I always buy cookware from this place and look for sale price. There is always something on sale. Lacoste is a good quality frying pan. But T-Fal is not good for me. Variety of cookware is available always. Their garden section is very good and big too. Sports items are also available and have a good selection. Automobile section is only open for limited time. Need to schedule a head of time. We always buy auto cleaning accessories from here. Hardware accessories collection is good too. Good customer service. Store is always very neat and clean. Lots of parking lots including para parking. There are few automatic checkout which I don’t like. Recommend others to try this store

Go to McMurray Auto! It's a private mechanic shop run by a man named Jim. He is very honest and his shop does great work. McMurray auto is at 8332 Manning Avenue on the corner of Manning avenue and Queen St. just behind Rona. They have been servicing my family's vehicles now for years and we have never had to go for the same problem twice!

When u order sometime online and pay for it already you would think it would be a quicker experience when to get to the store to pick up your item, but with Canadian Tire that is NOT the case, and this wasn't the first time either, there should ALWAYS be someone at the back counter to help wit the online orders, because that is the way of the world now (ordering online) and it should be am easier experience then it actually is.

I visited Canadian tire parts thrice in the past 2 days just warrant for my battery as none of the guys know how to do warranty paper thing and they kept on saying I am new and I haven't been taught so finally got hold of evan aquino the manager of parts as he looked truly Unprofessional and rude attitude with no sense of speaking or understanding English and kept on saying loudly that he can't find the receipt for my battery which I bought in the last year"s winter at this ctire location as it came with a 3 year warranty and I was told by parts guy at the time of purchasing that If I lost my receipt they can look it up in the system with my phone no. . After this terrible experience I would not encourage anybody to buy battery at this canadian tire as they don't treat you properly and don't honor the battery warranty program

They have a great selection. But it is very difficult to get customer service. On Sundays of course it's extra challenge because it's the only place open for that kind of stuff. They are understaffed often and this is a problem with Fort Saint John not just Canadian Tire. It's okay if you have lots of time cuz they will always do their best to find the things you want. Often they've had to go out to the Sea c-can to go get something that's on special. So for that yes I want to give them a five star. They are doing their best. But no it is not a quick trip running in and out to grab something. Basically I know what I need when I go in if it's a big ticket item I will ask them at the front to find it and then I'll do the rest of my shopping. Yes they've always been fantastic for that. But the problem is not everybody knows to ask, so they think they're sold out. I'm a sure that this affects their bottom line because they'd be able to make more sales. I truly believe they need a larger location. And anything I've purchased from there the quality has been absolutely great. I do a lot of Renovations so yes I have to shop on Sundays.

wouldn't trust them with a bike much less another one of my trucks took my 89 f150 in for a fuel delivery problem driving it home water pump blew looked at work order and the played with the fan clutch and in return must of done something with my radiator fixed that and it ran for one day and had the same fuel problem chaged me 400+ to fix it and dint actually do any thing to fix it will not be back for anything

I rolled into fort mac with a disastrous car issue from another mechanic shop on canada day, next day I called all around town and apparently not a single shop seemed to have any time or mechanics available due to a long weekend (weird for a friday...) and after trying everywhere I gave the auto repair office at this location a call and they booked me in same day and had the issue located and parts ordered to have it fixed by saturday. Very professional shop, fantastic customer service with the offering of different price points for options of repair, fantastic choice for stranded travellers or locals in need, of all canadian tire locations this one can certainly truthfully claim to be Canada's garage.

One major downfall to this place is the way I see the employees being treated.. Its not very nice to watch New location is amazing, and a great variety of good quality products to go with it. The old Canadian tire building was old dirty and too small. Im so glad they made a new bigger location. If Canadian tire sold groceries then I would probably do ALL of my shopping here. I hope they keep the place looking good and improve their communication skills.

Do not even try to get help from the staff they are basically trained to avoid you. To get a job here I think you must need to be an expert at avoiding eye contact, acting busy, and finding backalleys to sneak your way through the store as to not interact with customers. There's like two good workers there and the rest might as well be on nightshift when there's no customers around.

