You have all the opinions of real people who are buying the services of Real Canadian Superstore (Gardener) in the area close to Courtenay (Canada).
As of day the firm has a rating of 3.9 out of 5 and that score was based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average of ratings is positive, and it's founded on a very large number of feddbacks, so we can be pretty sure that the score is very reliable. If there are many people who bothered to value when they are satisfied with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to write reviews when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Gardener is classified in the category of Grocery store.
best place in fort mac to buy your groceries. best prices huge selection friendly staff and clean building.
It's an awesome place so shop
It have really good and nice workers
Really nice collection of items, have everything you would need and is the perfect location to buy daily essentials, food, deli, bakery or anything else you would need.
Finally i got Asian groceries in Fort McMurray. Thanks to Superstore!
Good selection. Good hours
Affordable and lots of lactose free and gluten free options
shopping at this Superstore for as long as I can remember. Although the price of meat has gone up immensely I do believe that's from the pandemic and not a direct reflection of the store itself. One stop shop for anything you may need.
It's a superstore good service and helpful staff
Typical super store. This could easily be a 5 or a 1 depending on how you like big stores. They did help me out and we're good about it and I give them points for that.
Take taxpayers money for their fridges, then trample their rights.
A great clean and bright store very helpful lots of selection great visit thank you all Ron McCormack
Starting to get very disappointed with this store and seriously questioning weather I will be back. As of late I have been that annoying customer that has to question the poor cashier regarding clearance items (not just misplaced items but full caselot of products). But today I went in to exchange my water bottle (Canadiab Spring) to be told that any I have at home must be returned for refund of deposit before the 9Th of this month so now I have z bottle of this in my cooler currently and unsure if I will be done it in the 7 days but I cant take for return to the bottle depot as it it must be done via the retailer that Carrie's said water. Ok so now I could quite possibly be out the $10 so I get the deposit back on today's purchase the new Oasis brand to see an increase of over 1.50 and told I now own this new bottle from a new company same deposit what is happening. Usef to be a decent place to shop reasonable prices ,but appears this is a thing of the past.
Best prices in town for bulk shopoing since we don't have a Costco. Happy that they use optimum points but disappointed with the way they convert them in compared to how it used to work.
Good prices and love that I can earn point to go towards getting free items
Fresh veges, fruits, all kind of food..good price,clean..good customer service
Good value for your money.
Generally clean and have a variety of goods. Layout is decent, and stock is comparable to other stores in town.
None of the associates were particularly helpful or even cheerful. Aeran, a cashier, was the only employee that made an effort to help by answering a question I asked aloud to myself. I did find the lotion I wanted...although I had to move the empty plastic display containers to reach the (top) shelved product.
A well located in the heart of Downtown FMM
Ginormous! Loads of things to choose from and I love my options!!!
Good selection compared to other stores in town
Always friendly and helpful staff
Awesome store everything you'll need
Bit cold hurts by fire but we are strong and rebuild fort mcmurray.Best place salary wise good people.Beautiful place among small hilly area.Real enjoin to live and work here.
This is my favourite grocery store. I love the expansive bakery and natural food aisle. A lot of vegan & organic options!
Canada's largest grocery store....one of the many products from the stables of LOBLAWS....proud to be a 'colleague'...... Smart store, smart people, great products...
I came in to try and get some quick change for parking at the college. The self check out does not take cash. I had to line up behind several people at one of the 3 open tills to purchase 1 item. I asked the cashier for toonies while her till was open. She must have misunderstood or not heard me because she took out loonies. I tried to correct her but she had already closed her till. I then had to wait at customer service for an attendant to change my loonies to toonies. The customer service counter attendant was confrontational and argumentative towards me. She did not directly argue with me however she kept insisting that the girl at the check out lane knew the difference between loonies and toonies. I really could not care less if the girl knew the difference between loonies and toonies. I just wanted to get some change quickly for parking at the college. This trip was not quick at all and I probably would have had better luck getting change quickly at one of the other grocery stores or convenience stores. I doubt I will be going back to this super store any time soon.
