Jeers to the owner of this place for vociferously arguing with a customer over $1, incomplete signage, and a misplaced greeting card. Their greeting card section has two distinct parts — a large continuous portion with signs about 11” x 5” that say “$1" in a horizontal header row above the columns of cards, and a smaller portion with similar signs that say “$2”. I selected a card from the $1 section. At the register, the cashier said it was $2 plus tax and when I questioned it, she said that all cards wrapped in plastic were $1 but all unwrapped cards were $2. I told her it was in the $1 section and when she refused to adjust the price, I asked to speak to a manager, who I’ve come to find out is the owner. When he came up to the front he approached the situation with a curt “What?" I said the card was in the $1 section and we were being asked to pay $2. He said it was $2. I asked how I was supposed to know that (since the price printed on the cards are not what they charge there). He said it was on the signs in the greeting card section. I walked back there and confirmed my earlier impression that they only list the price. I did see a small copyright notice on the sign, but nothing clarifying which cards cost what. This situation would have been easily eliminated if the signs simply listed the category of cards they applied to. I asked again how was I supposed to know the card was $2 if it was in the $1 section. He said somebody else must have put it in the wrong section and he wasn’t going to sell it to me for $2, and if I didn’t like it, I could leave his store and go pay four times more somewhere else, that he was just trying to run his business and he didn’t need the hassle. At some point during this, he said he was being honest about the price. I told him he wasn’t, since he had lied to my face about the signs clarifying what cards they applied to. When he continued to be rude, and argumentative, and tell me if I didn’t like it that I could just get out and pay more elsewhere, I walked out. I've since had confirmation from others who know him that he's a hothead and it sounds like he definitely should not be a running a business that involves dealing with customers. Getting in a heated argument over $1 showed me that patronizing his business is just rewarding his childishness.

Everything is not a buck or two! This store has everything from party supplies to spices! It is very well stocked, things you would expect at a dollar store for cheap but not always a buck or two, usually more (which should be expected). The store was clean and well organized and the staff greeted me and asked me if I needed help with finding anything. Unsure their social distancing procedures, didn’t notice any signs or precautions.

Greeted by the cashier, and I heard her do it to every customer after me. Courtesy like that doesn't go unnoticed as many people in the service industry become jaded from bad experiences. The women working were kind and offered to keep my items in a basket while I went to my car to get my MC/cash as they DO NOT take Visa. They had SO many more items than I expected so I was pleasantly surprised. Most items were over $1.75 from what I purchased but seeing as how there isn't much choice from other businesses, I had no issues paying what was asked. I will definitely stop in there again when I'm in the area.
