What an amazing place for any plant lover; from assorted Sansevieria to Hoya to Philodendron to succulents to pots and fresh chilli peppers to hot sauce, this place has it all. Good prices, extremely clean premises, a nice chicken coop for kids to enjoy, a serene little pond, a sprawling backyard to take a walk, and a cute pumpkin patch. Moreover it is right in the city centre. A Sunday afternoon well spent. Would definitely be going again!

We bought our Queen Marble Pothos and a little string of hearts plant. They have a beautiful selection of plants. Their online site was easy to navigate for pick up and delivery. The staff was very friendly and knew a lot about the plants. It was nice to support a local nursery instead of buying a plant at Canadian Tire or Walmart. We will now come here for all our future nursery needs! Also their selection of pots is amazing! Really unique pieces that would be a great gift (I bought one with glasses for my partner for christmas!).

We have been coming here for years, staff are amazing, friendly and it's great to see something like this still thrive in Toronto vs the big guys. Every year this is goto for plants and gardening supplies. Just recently brought my girls to come meet the baby chicks and they were kind enough to show us the playground and roosters so our girls could play. I will continue to support Angas Farm and recommend it to everyone.

manaswi chowdary

I stumbled upon this nursery by accident and may have found a new favorite plant shop. They have a beautiful variety of topical house plants at such a reasonable price. I purchased an alocasia for 11.99 ???????? They also have a large variety of healthy outdoor plants. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommand if you are in the area.

super friendly staff and what a gorgeous nursery! they have a decent variety of indoor as well as outdoor house plants – zz plant, fern, ivy, peperomia, calathea, pothos, snake plant, peace lily, monstera, palm, succulents, air plants, etc. and size ranges from small palm size to floor-to-ceiling fiddle leaf figs and luscious birds of paradise. the plants all look very healthy and strong, and for a very lovely price. there’s parking right across and ice cream truck swinging by during my visit on a hot summer day.

Vrushali Mahajan

A really good nursery, humble staff. A little expensive. You won't get normal terracotta pots here.

Updating the review: They reached out to me, and offered to refund as store credit. They also said they'd examine the suppliers carefully. Bought a little over 100$ worth of stuff here including two plants. The Monstera had issues from day one. I got in touch with them on Instagram, where they said it’s a common thing for leaves to turn yellow.. that brown spots on new leaves is over watering, (wasn’t), and when I sent them a picture of a grown leaf turning yellow, they said it’s cause it’s in a terracotta and doesn’t have enough water or moisture. The yellow leaf’s stem just broke off and I see there’s no root under it. Barely a twig sized one. My other monsteras in the house are doing completely fine.. I bought a baby one cause I wanted to film the leaf perforation. However, it’s been a complete disappointment! Beware before you buy from them. They don’t take any accountability.

Aliké Waldrof

I had a great experience here. Wide variety of plants. Spacious and staff on site were knowledgeable about all my needs. I am one to call in advance and everytime I've called they produced a great amount of information to all my questions asked. Overall I am greatly pleased with everything they offer. Give them a visit!!!! I know I'll be back !!!!!

Honestly I used to love coming here until i realized most of their plants show lots of thrips damage and and many of them are visible too. Buyers be aware of how to deal with thrips and be sure to isolate new plants. Thrips are a nightmare and the saddest things that can happen to your plants and are VERY difficult to get rid of. If you have many plants in your home dont buy from here.

Visited this nursery twice in the last week, and it was a very good experience both times. Good selection of quality stock (PW, etc), reasonably priced, and helpful, knowledgeable staff. They stand behind their product and will make things right (thank you Rose). Parking is reasonable for the size of the nursery, and staff are there to help guide you as it's across the street from the property. Checking out can take a little longer as there are only two cashes, but nothing to sorry about. We will definitely be back.

I bought a succulent from Anga's and didn't notice mealybugs in 3 different places on it until I got home. I was drawn to the colour of the plant, but now I notice how misshapen it is with brown tips (inexperienced new plant mom). It's supposed to be echeveria prince, and last one left at Anga's. Can't save it. The worse of all is that I found that succulent in the midst of all their other succulents. These bugs are going to spread to all the other plants. So sad I have to toss it out. Waste of money. Please check your plants for bugs before buying from Anga's.

We spotted this gem of a garden centre when driving out of our neighborhood to deliver something, so I immediately pulled in. What a lovely, peaceful place! Good selection of roses, shrubs, pond plants, hanging baskets, herbs, annuals, perennials and succulents, oh the succulents! They had popular ones and some unusual ones, all healthy and well looked after. Staff were friendly and allowed us to roam and explore.