Large variety of options and has nearly everything you need. Overall great place.
Extremely disappointed in company decision to charge $10.00 water bottle deposit then state they will not honor/return said deposits they have collected.
Love this store as everything is cheaper than most grocery stores around here. However, most workers are rude.
Good
Everything you need in one store.
They were handing out Free samples
Great store with awesome price.if you spend over 250$ you get a gift????????????
Good buys
Good customer service and great prices. The only thing needs improvement is vegetables and fruits quality. Fruits get rotted within 2 days and sometimes half of the package contains fruits in poor conditions.
It's a superstore. It has superstore things. 'nuff said
This is a place to buy all your groceries and household needs, affordable and reliable. I have had lots of good days here, a few bad shopping stories but I still give them 5 *****...
Huge store, great selection of produce and grocery. Extremely busy at all times, always see someone yelling or arguing around checkout or customer service. I would stay away during peak times as its extremely difficult to navigate safely. Parking lot is a mess.
Great prices for the products you NEED!
Great staff great offers
Should have auto teller take cash
Stock was low and prices on meats very high left and went to another store almost $5 cheaper a kg on beef
I just have to say this is a lovely store I love shopping there...
Good place to shop.
Probably the best store in Fort Mac for the overall lowest prices but it is a bigger store so more people to deal with. Not as quick in and out. It has a good selection on items plus you can build points on your savings card.
Great ???? customer service
Disgusting dirty filthy I refuse to step foot in there unless I must
Cashier was fast and friendly.
Expect the unspected, while shopping here. Over time I've seen vehicle damage in yhe parking lot to people approaching you with stolen stuff to feed there addictions. Plan ahead. Expect long lines ups on even the slowest of days.
They have everything u need all in one store n that's makes me very happy I go 3-4 times a day n it's in a great area n not to far for me to walk with my disabilities
I like the reorganization of the aisles and the addition of new foods. It’s a very clean store and polite hard working employees everywhere to assist you if needed. Since it’s a small town and there aren’t many places to shop it’s a convenience to go here for your groceries. Would recommend.
Best price & quality
We come here most weekends for our grocery shopping because the prices are good when they can be verified. However, we find we really need to double check prices of things to make sure they are as they appear. I added a couple examples from within the first few minutes of being in the store this morning. We find this is the trend all the time and often I need to convince the employees that their misleading pricing needs to be addressed. They're losing money as a result.
Good place for groceries. Customer assistants are available with great service
Great one stop shop, this store has everything you need in one stop. In down town Fort McMurray Alberta
On the vegetable section there is no price on many items also on the fruit section terrible place. I always leave confused trying to find the price.
Prices are usually pretty good here. It's not my favorite place to do groceries in town. .....why? Maybe how it is all sorted. Or lack of stock sometimes with the odd thing. Over all. It's ok and not bad :)
Great
Good customer service
Keep it up in customer service
Always overcrowded anytime any day of the week, and be careful where you park because hit and runs happen in that parking lot every single day. But it's pretty much the only place in town to buy reasonably priced groceries, so you just grit your teeth and go. 4 stars just for the prices.
Amazing selection of products
Always love shopping here Friendly customer service great pc offers great variety
My favorite grocery store... always good deals and excellent to collect point's
Well stocked but extremely busy all the time. It is like a zoo trying to get around.fairly neat and tidy especially given the volume.
An amazing variety of grocery products.
Good store. You'll find everything yu need here
Forced masks to enter. Enough is enough I will not purchase or enter this store until it is made optional.
Got my vaccine here!!
The name "Real Canadian Superstore" was only built in Canada. That's it. Theres absolutely disregard anything that has to do with Canada and our local farmers. And the sell unthawed produce that is unfit for their gouging prices. Shame on you. False advertising and I will live to sue your company for this alone. False advertising
This location seems to be improving over the past few years. Was pretty quiet when we went and we were able to find everything that we were looking for. Additionally, the check out process was pretty quick. They have quite a few self check out stations if you need to zip in and out.
nice
Great variety, good prices
I guess I didnt have a choice but to love the only superstore we have in Fort McMurray.. Never had issues shopping here...
