PP was contracted to pave our Community Hall Parking lot. The drain was installed wrong twice and they went ahead with it anyway. The finished job should have been flush with the surrounding area. The parking lot was a blank canvas. If the installed drain was lower they could go down as far as they wanted without a problem and slop everything correctly. They're solution was to raise the parking lot. They couldn't raise the sidewalk though, which flooded when it rained. The problem was so obvious and I pointed it out and showed them with a hose while the were still on the property. Ron said they would come back and make it right. They created a ditch where the car is that should have been paved to the edge. They raised the field side so much the water runs to the sidewalk side of the lot instead of going down the middle. One of their suggestions was to pave over the sidewalk and build it up to hide the problem. So the band aid they put on it was a trench drain that goes half way down the sidewalk, which I had to clean the pavement out of. Since there wasn't much of a slope at the other end, when they dug it up and filled it in it flattened out. Now the water puddles at the bottom of the back door ramp. I requested disability approved/pedestrian grates. They installed 1/2" and 3/4" grates in front of the front door where our disability parking is. Those grates can trap wheel chairs, walkers, canes, high heeled shoes, etc. The satisfaction guarantee only means if they are satisfied not the customer. The driveways that I set them up with turned out just fine.