- Amazing staff - Great prices - Beautiful environment - They have Sensitive plants!

Ordered & paid for 2 separate deliveries. 1 gravel & 1 soil. But instead I got 1 delivery of them both together. If I wanted soil mixed with gravel I would have ordered that! I also requested a early delivery (in the morning) I was told I would get it. My delivery actually arrived mid afternoon. I understand they are busy. Don't say you'll do it... If you won't. Good product & prices. Dissatisfied & disappointed in service.

What an amazing "little" nursery, its winter and the interior it has what you need now, I'm sure in spring, and summer it triples its size. Has a discount right now 20% to 30%.

L. N

A bit pricey compare to the big box store garden centres (x1.5 to x3) but has a great selection of plants and planters. Some cashiers (guess they are students on summer job) needs to put the cell phones down when the customers are waiting. Giving 4 stars because of the unnecessary wait while the young clerk playing her phone right in front of me and other customers where she could clearly see us waiting for her to start doing her job.

The staff was very knowledgable and friendly, and the plants were high quality and well tended to. Definitely a better experience than a big chain store. Love Anga's!

Andrew Wilson

These people send their flyers in the mail boasting of how good they are, yet when you ask questions over the phone, or meet some of the staff in person, it is like they do not want your business and give you that "why are you bothering me" kind of look. They also give some ridiculously HIGH quote over the phone without first asking questions as well as taking the necessary steps in determining the materials that are required and the type of work that needs to be done. Needless to say, they lost a potential customer, because this is all it took for me to drive a little further down and locate beautiful garden and landscape businesses for significantly lower prices, and more importantly, better customer service by far!

Fantastic customer service. They have adapted very well to the shift and demand for online shopping and Curbside pick up due to Covid-19 lockdowns. They post on their social media to update their customers and provide excellent content. When I called to inquire about a particular plant, Taylor, one of their helpful staff went above and beyond to send me videos of the plants I was looking to buy. It’s tough buying plants online but they were extremely helpful and made it very easy. Taylor, if you’re reading this - thank you so much!

It’s my second time visiting Anga and each visit was relaxing and eye opening. The reps were very knowledgeable and the selection was plentiful. The location was very spacious and everyone can practice physical distance while shopping for their plants. I would definitely come back to add to my collection.

Pauline Tecson

This is were I got my first babies that are so beautiful and healthy! They have a huge variety of plants. Highly recommend this place.

t-dot

Overpriced & poor service. I live in the area and went there to get a couple of bags of clean fill for a bit of grading, I went there once before and talked to the owner and he was reasonable, the price was $5 a bag, but in a pinch what can you do. Fast forward 3 years and I needed to do a bit of grading but this time John wasnt there price was now $6 a bag plus I had to bag it. No thanks..

This is going to be a long one, apologies in advance: Let's start with the good stuff: I visited this nursery approximately four or five months ago and I purchased five plants and a couple bags of potting soil. The potting soil is absolutely amazing and much better than the generic brands available at most big box stores. Also, there are lots of cute planters available at this nursery and other gardening supplies. Unfortunately, I am disappointed with the plants that I purchased at this nursery, because they were infected with bugs and I haven't been able to save most of them. I bought a polly alocasia, a shangri la philodendron, a rabbit foot fern, a watch chain succulent and a pickle plant. With the four bags of soil (which were $4 or $5 each), I ended up spending over $80. When I got these plants to my house, I inspected them and all of the plants except the pickle plant and watch chain had spider mites and what looked like thrips on the underside of the leaves. They were all drenched, and had water dripping out of the pots. I put paper towels under the pots and when I checked back the next day, the paper towels were crawling with hundreds of spider mites from underneath the fern. It was kind of awful to deal with because I had these plants isolated on a small metal bench, and the mites had managed to crawl all over this thing, and the entire thing had to be sprayed with insecticidal soap and cleaned thoroughly. The polly alocasia had the most thrips on the leaves and the leaves completely shriveled up as a result. The rabbit fern eventually succumbed to the spider mites as well. The pickle plant shriveled up within a few weeks from unknown causes (can't blame the nursery for this as it's possible I could have done something wrong). However, my sister also bought a pickle plant and it shriveled up exactly like mine did within the same time frame. I've been able to salvage the shangri la because it, but it still lost half of its foliage. The watch chain succulent was the only clean plant which is growing nicely. Essentially, four out of five plants that I purchased had major issues, and three of them have died. The thing that bothers me the most is that the rabbit foot fern that I bought was found on a trolley (that was in a separate section away from the other ferns) which had a variety of other plants on it that were also drenched in water. Thinking back to it, I'm considering whether those plants were all infected with bugs and were purposely sequestered off to the corner of the store. So... Definitely stay away from the random plants that are standing off to the side, away from the tables. The sales person we dealt with was extremely friendly, but we waited over ten minutes to be cashed out. For reference, there was only one other customer at the nursery when I was there. There was one employee taking photos for social media and she completely ignored us even when we had to pass by her to get , and the other two employees were having a conversation in the side office while we waited at the cash with our items. They all basically ignored us even though we were clearly standing in front of the checkout counter for several minutes. It was a bit awkward after the first few minutes, since I was about to have to go into the office to get someone's attention. Definitely an odd experience. Overall, this nursery has a lot of plant varieties that I have not been able to find at other nurseries, which makes shopping here extremely fun. The prices are average for the tropical plants. For example, the small pickle plant I purchased was $8.99 and the 6" polly alocasia was $16.99 or so. I do wish they didn't have bugs, but maybe I just got terribly terribly unlucky. The soil was definitely the best purchase I made and I will be going back next spring to repurchase that. If you shop here, PLEASE ISOLATE YOUR PLANTS when you get them home. I can't imagine the amount of damage that could have been done of the thrips and mites had spread to all my other plants.