Best deals in town for many products. Speciality items are also cheaper than at other stores. Greater variety of items than anywhere else. Good in house sushi counter. Best place to shop when on a budget and worth reading the weekly flyers
My favorite grocery store in town, though that's not saying much. I've been keeping track of prices for my common consumables (deodorant, shampoos, pop, meat, cleaning supplies, etc) and downtown superstore is usually a wide margin cheaper in most things, second only to walmart. I try to avoid other Loblaw's stores, such as "Your Independent Grocer" in Timberlea, as their prices are around 10-15% more despite being the exact same brand's. Downtown Superstore is a no-frills grocery shopping place with a doctors office and a jewelry store inside. Watch out for the flooding parking lot. It happens. A lot.
On sep. 11th 2021. At roughly 1:40pm . The woman in charge of the self checkout line was really rude. I asked for help using the terminal regarding a discounted item. She ripped the item out of my hand then started training someone on how to use the terminal. During that time they came into my personal bubble and we are in the time of covid so this put my health at risk
One stop shop and reasonable prices
Well organized.
Nice and clean and found all I needed.
Best place to go for groceries.
Not sure why it's super. They've changed everything and now I don't know where anything is.
Its usually very well stocked for dried good, but produce lacks a bit in quality. And online pick-up i find is good, next to they don't really check for quality of the produce they pick at all!
Best produce in FMM outside the summer farmers market. Clean, organized aisles and great product selection. Also probably the best place to buy bulk items in town. Don't forget your loonie for the coin carts.
I used to love shopping here and I ended up moveing up town. I just recently moved closer to the downtown area and decided to come back and over all it was good. Sence this virus broke out all the stores including this one seam to be doing a great job untill I went to by a case of water yesterday and it cost me 10$ that's with the deposit. Not impressed on how that price got jacked up over night seams to be alittle taken advantage of this virus. I will also say this, normally this store has the best pricing over everyone in town so I was very shocked when i got to the till and it was that much. Untill I see that water go back down in price I will be keeping this 2 stare rating.
Spacious. Great prices. Multiple checkout lanes.
Best grocery store in Fort Mcmurray. Compared to save on, independent superstore is super cheap. You get the same products for a much lower price from here. ????
their parking lot needs alot of attention!
Whoever is in charge of reorganizing the store needs to be fired immediately
They're cheaters for the price. Example some items are and when it comes for the checkout selling you the original price or over charge you or double scan. Watch out pay attention for the cashiers. Don't trust them
Poor customer service. Poor quality produce. Informed the store manager who in turn said "Sorry to hear that" and hung up.
Superstore is way better because in this store everything is much cheaper for me. Employees actually does their job unlike walmart employees.
Nice huge store. Well laid out.
Lots in the store and safety walls are up safe place to hope for grocery
A great place for all your home needs. Always clean and nice prices of the products.
Pretty good store. Could be quicker with the customer service but it has a wide selection and the best Asian isle in town.
Best prices in town but brutally congested and never have enough staff on checkout. They don't bag your groceries either which is annoying when they're shoving the next persons groceries into yours implying you should hurry up. Needing a loonie for your cart is also inconvenient. I think they do it so homeless people don't take the carts across town.. Then again homeless people probably wouldn't hang around there hustling people for loonies if there were no loonie carts...
Fair pricing. Great place to shop for groceries
Perfect for the budget to save. Cheaper price.
Like any other grocery store
Kinnar Patel, you should cross-shop better. Nobody has a price guarantee on every item. If Best-Buy has better prices on something, then shop there. It's not SuperStore's responsibility to price check around town for you!
Affordable and convenient shopping, employees on the floor are not always helpful.
