Nice enough staff and decently priced stock, though they don't rotate their mattresses often enough it seems. Went in the other day for something else after I got my mattress elsewhere. Staff member I talked to immediately launched into buyer's remorse tactics to make me wanna return my mattress and come back to them. Despite explaining things after lots of research and second opinions from other stores, the staff member kept shaking their head at me as if I was completely wrong with what I got, insisting what I could've had was the best possible (Even if it didn't suit my needs, or was a type of bed that lacked benefits the one I got had). This was alongside trying to say other stores "buy in bulk" and somehow that makes the beds lower quality, despite the one the staff tried to show me was from the same brand, same product line, same QUALITY line, just a slightly better version? Bulk somehow doesn't turn the same bed elsewhere into a mattress of potatoes! They were accommodating and friendly enough despite all this, but it left an overall underwhelming impression on things

Excellent, customer centric approach makes this place a great shopping experience. Was shopping for one quality memory foam pillow. Tried several varieties of pillows before making the purchase, unlike in a department store where you can't try before purchase. I got two for the price of one due to a promotion. Overall very happy.

The sales rep Cory has been excellent to deal with, friendly, knowledgeable and humorous. Helped steer us towards the perfect bed, offered a very competitive price and set up delivery. Delivery staff where prompt and friendly. We have had some issues with the bed covers, but Cory was quick to remedy the problem. I`m not usually one to shop a box store, preferring to research and purchase on my own, but I`m duly impressed with the staff, selection and price here. TL:DR Would recommend, awesome store.

From the time we walked in the store till we got our new bed (1 week!!) our experience was perfect. They had appropriate covid protocols in place that allowed us to try the different options. We love our new bed, my body doesn’t hurt, and we sleep so peacefully! Highly recommend.

Staff were friendly and informative. Some products are very expensive. Metal Bedframes were not the nicest quality for the price. There is a good selection of beds to try but unsure of how they garentee such a long warranty and how it can be utilized when the matress starts to fail before the end of the warranty.

We have only dealt with Rick at Sleep Country for some time now and he is nothing short of amazing. As are the manufacturers on our beds and pillows. We had a bed replaced last year under warranty, Rick was fantastic during the entire process as was the manufacturer. We just bought another bed for our guest room today as well as new pillows, again Rick was helpful as ever. They truly care about your quality of sleep and are not there to just make a quick sale, or sell you on the most expensive items. Their prices also beat Dodds, The Brick and Costco out of the park by a long shot. The other stores couldn't even come close to the savings we just got at Sleep Country today. Thanks again Rick, there is a reason we only deal here!

Over the years we have dealt with a variety of Sleep Country stores in BC and each time, without exception, we have received excellent service. Recently we had to buy a new mattress for my 92 year old father. We live on the Island and he lives in the lower mainland, and having dad select a mattress was not an option. We visited Sleep Country, this time in Courtenay and once more, received excellent service. Thank you Rick.. dad is very happy with the new mattress

won't buy a mattress here ever again....have had mine for 4 years and it started getting big lumps in it after a couple of years of owning it....you can't flip it over, only rotate it end to end ...has a 10 year warranty which they won't honor because of some minor staining and are blaming it on the lumps...i am now stuck with an uncomfortable bed and a sore back for who knows how long as i can't afford a new bed and my only option is maybe a foam topper or something....a bed should last at least 10 years before you need to buy a new one....very disappointed

He looked up our information, asked us very relevant questions, answered any of our questions, showed us a few beds and within 30 minutes we had a new bed on the way, and at an excellent price! My experience with the staff has always been very pleasant and they have always been helpful, but I do have a general complaint. My complaint is that the sleep country location in Courtenay, BC, doesn't have a wheelchair access button for the door, and when I asked if they had considered installing one, I was told the landlord of the building refused to install one because it cost too much. Very disappointing.

We were amazed with the fabulous service we received at sleep country Canada. The representative on duty (I think his name was Rick), was so informative and helpful, without being pushy. He showed us beds within our price range and helped us get fully set up with everything we needed. He also organized delivery for us, which we were lucky to lock in with short notice. We ended up adding a number of accessories to our order and Rick gave us a nice discount. Would absolutely recommend going to sleep country Courtenay if you’re looking to invest in a new bed!

Good advice and help from the salesman. Felt CoOVID safe in the store with precautions in place. Delivery scheduled and occured as planned. Efficient, courteous set-up, though the bed was hard as rock due to the weather. We had to warm it up for 24 hours before using it. Why only 4 stars? The sale came with a delayed option to buy bedding at a discount. Two weeks after the bed arrives, if we don't return it, we can go back to the store and get bedding at a But since we were moving from a queen to a king, we needed the bedding at delivery so we had to buy them without the discount. We felt somewhat distrusted. Were we scheming to buy a bed, get it delivered, and then return it - just to get the discount on bedding? How many people would do that? IMO you should take the risk. Or, you could credit our payment card with the discount after the two weeks. Something should be possible even if you don't trust us.

I was very disappointed with Sleep Country. I purchased a single bed mattress one of their more expensive ones. I advise the salesman at the time it was going on at hospital bed that lifts and bends , he said all mattresses are good for that. I noticed after two months of purchase date there’s a large sag in the middle of the mattress where it bends in the hospital bed. I reported to the Courtenay store they gave me a claim number I got an email with a claim form. The form required it to be on a box spring which I told them at the time of purchase it was not it required him to be on a bedframe I advised at the time of purchase that it was a hospital bed frame. Im very disappointed of not being able to deal with somebody locally where I purchased the mattress it’s very disappointing I did not get a resolution and now have a $700 single bed mattress that has a large dip in the middle.

Only ever had bad experiences with Sleep Country purchases. A Mattress we bought several years ago tore on both sides (no, I'm not that heavy, but the tear was caused by me rotating my sleep position using my elbows - never had this happen before ot since). It was replaced after a lot of hassle (photos etc) with a $4000 mattress that went all lumpy and useless after 4 years. A major negative for me is the fact that none of their mattresses "flip", only rotate, which must be a cost saving exercise as many of the manufacturers make flippable ones too. When I enquired about flipping, the salesman gave me some speil about it being needed for warranty and then walked away, sensing no commission was on the table I guess, but lack of flippability is just a cost saving exercise. I eventually bought a fliippable mattress, for less money, made by the same manufacturer from an independent store less than 1 Km away from Courtenay Sleep country branch. Do your research folks, there's better choices if you look.

I had to get a new bed and Sleep Country was the place to go. I had a great experience in getting another one a year before with their Sales Associate, Rick, in Courtenay. I do find that I sleep better but to warm on the Blanche matteress. I have had to make adjustments to the bed linens I use, to allow me to be cooler. In all I really would say that the "Blanche" was the way to go for me and the husband, OH......and the dogs love it. :)