This place is ok. Not very big and limited selections of plants especially the smaller house plants. They do carry alot of larger outdoor plants. They do not sell seeds or bulbs either.

Karen Jackson

I bought some beautiful hanging baskets last summer from this garden centre. They grew very big, and bloomed till the fall. Definitely getting my hanging baskets from here this year! Hopefully they have the same ones

Minuet Ettinger-Wheeler

Great selection and really healthy looking plants. Reliably reasonable prices and was very excited to see a wide variety of pumpkins when looking for decorations and carving materials. Staff was also very helpful and knowledgeable. I also saw some varigated plants at very very good prices. 10/10 go here!

Today I went to the farm to pick some apples with my husband. Unfortunately, our experience was a disappointment with this farm. We asked for a large basket and one of the employee gave us a tiny flower pot as a basket and we paid 10$ for it! After picking the apples, same employee asked for extra 5$ because we piled up the basket! It was a ridiculous experience! We refused the extra charges and the employee suggested us to go to the grocery store instead! We left all the apples there. I will never gonna come back to this place ever..

Amit Nagassar

Great place. Wide variety of plants to choose from..

Visited Anga’s on a late Sunday morning in search of some perennials to fill the empty spaces in my garden. Happy to find that it was not crowded. The nursery has a decent selection of annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs, and houseplants. The houseplants were pricier than some of the places I’ve seen downtown although the perennials seemed to be fairly priced. Will be returning to this lovely little place again soon.

Excellent customer service! I went on May 24 weekend and even though it was packed I was still helped by multiple employees and the line went so fast. Employees are pleasant and they keep the plants in great shape. Beautiful set up as well. Definitely going to keep coming here!

theressa woodward

My boyfriend bought an Areca Palm as a B-Day gift from here. Unfortunately I have had many problems with it since regarding pests. I am new to owning plants so there was no preexisting issues. I have contacted them about it to which I had suggestions about watering (shifting blame onto myself) but basically no taking of responsibility. A friend also purchased the same palm from them approx 2 weeks ago and is having the same pest problem So I would say it stands to reason the problem is originating from them. Again when I tried to raise the issue they assumed no responsibility. I asked if they had a return program in place like Sheridan Nursery or if repotting could be done to save this plant seeing as I’ve basically been sold a plant with issues. Again they turned me down and suggested I buy the stuff from them to do it myself. They have lost a costumer in me, my friend and anyone I know is planning to buy from there.

I just took a trip to this amazing little nursery on a whim and I’m so glad that I did. They have a great variety of healthy plants - I bough a succulent, a bonsai tree and a venus fly trap in one purchase. Plus, to top it all off, the staff and was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I’ll definitely be making more than one return visit.