Yesterday I went shopping at Superstore in Fort McMurray, Alberta looking for organic veggies and fruits. I was so grateful to find a wide selection of organic and/or free trade options. The prices were reasonable and the quality was exceptional! Well done! And thank you for giving my kids a healthy, natural alternative to the genetically modified food-like substances which are on the market now.
Well it's hard to beat the prices here, especially cause it's Fort McMurray. However I hate having to shop here, it's not a nice place to shop, everyone is in a rush, way to crowded and there are serious problems with the fruit and vegetables. The quality check isn't there and even though they will mark down returned or molding items it should be at least reduced to 50% off because there's barely 50% of the fruit edible anymore. Also the PC points system is quite pathetic.
Easily the worst super store IV ever been into in all of Alberta and IV been to over 6 wow was I shocked in the chaos in organization they don't even have an organic row most superstores have a minimum of one some have 3 what a joke.
Everything a human being needs can be found in this place. A truely SUPER store. Very organized as well
Did the order on line pick up service for groceries :) awesome.
Good
I had THE most horrible experience with the management in the store. Every other employee that works on the main floor and are having constant interactions with customers are so well mannered and happy to do their jobs. And then you have a problem that needs to be explained to you by a management representative named Coleen and everything starts going downhill. Yes I understand that the customer could have been wrong in the situation, BUT when you’re in a position of management you should be treating the customer with respect and understanding. I was greeted with and annoyed face that was basically screaming at me “what do you want and why did you make me come down here” like I’m sorry ma’am that I was unsure about something and you had to come down to explain it. SECONDLY, you have the audacity to roll your eyes, turn your back and practically tell me I’m ungrateful and inconsiderate?? Uhm I’m sorry but I’m pretty sure you’re in a position of management and even IF the customer is being tough to handle you should be able to keep your cool. I understand if you were having a rough day to begin with because I know that not everyday can be good, all I’m suggesting is maybe some customer service training for the management because maybe they’re just uninformed and need a refresher.
Sullen and petulant customer service. The woman Daxa who was "helping" at Self-Checkout was openly rude. Little attempt at order or even basic cleanliness.
Happy with the selection and variety of items available. Excellent location for shopping. Large parking lot. Fair reasonable prices. Love the pc points card system. Some staff Could try to be a bit more friendly.
Some of the sales items could be a bit tricky you have to buy two of the items to get the discount.
I always shop on this store. It offers a variety of products at very satisfactory price. The goods are perfectly organized! cool.
This location had underground heated parking, which is great for the times that you need to the your windshield washer fluid lines ???? Joanne at the desk " borrowed me " a dollar for the car... So kind ???? friendly staff, clean store. I'll be back.
Do not work here (if Only when its your first part time but not for a long term). cashiers and some of the staffs are well mannered but the upper management and the customer, they treat you like a complete trash. just saying
Love the improvements of wider aisles and natural foods section. Disappointed in the number of people not wearing masks!
It has everything you need but sometimes a little messy especially around the eggs and dairy section
I am a very disappointed customer and after a terrible experience at this store I will not likely shop there again. I visited the Superstore on my November 8th, 2017 to buy a few groceries before meeting my fiancee for a birthday dinner. When I got checked in at the cash, the young male cashier asked if I had PC points. I have been a loyal PC customer for over 10yrs, utilizing their banking and credit card services. Before I had a chance to scan my card he told me there was an issue and the screen was telling him that I could not scan my card and a member was already signed in. He was unable to fix this issue, so he called a supervisor who promptly came over. She asked him if he had scanned the previous customer's card, he said he was unsure. She spoke to another employee then proceeded to tell me I could no longer use my credit card for PC points. I am aware of the transition from PC to Simplii financial, however I had about $80 in points that I wanted to use. I asked her how I was going to get my points from my current $100+ purchase, she tried to sign me up with a PC points card, but was unsuccessful. She told me I would need to go to customer service. I picked up my giant bag of dog food and heavy grocery bag that I had strategically packed myself and followed her, she did not offer to assist. At customer service I was told the computer was prompting them to verify my e-mail, I asked how that could be, when I had not scanned my card yet. The lady then called the cashier who I'd initially been dealing with who finally fessed up that he had scanned his personal PC points card prior to dealing with me. This made no sense because there was a customer right before me, I'm not sure when he found the time to do this, unless he was actually trying to steal my PC points and thought I would not put up a fight. The lady at customer service told this employee he was on probation and should not be checking his personal card while he has customers. Then the lady told me I would need to re-scan all of my items at the self check in, she took my bag and brought it over, then did this for me. However, once everything was re-scanned she left all of my items spread out everywhere and told me I would need to re-bag it myself. I was disgusted with the customer service. I also tried to send an e-mail to let them know so something could be done and their website doesn't allow you to send in complaints. I'm not sure how they plan to improve their issues when they don't allow customers to give feedback. I tried a dozen times and it was unsuccessful each time. Save on foods customer services = 1 million times better. It's a night and day difference.
