I am writing this after just stopping at the Gardener’s Center and Florist yesterday, 09/25/2019. In brief: I shopped from 10AM-3PM for Autumn and Holiday (Halloween, Dia de Los Muertos, Thanksgiving, etc...). They have such a diverse and interesting plant selection that I could have easily shopped until they closed. The plants were well placed, identified, healthy and strong. The facility was very surprisingly clean, especially considering their forte is with plants in dirt. The crew: Dan, Chip, Nathan, Jaime, Joy, Inez, and the incomparable Lauren were so wonderfully helpful. Dan’s knowledge and charming nature was such a lovely and rare thing to find today. All of the gentlemen were so pleasant and professional. They made it such an extraordinary visit. That could be one of the reasons I was there for so long, although I did buy a bit. If you have any concerns about lifting or carrying heavy dirt filled plant containers there is no need. The gentlemen will do all of that for you. You just have to point. The outside is really just as nice as the inside. They filled up my car and even offered to deliver it for me. I would have taken thrir kind offer but I really like going there, A LOT. And you will, too! They even have a section of past flowered plants, ferns, local wild flowers, etc...which is on sale 1/2 price. You cannot beat that. And inside they have a lovely section of thoughtful fun gifts that will save you from worrying and scratching your head for days! I absolutely had to have this “new” magnetized floating succulent/air plant vase which I am unfortunately gifting my sweetheart for his work for taking me and my best friend to our 3-week/3 Hawai’ian island holiday!!! Oh well, I will just have to buy another the next time I go. The Gardener’s Center and Florist is a Garden/Floral center of the highest calibre. I do recommend you wear comfy shoes and a bottle of water so you can stay longer because I know you are going to want to do just that!

This shop is AMAZING. I’m a little bit of a houseplant collector and I was SO IMPRESSED by their knowledge and collection. Ask for Joy, she is one of the best nursery managers I have ever seen. You can tell they truly care about their plants, which is super important. Too many plant shops around me only care about the profit, but Joy is so knowledgeable. It was refreshing to find a place like this in the suburbs. I brought some first time plant owners with me and Joy worked with them to pick the perfect plant. I can’t rave enough about this shop. If you are into house plants, GO HERE. JOY IF YOU’RE READING THIS, YOU ARE AMAZING.

I stopped in based on some recommendations and was so glad I did. They have a wonderful selection of healthy houseplants (including some not-so-common types). The staff is all extremely friendly and helpful, too. I'll definitely be making return trips here.

The Gardener's Center is my go-to place for ordering bouquets and other arrangements, plus annuals, perennials, and all other plants. I'm particularly keen on their transition to organics, and alternatives to toxic pesticides for lawn and garden care. What a relief not to find Roundup and other toxins at this retail store.

I ordered, from out of state, a gift of a planted container. Lauren, who does the container design, was attentive, helpful and responsive. She sent numerous pictures of the containers, the plant possibilities, and seemed committed to putting together something I was going to be happy with. She made the delivery herself, and help with the placement and included helpful info about the plants. If you want something special, not cookie-cutter, something custom, it seems like you'd be able to get that here.

The Gardeners Center is my favorite place to buy indoor and outdoor plants, or just to go and browse on the weekend. Staff is helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The high-quality plant selection is wide and healthy, and they have a nice assortment of ornamental sculptures and glazed pots. The indoor store also has nice gift items, especially at Christmas. They have a small menagerie of resident pet birds, a couple of easygoing nursery cats, and a German shepherd named Anna who loves to play tug-of-war with her favorite rope toy. The vibe is neighborly and laid-back.

obsessed with this nursery! its so beautiful and they have a greater selection of indoor plants than any other nursery i’ve visited in lower fairfield county. tons of succulents, snake plants, and monsteras! This place is absolutely incredible. The staff, particularly Joy, is phenomenal and so helpful. I brought my indoor plant for a “check up” because she seemed a little down, and Joy was happy to help (even though she was swamped with Mother’s Day orders!!). They also have an incredible selection of indoor and outdoor plants/flowers, plus tons of succulents and beautiful crystals!! I can’t recommend this place enough.

I drove past this place on numerous occasions after they were already closed but I told myself I had to see what kind of houseplants they have. I’m so happy I finally got to go inside. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. It’s very clean and they have the largest variety of rare houseplants. I would give them ten stars if I could. Please go and support them, it’ll be worth turning into that parking lot. You won’t want to leave.

Just went here for the first time. Every single employee acknowledged me and was friendly. They also have so many plant starting things in stock, which is helpful since a lot of places don’t .. I highly recommend this place. And a big plus are their pets! A cockatiel, parrot, koi fish, and dog! :)

I needed flowers for an Open House at my job. Jaime helped walk me through different styles/ideas for the event and was able to answer all of my questions. The flowers were delivered on time and were absolutely stunning! We received many compliments on them throughout the day and the bouquets lasted for almost an entire month! DEFINITELY worth it! The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful in getting me to success in finding the specific house plant I wanted. On my first visit, they didn't have the size but told me a shipment was on the way. On my second visit, when I thought the new one was too short, they offered to raise it up with a foam base in my pot. On my third visit, a different person did just that and I'm looking at a gorgeous plant in my office as I write this. I've had consistently positive experiences at Gardener's Center, plus their stock is always healthy and beautiful.

This place is beyond rude! I called to ask if they put wreathes on the car they said yes. So after going in and picking out a wreath and bow for close to $30 the young kid uses one piece of wire to tie it to the car needless to say the wreath blew off the next day. When going to pay for the wreath the woman misunderstood me and basically was trying to make me seem like I’m incapable of putting a bow on a wreath. I went back the day the wreath came off and the kid who put it on was very apologetic and go approval from the manager to give me a new one however they said I needed to come back Monday. I just went back and the guy Dan was extremely rude and basically threw a wreath and bow at me and said here’s your new stuff. When I asked would he be putting it on he said no they aren’t meant to be on cars. My question is why offer these services then? I’ve spent a lot of money at this place but will never ever return!

I really have enjoyed working with Jamie at the Garden Center. She is creative and thoughtful about all the arrangements that she has done for me. Additionally, she does all of the work for the church that I attend. Jamie has done some outstanding work that deserve high praise.
