Everything seemed great, the grass was perfect for 2-3 weeks and then dead!!!! I'm an avid gardener and have been so for some time. I followed all the rules to the "T". Root starter, fenced off for 2 weeks so no one stepped on it, watered it, checked the roots by tugging the sod, cut when it was time, measured and cut only 1/3 off. Then after that it rotted and turned to mush. After that, I called them and they said I had done something wrong, I disagreed. My yard is only 280sq ft. So I would not recommend them.

We just finished a large house reno and the last detail was the front yard. At this point we were done with all the headaches of dealing with Contractors. We contacted various companies with Instant Lawns being one. John came out and gave us a price on the spot and was very accommodating with our timelines. We signed the estimate and he gave us a date that worked for us. They showed up on the day and did an awesome job. The installer wanted to do a little extra and ordered more sod just to finish it off. Great customer service and I would highly recommend.

The initial discussion and agreement with John was that he was only going to supply the grass. Upon meeting him at the site location, my mother-in-law discovered that he not only removed the existing (dying) grass that was laid the previous week by the site occupants (not BC Instant Lawns), he also laid the new grass, watered it and gave his expert opinion on how to care for it. Very happy with the lawn which this company installed, and the advice on how to maintain it, including specifically which fertilizers to use, when to apply them, how to avoid the chafter beetle, how much and how often to water, and so on. The price was reasonable, and the crew were fast and polite. The grass thickened up over the next few months, and it's now incredibly lush and weed-free with minimal effort (just 1-2 minutes of hand-weeding every couple of days is enough to stop any weeds taking hold, no chemicals necessary). Despite our recent once-weekly water restriction, the grass looks great - very healthy and well-rooted.

These guys are awesome. I called to ask about a single roll of sod to repair a hole my dog dug before I move out in 2 days (want that deposit back you know!). I figured it was a long shot to get service with short notice (not to mention on Easter weekend), but John made it easy. We had our new lawn installed less than a year ago. The crew were fast, super friendly and our lawn was the envy of the neighborhood. Fast forward 2 months...suddenly we have a chafer beetle problem! Guess what..we are actually the only house on our block with the chafer beetle problem! Our neighbours are not happy about this. I contacted john a few times... Sent him pictures of some patchy areas in the grass and areas that racoons are rolling up to get at the grubs... I didn't even contact him to complain but to simply ask for suggestions on what to do or if we should hire them for lawn maintenance. Nobody from the company replied or contacted me so that was a huge let down. Now almost a year after installation we have many patchy areas and it's been a rough battle maintaining the bettle/ lawn problem. Our lawm is def NOT the envy of the neighborhood now.

Thank you, I had a really positive experience with your company. Online ordering was easy and you showed up the next day with exactly what I ordered. The sod and soil are very good quality; much better than what I bought at Home Depot last year. Wilson arrived during the one hour delivery window of time which I appreciated so I wasn't stuck at home waiting all day. Wilson repositioned his truck so that I didn't have to walk very far with the soil and sod. He went above and beyond with helping me and answered my questions about how I was going to install the soil myself .He was also very friendly and approachable - my young son was helping me and Wilson asked him questions that made my son feel included. We opted to get sods from BC Instant Lawns instead of big retailers for our front lawn because we can get premium quality sods and quick delivery. The overall cost is slightly more but definitely saved us time, effort, and gas. Most importantly, we were able to work within our schedule and not based on when the big retailers will have their sods available.

Had some questions to ask about whether sod would be able to be laid on a sandy base after removing pavers and the gentleman who answered the phone was very helpful in answering my questions. Decided to have them come and provide topsoil and install sod for us. They were able to get us in on short notice and completed the job quickly and professionally. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the person who came to install the sod but he was a black gentleman who came and did a great job (kudos to him!). He explained how to take care of the sod, how to water, when to fertilize, etc. Now it's been just over 2 weeks and everything is growing nicely and the lawn is looking great. Thanks again!

We ordered sod for two properties. One is completely dead and the other one about one-third dead within weeks of install. We followed exact care instructions but sod was poor quality . BC Instant Lawns would not respond to our concern. Look for a supplier that offers customer service. This is my lawn 3 weeks after sod was laid. Regarding bc instant lawn reply - complaint was made in November and we waited until January for a response which never came.