Their prices are incredible and sourdough bread made in store is the BEST!! ????
Best selection of groceries in fort Mac ...best bang for buck to... Presidents choice line of groceries is very good quality ..when I come to work up here I always do my shopping at the super store ....
It's okay, nothing special besides the prices. Some of the staff are very nice and helpful. Would shop again based on customer service at the time and prices
Different product selection good variety of meats and cheeses. Good to go at off times when it's not very busy. Also you'll need a loonie for a cart. Steakon is really thick bacon a force to be reckoned with.
Love the prices. The selection is great as well.
I'm new to this area and find This place is great for all your home needs. Prices are better then other stores in the area, lots of staff and store is clean, bright and well laid out. Plenty of free parking available
I was in the washroom and one of the cashiers came out directly from the toilet without bothering washing his hands. I wonder how many do the same!
Huge selection
I like to eat. They sell food. I cooked it. It was good.
Has most of what we want with decent prices
Excellent service and well stocked despite the huge customer base it serves.
Clean, fair prices for products.
The prices are good but produce, meat etc is hit and miss for freshness. I almost always find something out of date on the shelves. The fish department needs help. The smell is overwhelming.
I've always loved superstore but they need more enforcement of covid 19 by-laws
2 stars because for the love of God please clean up your parking lot. It looks like a landfill throughout the year. Disgusting.
Nice Supermarket
Cheapest grocery store in town, especially if you buy bulk stuff. Unfortunately every single week I shop here I have an issue with with my click and collect as in they are out of something, or I'm given expired products. Sometimes I even buy meat and it says it expires in a few days and open the pack to discover it'd spoiled. This week I bought a pack of Persimmon and the amount of pesticides on it was just awful I couldn't continue eating it, and I was given applesauce that expired 3 months ago! I want so badly to love this store but it's getting very disappointing. I love the PC plus program but I'm not saving money if I have to discard thing or spend more gas money to go a second time and return stuff. As expensive as they are I think I'm ready to exclusively switch to Save on Foods; I'm never disappointed with their store.
New layout. Bright and clean.
The best grocery store at Fort Mcmurray.
Well maintained, always has sufficient cashiers, helpful produce clerk spacious and good with maintaining covid protocol
Large selection of products at good prices. Just disappointing when sale items are sold out.
This is a great place to shop.
Cheapest groceries and decent quality at any of the real cdn superstores
Really good sales and selection.
Good selection. Good fruit and veg.
Large selection of goods and great service at a good cost. The only complaint I have is how busy it tends to be on some days.
I buy weekly groceries from here. Inexpensive comparatively to other stores around. I feel often the staff is not friendly. Self weigh system do not work. I still recommend.
Hands down best prices in town for many items! Preferred grocery store ????
Huge selection of goods. Good ethnic food selection. They do a pretty good job of staffing the check out tills if things get busy.
