Gorgeous views from the course and met some super friendly members. Lower rating because greens had just been aerated so weren't the greatest. Rough on fairways wasn't cut and we didn't see a beer cart all day. All front nine was super slow play. Great day none the less.

Having grown up in Elliot Lake & playing my early golf at the old (aptly named) Rockwood nine hole course Yikes what an improvement! Lol I played the new Stone Ridge course July 23rd & really enjoyed the newer 18 hole layout! I must admit I lost a few balls trying to go for greens that I shouldn't have but that's golf! The best part is the wide openness of the course! In the past we were eaten alive by the bugs waiting for us to come into the close woods! Lol Terrific design by Mr. McBroom! Beautiful new Clubhouse! Thanks for my new memories of playing this wonderful new course! I can't wait to play it again more conservative next time! Lol Alan Miller of Barrie.

So we went to Putter's restaurant for my older brothers Happy Birthday. Pros and Cons: The drinks took so long I went looking for them after 15 minutes. I also had to ask the other waitress, who was very visible, checking on her table several times, to ask ours to come so we could place our food order. My sister-in-law and I ordered the pan-seared haddock, which was very good, minus the hair I found in the cooked vegetables, of course, I asked for a garden salad and got a cesar. My Mother enjoyed her fish tacos. Our waitress didn't check on us at all, and our food order took a long time as well-both appetizers and main food orders. So if you are in a hurry and expect fast service, depending on which waitress you get, this is not the place for that. The other waitress was newer, her table arrived about 5 minutes after us-got their drink order before us and their food before us too. But if you want a Lovely view as you sit on the patio and enjoy the grounds and the water. This is absolutely the place for a relaxing and tranquil time.

Fairways and greens were lush and in good condition. Pro was helpful and found some friendly people to play with. Greens were really hard to read. Last hole over the water was a great hole to finish. I'll be back.