Why oh why are there all foreigners working in customer service. I am happy that a lot of people from third world countries have an opportunity to make their lives better in Canada but gosh dang it teach them some proper English and communication skills. It's frustrating to talk to the people and I know their trying their best. I blame the management for not making sure the people that work with the public can do their jobs properly by speaking well. This is a problem all over Fort Mac.

While it's true people say don't bring your car in and ive definitely seen why. Tires is just fine. Garden Centre employee's are fantastic, the selection is good and the people are in fact quite helpful. the negativity here in comments is unwarranted. Ok yes automotive fella is kinda rude, but stick to your guns and push the issue, that battery warranty is a pain for them, he's really not that bad. Just smile, it wont hurt you i promise. Management has always been punctual when/if requested though sometimes they are busy, and you may have to wait a few minute, thats not a big deal. Maybe you were impatient when you walked in nay sayers. I like this place, and will continue to give them my business.

Sometimes you walk in and it seems like you can't find an attendant to help but today, though there were lots of folks shopping, I noticed that there were a lot of associates throughout the store. I sought one out and she helped me in finding a bike. She found the bike in the system and behold there was one left in the back. She was fast and the checkout went through quickly. Loved it!

Took it there for fuel pump in july, idiots fixed battery and radiator for starting failer. Coat 1500$ 1 week later starting failer again and was told bring it back to fix it for free. So stupief me trusting these places took iy back. No im told t ignition module price 816$. 1 day later and 2300$ for my 700s car, starter failer. Fml call and im told it is the fuel pump.. Fo i take it back no way. Ill buy a new car. Doubt that they will do right and not guess again. Lesson learned dont trust Canadain tire.

So I went to purchase and sharpen a pair of skates. Had appropriate size in stock, very good. Find someone to sharpen them. I asked an associate and he said he’d get someone right over. Great. 5 minutes go by and no one shows up. I go looking. I find an associate but he avoids me. Finally I just call out to him that I need skates sharpened. Okay he’ll be over but he’s helping a few customers first. I see he helps the customers that approached him after I did. Why? Am I not a customer? Felt like it when I got to the checkout! They wanted my money. Furthermore, I have purchased skates at a different Canadian Tire and they offer free first time sharpening. Here they don’t. The associate at checkout cared not a cent whether it should be included. I was NOT impressed! Try another location if at all possible.

these guys are thieves. had engine problems, slipped timing belt, they supposedly inspected my valves, and told me was no valve damage, proceeded to change timing belt and engine still wont turn over after repair. They then told me I need a new engine, and charged me $1500+ for changing the timing belt . AVOID IF POSSIBLE

Scheduled a month in advance to have a previously purchased Canadian Tire Prostart command start unit in my pickup. I live 400km north of their location where there is no Canadian Tire. I told them they could have the truck on a Thursday as I was flying out of the Fort St. John airport (work was scheduled to be done on the Friday) and that I was returning the following Tuesday to pickup the truck and drive home. I returned Tuesday to find that they hadn't completed the installation, and I had to delay my return (by at least an hour) so that they could just put the truck back together. The command start doesn't function properly (it will start the truck, then it shuts off right away) and they didn't even setup the remote lock/unlock on the new key fob. They insisted I pay a bill for a complete installation before they would return my truck. All I got for $600 was a blinking blue light installed behind my rear view mirror. Useless!!! Will never do business with again!!

Went to Canadian Tire to get a socket. Walked around the tools department for 10 minutes and no sign of any workers to unlock the cage. Went to Customer Service and the lady paged for a guy to come see me in aisle 2. 10 minutes went by and nobody showed so I went back to Customer Service and the lady paged for a guy to come help me again. Another 10 minutes went and still no help. So I gave up and gave my business to someone else. Terrible service!