Always prefer to shop from Super Store
Asked for help and the lady said I don't know where it's at and walked away
Great customer service staff are always friendly and the manager is like a friendly giant very understanding of myself who is a disabled adult
The groceries are good. Fresh produce, lots of selection, but sometimes the staff is hard to deal with
Great supermarket with food products from around the world. They also offered better prices than other supermarkets. They also offer clothing and home sections.
Disgusted to find out i sent instacart to shop here for me spending $400 and superstore refused to give them the free gift they offer in flyer...why because I paid instacart for the groceries the lady i spoke to on the phone said, so I geuss shes saying the lady from instacart walked in there and took $400 in groceries without paying superstore? What an excuse obviously they paid for my groceries so why then weren't they given the free gift? Last time I shop there.
It's always a gong show at this place. It's usually other customers driving the carts dangerously or ignoring the personal space thing. But I love the clothes. And we get a lot of our groceries there (because there's a lot of dairy free options there). Also, I am not put off by homeless folks normally. We don't typically carry change- but some of them want to take your cart back for your dollar, which is fine- but it would be nice if the parking lot was lit up better so they're not sneaking up on unsuspecting customers.
Pretty average grocery store. Staff aren't helpful at all. Had several problems with the staff not understanding/speaking very much English and it's been hard to get proper help. The store it self is adequately clean. Lot of stuff in the wrong place and sometimes can be messy in some areas. Just a nothing thing the staff should be focused on. The one good thing is that the store has great prices. So it equals out a bit. Its not a great store, but it's not awful either.
Super friendly staff, and absolutely gigantic selection. every Asian desert you cant think of, really awesome place and will almost always have what you need. Tho, there is a weird process for packing your stuffs at the end you will find out when you go there
It is great to be able to find everything I need and explore stuff I don't
Always happy when I go shopping there.
Hands down the most economical place to shop. Cashiers are always nice and friendly. Customer service desk staff are often rude and unfriendly.
Good store, lots of grocery items for relatively great prices! Love the self check out stations!
Location has so many missing items. Always running out of Gatorade... always running out of soup... Always running out of coffee cream... Every time I go in there my first thought is maybe they will have what I want today.. MAYBE!
fruits are not that fresh as save on foods and independent...but rest evrything is good..in budget
Love the prices nice variety just not a fan of crowds this place is always busy
Fast to go through in and out.
????customer service
Superstore is Superstore The staff where very helpful when the not cashier wouldn't accept my bank card
I get things with affordable price
Im local to Fort Mcmurray my whole life and I used to shop here all the time. Lately though ive been exploring other options because Ive seen bugs on the fruits and vegetables and worms in their fish. Just recently I went to buya live lobster from this establishment but decided against it because there were several dead lobster in each tank tank that was overflowing with lobster and they all had a blue tinge around their extremities. I decided to just purchase a few frozen lobster tail because they were on sale and there were two in a pack. Upon arriving home I decided to split the tails and bake them. The first tail was tiny with little to no meat and the second tail was absolutely discusting. It was rotten inside, the meat was black and dark green and you could tell that the lobster the tail was taken from must have been dead for awhile. If this is the kind of business this store offers then I will never be going back.
It's the Mac there isn't anything that great here but compared to what is here it's kind of one of the best things going
Always good in veggies and dairy products. Every week they have a deal with your purchase, don't forget to check store flyers.
Fantastic selection and choice. Store was clean and staff were helpful
Easy to find the things you need. Great customer service and friendly staff.
Best place to shop grocery's.
Best prices. Good selection, except limit vegetables selection if come in the evenings. All registers open every weekend for fast checkout.
Was in there at the end of the day, to quickly buy a couple items. They were about to close. A lady followed me around right behind me the whole time! Like I was a shoplifter... there were several people that came to the register after me and I left way before them. Maybe she was security but she was way way way to overbearing and aggressive. I've been a good continuous customer at superstore for years, and they just lost my business from how she was treated that situation... if you want to feel like you're in prison while shopping. Shop at the Real Canadian superstore in Fort mcmurray!!!