I have been hunting for a set of brightly colored flower planters for my front porch for quite some time now; I had gone to several large garden centers and had yet to find something that really suited my needs until I happened to drive by a large sign that showed a garden centre and decided to wander inside. I IMMEDIATELY found exactly what I was looking for in seconds. The nursery is huge and has a ton of variety and selection of outdoor garden products. I am extremely pleased with the 3 planters we purchased that day and after a few weeks, they still look gorgeous and are holding up well with regular watering and proper care of course. I recently moved into a new home and am interested in starting a nice garden in both the front and backyard so I will definitely be back to shop here for more plants, flowers, herbs, fruit/veggie plants, and more!

Small, family run place with an excellent selection and good prices. The staff is very helpful. They have a wide assortment of succulents and cacti.

Anga’s is the closest nursery to me so it’s quite easy for frequent stops. They have a variety of house plants and outdoor plants. Their plants are typically strong and happy and are well loved before they find their forever home. They have a great selection of pots and have recently expanded their operation to accommodate more plant accessories.

The staff is very knowledge . Last year I purchased two beautiful fruit trees. They have been healthy until recently. I was guided to purchase a sprayable insecticide that should help with eliminating the leaf eating caterpillars and moths in my garden. It is a serene place in the middle of the city. Their selection of plants is quite expansion. The owner John is available if you have questions. Service is great . Although a little more expensive I prefer to support local and buy my plants at a nursery rather than a big box or chain store. So many garden centers in my area have disappeared.(Humber and Plant World)

Customer service staff is super helpful and accommodating. I worked with Satarha, (I really hope I didn’t butcher the spelling too bad!), They were able to help coordinate a rushed valentines gift for my partner and it went off perfectly! Overall I’m really happy with my experience at Anga’s Farm & Nursery. Curb side pickup was fast and easy, and though the website could use a little work it was overall really easy to place my order. Also the property is super cute and I can’t wait to come back in the summer! Thanks guys!

I never knew that there would be a nursery in Toronto. The location is great and the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. The prices are a little high, but that’s because it’s Toronto, it makes sense.

Went there Mothers Day weekend, gorgeous plants & flowers, very healthy. Staff are super helpful and welcoming. A wonderful hidden gem in the city. Prices are very reasonable given the quality you receive.

Amazing experience from the moment we stepped through the gates! The staff was friendly and welcoming. We were so lucky to meet Alexx who from the beginning of our experience was eager to help. I had plenty of questions and she answered them all confidently, informatively and patiently, and she went above and beyond bringing two bags of topsoil to our car when we realized we didn’t have anymore room on our cart. We found everything we were looking for (annuals, perennials, top soil, even garden decor!) Our next project is a vegetable garden, we can’t wait to go back. Our garden looks absolutely beautiful! We will definitely be back for more! P.S - their resident pup is so gentle and sweet! She made sure to say hello too! :)

Great selection of houseplants and cacti and they are always getting restocked. Found a calathea orbifolia and white fusion here ???? They sell specialty soil for tropical plants here if you need and some planters as well.

Picked up our Christmas ???? tree and it's beautiful.

Beautiful and serene, but also a great place to find new plants, plants that you don't find everywhere else, prices are reasonable, as low as $5, as high as $300, that I saw anyway, the more expensive are very big plants, much variety, lots of kinds of tropical plants, lots of types of fruit and citrus trees and bushes, lots of cactus, many flowers, just all kinds of stuff, even papyrus and plants for ponds. Just found it today, and it is now one of my favourite nurseries. I took a picture of the big sign that you would see from the main road, the nursery is hidden, but it is hard to miss the sign that points an arrow in the direction of the nursery. Look through the pictures and you will see what I am talking about. Also, great staff, you gotta go, just beautiful!

On November 1st, I purchased a Cordyline Ruby and less than a week at home, the leaves were spotted, started to dry up and fall off. I contacted the nursery via Instagram exactly two weeks after my purchase and was told I might be overwatering it (I wasn't) and that "only the bottom leaves are affected so I wouldn't be too concerned about it". A month after my purchase, my Cordyline Ruby had lost most of its leaves despite following all care instructions since bringing it home. It's a shame that my first experience at Angas resulted in such a sad looking plant. I've since seen posts of other Cordyline Ruby plants on their Instagram account and can't believe the plant I took home and those being featured in their stories were supposed to be the same plant. I truly believe I was sold a bad plant otherwise I wouldn't be writing a review two months later. It's a shame Angas doesn't stand behind their products and refuses to take accountability. I contacted the nursery on December 11th to express my disappointment with their product and customer support but have not received any response. This is why I decided to leave a review and I'm glad I did because it's clear others have had similar experiences. This wasn't my first plant purchase and it won't be my last but I'll definitely be taking my business elsewhere moving forward.
