Do not try to hire this company to do any landscaping work for you, they will simply waste your time as other reviewers have said. I had the exact same experience, where the owner gave me the run-around for literally 6 months while trying to get a quote. I will never waste my time trying to give this company my money ever again. I called them 4 times ( June, July, September 2018 and April 2019) to get a quote for some work in my backyard. They told me they would call me back and pass by everytime but they never did. I really wanted to hire them because my neighbors dealt with them. Very disrespectful. Not reliable.

Quite a few years ago, Pépinière des Sources (PdS) and their team did a complete overhaul of our driveway and front porch. We’ve had so many compliments about it over the years, and still do since it still looks just great. Later we did a retaining wall in the front lawn, again with PdS’ team. Then, last Fall, we hired them to do our backyard as during the summer we got rid of our above-ground pool and wooden deck. They did a wonderful terrace with a beautiful stone pattern. Gina suggested plants that are really a great fit. Everyone who came this Summer could not believe how beautiful our backyard looked. Thank you very much for the time you took to help us decide while respecting our budget and for the excellent workmanship of your team.

Stones ordered never come on time and sometimes when they arrive they are of the wrong type. When we call for deliveries the reply is “nothing is for sure in our store” . Edit (downgraded to 1 star as i see how they do business now): I just got a call from this merchant SHOUTING AT ME AND THREATENING me to remove my review and saying "remove the review or you and i are going to have a problem" , "do you have nothing better in life than writing reviews" while the stones committed to be delivered last week are still not delivered and contractors are waiting. As a customer i have the right be dissatisfied of a service or a product !

I suggest you shop around. I've contacted Pep des Sources many times in the past for quotes for: 3/4" gravel, 0-3/4" gravel, pea gravel, triple mix top soil, regular topsoil, extra-loam top-soil, wet sand, firewood, etc. I have found their prices to be x1.75 to x4 higher than similar businesses (e.g. Rona Pincourt, West Island Nursery, Le Centre de Jardin Cinquino, etc.). As well as having very high prices they charge delivery starting at $75-120 (regardless of your distance from site - I'm 1.1 km from their lot). I suggest you shop around; you'll be surprised at what you'll find (e.g. I ordered 12 cu/yds of triple mix top soil from Rona for $425 taxes & delivery included; Pep de S. quoted me $950 + delivery + taxes for exactly the same product and quantity).

Too bad there's not a lower rating than Poor. Poor is a complement for this place. Horrible service. They screwed up my order, and instead of being humble and fixing their mistake, they were all rude and gave me the run around. I had to constantly call them to correct their mistake. Good luck if you decide to give them your business.

Don't rely on the bad reviews. Go to the store and talk to the owner Peter. I had lots to do in my front and back yard. I got few quotes from different places. These guys were the cheapest and the owner even gave me some free stuff. My excavation guy was surprised i got materials cheaper than he gets from his supplier XD

As a long time customer of Sources Nursery, I recommend their business to all and will continue to do so as long as they are open. Peter and Gina work 7 days a week to ensure customers are satisfied and can always be found at the store. They have supplied are city with resources during flooding, design gardens and explain how to do their jobs to home owners who wish to tackle projects themselves free of charge and on their own time. Nowadays that is hard to find. It is a shame to see reviews used to exert frustration rather than overall experience since delays in work or deliveries is out of their control, as weather, production and many other factors influence their line of work. 5 stars is an understatement.

Expensive, but what drew it over the line for me is that I bought a cherry tree recently and the bourlap sac was not in good condition (greenish and disintegrated) and the soil smelled a bit. When I called to ask if there was something wrong with the tree, I was told they do not guarantee the trees and that there is no way something was wrong with the tree (!). Go figure. I hope the tree will survive, but I will think more than twice going back.

It appears their Lawn service is just as bad if not worse than their Snow Removal service. They havent kept their word, they dont return calls to dissatisfied and very patient clients, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

Even if I live very close to Pepiniere Pierrefonds I prefer going the distance to buy from this guys. Just amazing! Very nice poeple, take their time with you, hapy to help and if there are issues (like cracked pavers on the palet) they will take care of it no problem and wont turn everything into a circus like it hapened with this guy at Pepiniere Pierrefonds. Strongly recomend them.

I put 1 star, but it too high. This company deserve zero or minus million. I ordered soil with compost, but got the mix from gray clay (like construction garbage), dust and a little bit of compost. After few days on the sun, this "soil" become a dust. And it not possible to water. Dust hold the water and it doesn't soak. For make this "soil" usable - needs add a lot of compost and sand. Also I ordered mulch. I ordered 60 cubic feets of mulch. But I got only 35 cubic feets. The company doesn't want bring me rest of the mulch or take its back and refund me my money. KEEP OUT OF THIS COMPANY! If you want get construction garbage instead the soil and half of your order - you are in the right place!

Nothing has prices on it....which is both illegal, and very convenient for them when you ask them for the price, and then suddenly it's even more expensive than their already high prices when you get to the cash. They will try to upsell you on things you specifically said you don't want, and act condescending when you refuse. Very expensive and not very professional. There's a reason why these small Mom & Pop stores are disappearing... I will add that it IS illegal to not post prices or barcodes with scanners that customers can use to check prices. It is even more crooked to quote one price, and then suddenly increase it at the cash. If your business is not ready to be opened to the public because you haven't done your pricing yet...then don't open it? Again, very unprofessional practices.
