department. Went looking for anybody ended up in automotive and found a employee that directed me back to electronics and tgat someone would be there. Ended up leaving after nobody came to help me . Figured i call back at 10:00 am to speak to somone and to my surprise i was on the phone for 20 mins waiting to talk to someone . Horrible store! One cash open(there are 4) with a huge line up. The rest are self check out. Very messy store even though the shelves are never stocked. The filthiest wal mart I have ever been too. Bathrooms were not cleaned at least for 14 hours, between 8pm and 10:30 am. The store opens at 8, closes at 10, so there is plenty time for cleaning. Especially with Covid, this is disgusting and unacceptable . The parking lot is littered with garbage, spilled food and cigarette butts, there are no garbage cans around the parking lot, there were maybe five clean carts at 8pm, with all the rest filthy around the parking lot. No hand baskets. Staff standing around when they could have been cleaning. Understaffed. No one seemed to care at all about anything.

We needed passport photos so we called walmart to ask how late the photo place was open. The person on the phone told us 7 pm. We then drove to Walmart at 6:30 pm to find out that the photo place closed at 6pm not 7. The worker at the passport booth took our number to call me with a discount. No phone call. Before leaving we stopped by customer service to ask who answers the phone and to let them know that the photo booth actually closes at 6pm. The person at customer service had no idea who answered the phone and was not even familier with the word "phone". All in all I'd compare the service experience to that of a kindergarten bakesale put on by the students.

This Wal-Mart is awful compared to all the other Wal-Mart's I've ever been to. Unorganized, confused staff that couldn't be bothered to help anyone and no where near the selection.