I bought a hose that had a 5 year warranty and after 1.5 years it ripped it got a hole in it. I lost my receipt but I went to exchange the item for something of higher quality. After 30 minutes of standing and waiting while the service rep looked for the item code and searched for the transaction, we found that I purchased it with an old bank account that I didn't have the card for anymore. The service rep tried to phone a manager but they would not come to the desk. She finally called them and they refused to honour the warranty. I will remember this experience when choosing who I do business with in the future.

The new store is really nice, lots of staff now which is great another plus. Issues that need to be resolved: - social distancing - maximum number of shoppers in the store at one time (you really shouldn’t be reaching 200 shoppers at one time, it’s not exempt because you have more floor space) - all employees need to wear face masks especially floor staff and cashiers. - sanitization of carts(especially the kids ones) - sanitizer should be used upon entering the store, or a fresh pair of gloves worn for those that have sensitivity. - Masks for shoppers should be mandatory out of respect for everyone including the Canadian tire staff. Getting into these habits right now is extremely important in preventing not only covid but other sickness and diseases. I’ve noticed other comments complaining about social distancing ( it can be controlled by enforcement and keeping a maximum allowable number of shoppers at one time) but all of the above is key into preventing the spread of illness and most of all showing respect to other human beings/ shoppers. It’s inevitable that FSJ will eventually have a wake up call, if not with covid but perhaps a future pandemic. Covid is not gone and it really does exist, FSJ has been really lucky so far with the number of cases.

Just Bought a drill from here that was on sale. Flyer explained a $20.00 difference when back down. Believe it or not a 0.2ah difference in 2 of the same drills is a $20 difference but the two drill cost the same amount amount Reg. price. Costomer services says its a different drill and they know more. Correct me if I am wrong, but Amps per Hour is the Batteries Not the drill?

Decent selection of items you probably need, but the staff are essentially useless. On two separate occasions I have been told they didn't carry what I was looking for, only for me to go find it myself. When you ask where to find something they usually just point the direction, or if they don't know just simply give up. Also it wouldn't hurt to have someone with a little less attitude working at the customer service desk, the one lady was lovely but she was definitely compensating for the other woman who was quite rude to us while we were just trying to make a simple return.

Unfortunately, I had the experience of dealing with Terry at the auto center twice so I can tell you with experience that this is the place you have to avoid at all costs. Terry believes in taking advantage of the people who are stuck rather than helping them out. Below are how my two visits went while was visiting Gaspe 1200kms away from my home in Ottawa: 1st visit - December 17, 2019 I got a flat tire and I bring it to the auto center and asked if it will be covered under warranty as my tires were within 5 years. Terry looks at the tire and said no it won't be as the thread is too low. Fair enough I brought my car in and asked if he could look at the threads of other tires if they were fine. All the other three tires were between 4 and 6 points and he confirmed they were fine. He said if something has to happen to other tires he will prorate it and replace it. I was going to change only the bad the tire but he insisted that I should buy two tires instead. I said okay and got the two new rear tires out of pocket. I asked them to swap a spare tire as well and for this change they charged me $15 (more on this later). 2nd visit - December 19, 2019 Unfortunately, this time I hit a very big pot hole and busted the sidewalls of my front right and rear right tire. I call CAA and bring the car in to Canadian Tire auto center. Terry confirms that he will cover the rear tires under warranty as we just changed it. But here's the catch we don't have more of the tire in stock so you would have to pay the difference of one tire up. The difference was about $100 more for two tires plus I had to pay for balancing again. I asked can you order me more of the same. He goes yea I can but they won't be here before two weeks and I know you are visiting only for a few days. This is your only option and the store is closing in an hour so you have to make the decision right now. Also, he did not changed the front tire under warranty which he had confirmed on my first visit that will be prorated if something has to happen to it. I said okay please change it and could you please swap the spare again. He said sure it will be $20. I'm like what!, you charged me $15 the other day, he fumbled and said oh I did you a favor the other day and we usually charge $20. At this point, I said whatever just change it. This is my second visit to Gaspe and this was my only bad experience that I can think of. It was painful to see that at a reputed place like Canadian Tire, I get to experience such behaviour. Please avoid this auto center and find some local garage instead when you are in Gaspe.