Very close ????
Its superstore if you ain't ever been well its just a cheaper Walmart
Some of the best prices in FM but the produce stocking is poor. Had to stop at another store on my way home for something simple like tomatoes or bananas.
This is one of my favourite grocery stores in town. It has lots of variety and fresh high quality produce compared to other stores that may have less fresh greens. It also has an excellent selection of meats and fish. If you want various ethnic or other world foods you can find it here one or two rows away from the Mac n cheese. Also has clothes and kitchen wares too although I don’t go to that side much.
Super busy, but can't hold that against them. Has a ton of groceries and household wares, pharmaceutical, and clothing. If you live downtown, this is a good place to shop.
Design could use a face-lift but overall everything else is great. Some of the best quality and service you can find.
Great customer service
This store in fort McMurray always out of stock for many things.. most of the time I visit this store I dont find the stuff I want.. Any thing in the flyer or deal you will never get the stock. Very disappointed.
Wonderful grocery items to pick from...
Not so clean prices are not clearly marked food is not put on shelves properly. Some fresh produce are mixed in with rotten produce.
Love using PC click and collect at this grocery store. Always top quality food picked by the employees. A+
Dirty cluttered store, isles packed with stock on pallets waiting to be put on the shelves. Empty shelves everywhere. Prices often don’t match the product and always seems to be mislabeled with a price that is actually cheaper than the real price. If you’re not watching when you go through the till, you will be charged too much. When you are overcharged, the staff plays dumb when you ask about the “Scanning Code of Ethics!” Also bill themselves as the “Real Canadian Superstore” but continue to sell second rate produce from other countries and seafood from everywhere but Canada. Canadians produce and harvest some of the best produce and seafood in the world! Why does Superstore continue to support other countries before our own?? Not enforcing public health order of a mask policy during a world wide pandemic. Many people wandering around the store without masks on.
Easy service fresh food
Good prices are good but shelves are usually running out of stuff
Great prices, however their lines are long at the till and the self check out is the most annoying machine ever. It prompts you for everything and really feels like it slows your checkout down. Safeway has a way better self serve. If you are like me and you just want to pay for your stuff and be out, go to Safeway.
Probably the best place to shop in the Mac other than maybe Walmart cause of their cheap prices. But this store had it all when I was staying downtown for a bit.
Parking lot is always flooded in springtime Usually crowded Long lineups, self checkout always requires assistance and does not accept cash, Produce /fruit is NOT fresh , summertime birds in rafters of store pose a health risk, seafood dept.is questionable Meat poor quality. Continuously relocating products.! Isles blocked with stock, Tip:Avoid garden shop! all flowers, plants, Christmas wreaths, trees I've purchased have extremely short lifespan & don't bloom with proper care Staff/management is not customer-orientedI.In general : nclean/untidy, high priced poor quality products. Security guards have proved themselves useless. Cashiers have given back incorrect change several times. On one occasion I had caught $15 over charged and then didn't even receive an apology. Bakery department proves to be a mystery as I have never once enjoyed the odor of freshly baked goodies, urchased a Frozen cheesecake t was freezer burned. Bathrooms ignored/ unstocked , shopping baskets filthy,, entrance carpets soaking wet in winter, etc........Tip: take advantage of any freebies they offe.Placed right next to the cash register is a daily special item. If she does not offer it to you, you're entitled it for free. & spend over $200 you're entitled to a free product that you must pick up by the cust servi counter before you leave store i (f you remember) I've received patio furniture hair products meat products.
Need to go in the early afternoon to get certain things that are not restocked later in the day. Super crowded too. But good prices.
so far so good
Good store, crowded on weekends.
I shop here every week because it is the cheapest place to go in Fort McMurray. That being said there are never carts in the cart bays. And if there are they are broken. I have a baby and running around the parking lot for 5 minutes trying to find a cart is not ideal. The same thing happened in the winter when I was 8 months pregnant trying to find a cart in -30 weather. They need more carts!
