Over the years we have made an annual visit to the gardens with our boys for tea. The fellas are 18 and 14 now. Our 18 year olds returned for a visit and the first thing they wanted to do was take a trip to Milner Gardens. It is a memory that will stay with them. It's an easy walk or shuttle. It's quiet, peaceful and beautiful. The charm of the house, the ladies serving and the beauty of the garden leaves you feeling refreshed and blessed

Every visit is a new delight. There is always something in bloom and the landscape is ever changing. The staff and volunteers are always ready to help. During covid, there is still a wonderful selection of items from the tea House available for takeout. The gift shop is open where you can purchase unique and thoughtful items. I cannot say enough about Milner Gardens and Woodlands.

Well worth a visit. A delicious high tea at a much more reasonable price than the big hotel in Victoria. Excellent accessibility. Suitable for groups.

Amazing Gardens and Old Growth Woodlands. 70 acres of Land with an impressive variety of native plant and animal life. A separate area is fenced in, and contains a beautiful variety of gardens,( flower, tree, shrubs, a water garden) Garden Shop, Teahouse (also serving Soup, Sandwiches, Scones and other delights) The Land was donated to the Vancouver Island University and is used for the study of native Flora and Fauna. Many areas recommended for artists and photographers. Shuttle service available from main gate to the Teahouse. Groups can be accommodated, call to make arrangements.

Some of the largest evergreens you'll ever see on Vancouver Island are on the Ancient Firs Boardwalk. Such a sight! A breathtaking experience. We also were lucky to see not one, but TWO owls sharing a branch along one of the trails. What a gift Milner Gardens is.

Milner Magic is a must see to take you back to Christmas past.

The park itself is quite spectacular. Labelled foliage helps to identify what you are looking at and very accessible paths help for mobility concerns. We had soup and scones with friends as well as high tea (a bit expensive for the quantity of food) but a very pleasant experience overall. Choose one or the other if eating there. The price of admission does not include the meal so be ready to part with a bit of cash for the whole experience.

Beautiful 70 acre coastal property. Disappointed in the advertised rhododendron blossoms at this time of visit. Very friendly volunteer staff. Self-guided walking, but a golf cart shuttle is available to help with distance from entry kiosk to gift shop and former residence, with tea room, on the ocean. Shorter walking paths, with several benches, back to shuttle pickup point. Nice afternoon excursion.

I just had my wedding at Milner Gardens. I will be forever grateful to all the wonderful people at the gardens that helped make an already special day perfect. Having a wedding during a pandemic is certainly not ideal but level of communication, service and most importantly follow through made everything work wonderfully. The location is stunning and the staff are delightful! Thank you all so much!

Milner Gardens is a beautiful historical property on Vancouver Island minutes from Qualicum Beach. You can stroll the grounds at your leisure or take the tram if you have small children or have difficulty walking. The gardens are bountiful and diverse. The main house located steps from the beach, The Camellia Tea Room is open in the summer until fall and take out is available. Children are free, youth prices are minimal, and reasonable for adults. This is a beautiful nature walk as a couple or for the entire family. If you are a gardener this beautiful historical site is a must visit.

Wander through. Tranquil forest trails to these beautiful gardens with rhododendrons and azaleas, lily of the valley and Solomon’s seal. And when you’ve stood and admired the amazing view across to the Sunshine Coast, head into the restaurant for tea and scones. All in all a lovely destination for a day trip. If there’s time and it fits your schedule take in the Saturday morning Farmers Market in Qualicum Beach as well.

Milner Gardens is a lovely mix of woodland and garden. The tearoom is a perfect blend of tasty treats and cozy atmosphere with it's mix-matched bone china.

Terry Ireland

Walking down the trail towards the tea house the flowers got better and better. Best time to come is in early May when all the rhododendrons are out. $10 per visit. In the tea room the the scones were not the English scones that we expected - $10 for tea and biscuits.

My husband and I were married here in 2009. Wouldn't have changed anything - what a gorgeous, intimate place to be married. Very kind and accommodating staff as well!

(Translated) Nice Christmas lights tour, where you can find Santa's house and have a cozy conversation. Beautiful place, beautiful people. The best time to visit is in the summer. (Original) Bonito recorrido de luces navideñas, donde puedes encontrar la casa de Santa y tener una acogedora conversación. Hermoso lugar, hermosas personas. El mejor momento para visitar es en el verano.

What a beautiful place to stop and smell the ultra fresh coastal air filtered through giant trees, mosses and ferns. The stroll along the paths were sometimes totally natural and sometimes totally manicured depending upon what area you were traveling through. There were fruit trees, flowers, towering pines and ocean vistas. There was Grandma’s Garden gift store as well as the fancy home now set up for events. Definitely recommend staying for a tour. 2 hours for a solid walk around or even linger longer and just enjoy the sights. For you birders I would add this to your trip. We saw all kinds of birds traveling up and down trees looking for a meal. Big cudos to all the volunteers we saw working in the gardens. Also we didn’t see one staff person who wasn’t accommodating and friendly.

Very enjoyable afternoon - yummy and scenic!! Plan a visit to coincide with Christmas Light Show - spectacular!!! But, parking is very busy during the holiday season, with cars up and down both sides of Island Highway. Take care to remain safe and visible.

A wonderful way to spend an afternoon with a friend, the gardens are well looked after and there's a little tea room that serves high tea, soups and sandwiches . is a hidden little gem in Qualicum Beach. Lovely staff and very calm environment .

Lovely experience. Next best thing to visiting England! Lots of walking if you wish. Flora, fauna and seashore. Biscuits and tea served white gloved. Our granddaughter will aways remember this esperience; as will we.

All the ingredients of a leisurely afternoon are here. An interpretive trail to a manicured garden followed by tea with a pastry with a view of the sea
