FGI did a great job for us last year. We needed work done on a 50 year old privet hedge that was just too much for us. They did an excellent job and made our property visually pleasing and user friendly. They also work for my daughter at her property and not only regularly keep the property well mowed and trimmed but have given excellent advice on plantings and have completed the plantings suitable for the area.

Hired FGI for a landscaping job. Alistair knows his stuff. Very smart, professional. Quoted me the estimate on site. Knew how much everything cost. I paid a fair price. Crew worked efficiently. I asked him to come back and make a small fix and he did plus more. My yard looks great. Based on that and good customer service, I will hire FGI again in the future.

FGI Landscaping does a fantastic job year-round to keep our yard, gardens, and driveway looking great. We've used FGI for over a year for mowing, seasonal yard clean-up, and mulching and are always very happy with their work. But we also started using FGI this winter and have been particularly impressed with the excellent job they've done keeping our long narrow city driveway and our sidewalk, walkway and entry steps clear of snow and ice. That's a tough job in Buffalo, and FGI has consistently been here for us, coming regularly, on time, and doing a very thorough job. Highly recommend this locally owned and operated business, and know you will also get the same personal and responsive good service from the owner, Allistair, and the FGI crew.

I know little to nothing about gardening. At the age of 71, this lady is much better at plumbing and electrical. It was time though, my yard needed serious help! I talked with a couple of landscapers in the area and then called FGI...whoa....a $150.00 consult fee??? This gent must be serious (he deducts it from your bill!????). I told Alistair I wished to help wildlife, bees, bunnies, butterflies and birds, then I handed him a blank canvas, he was to choose everything. His knowledge of indigenous plants, of plants that nurture all those ‘b’s above is remarkable. He painted the canvas in November and I am in awe of the beauty that is now mine...front yard, back yard and both sides of the house. Thank you Alistair, you are incredible! Allistair is great to work with. His knowledge of plant life is inspiring and his visions of what will look and thrive best told me I had to hire him.

I have been with FGI for 13 years for mowing and spring clean up. Last year they replaced the lawn front yard with a waterless rock stream, plants and compost. Some landscape companies will charge hundreds of dollars just to develop the plan. FGI does not. They listen to you then make your dreams come true!

We moved into our home in April and immediately hired FGI Landscaping to do our yard work. They have done an absolutely fantastic job. The yard always looks wonderful. They took the time to go over everything we wanted for the plantings and made it look just how we wanted. They always stay in touch to see if we want clean up at the end and beginning of the season. They do just as great a job with the snow removal portion of the business as well. This winter we lost my partner’s son and therefore had a house sitting vacant. When I emailed Alistair, right before a big storm, to see if FGI could take care of the snow removal there, he said it would be no problem at all. They did a fantastic job at both our home and the vacant house. We could not be more impressed!

I offer this review having been a customer of FGI Landscaping for almost two years. Alistair Holden consistently responds promptly and thoughtfully to my communications with him. He delivers on commitments and gives notice about what services his crew is performing and when. Without fail, he informs me about any changes to the plan we agreed upon. The crew is competent, open to direction, friendly and respectful. I enjoy working with and interacting with them. FGI Landscaping does the work I no longer can or want to do myself, leaving me free to do light work in the garden and enjoy it more. I would say the quality of my life has been upped a notch or two.
