Great folks to deal with. Bought our super comfortable sofa here, & when afyer a year or so we had a problem with the electronics, their service guy popped over right away, diagnosed & replaced the controller immediately, witout charge.

Shortly after 2 chairs were delivered there were problems. The one chair squeaked constantly. A service person came, said the seat springs were installed upside down and the chair had to go to Nanaimo to be installed correctly. By the time it came back there was intermittent squeaking in the other chair. The tech came back again. 3 times altogether to fix. He was very polite as was Jeff the service manager who I spoke with by phone several times. I was told I could call any time but they would not replace the chair. Squeaks, creaks, noises are not under warranty. I paid $1,000 each for 2 chairs and have been told there is no recourse. The minute I got off the phone with Jeff the chair creaked. The creak now is constant. Every time I move in the chair it creaks. What is the point of phoning for a service call when it isn’t a permanent fix? Why bother. There’s no warranty for noises and I have to live with this constant creak. All of my interactions with employees has been fine thus the one star. The product I received is not!

I was gifted a La-Z- Boy recliner. It arrived last week and I have never sat in a more comfortable chair plus the material I chose for it makes it a lovely addition to my living room. I was very impressed by the two La-Z-Boy employees who delivered it. Earlier that morning I had bought a used sofa bed but the expensive professional movers I'd hired to move it into my 2nd bedroom were unable to manage it. So when La-Z-Boy arrived it was sitting outside my house while I tried to figure what to do with it. The two young men offered to help and it took them unscrewing the bed from the sofa frame and removing two doors off their hinges to get the sofa into my 2nd bedroom but they managed it. I was so pleased. The guys were great and I was also impressed by the company, as La-Z-Boy obviously treats their staff well enough that these two employees felt secure enough to spend this extra time helping a customer outside of a regular task. So really a big thank you to everyone involved from a very happy customer.

The service on our purchase was first-class from start to finish. The sales associate was friendly, helpful and went farther to help us than we expected. The delivery crew has very careful with our new coffee table, helped us install and balance it without rushing. Overall, a great experience.

I went into La-Z-Boy in Courtenay where I purchased a very nice love seat and sofa. This was before I had moved into my new home. Once moved in, I realized they were not going to fit or look good in the space. I went back to see Lisa at La-Z-Boy, explained my dilemma. By this time we were well into the order. Lisa went all out to help me. Not only was I able to cancel the original couch and love seat, I received an in house visit. This enabled Lisa and a coworker, Ada, to get accurate measurements of my home. Together they have provided assistance for the purchases that fit into my space and life style. I can hardly wait to get my new furniture. Do it right, if your going to make a large purchase, go to La-Z-boy, see Lisa and get expert assistance. You won’t be disappointed. Many thanks ladies.

La-Z-Boy in Courtenay was great to deal with. We went online and had some of our needs sorted out, but the in store experience was top notch. Truly listening and accommodating in a professional manner we were able to figure out configuration, colours, and even some extra upgrades to make the furniture the way we wanted it. We were in and out in approximately an hour and they were upfront and honest regarding delivery expectations.

Ok. The prices are not low. But their stuff is really nice. I sat on lots of things and almost all of the them were lovely. The Brick next door was almost exact opposite. The salesperson Cindy was lovely to deal with. We got a deal on a deal and some really nice furniture. Looking forward to sitting on it for years!!

We bought a sofa here a few years ago. The first annoying piece was that I had a La-Z-boy credit from a previous purchase from a store on the mainland that they would not honour. The second piece was that after we got the sofa the material on one of the foot rests started fraying. A technician came to fix it who basically said we were using it wrong by putting our feet on the wrong place on the foot rest????? He did fix it but had a really poor attitude. Finally, the sofa has not stood the test of time. We paid a lot for this sofa and after just a few years, frankly, it looks terrible, and we are already planning its replacement. It will not be a la-z-boy.

We are very happy with the service and advice we received at the Courtenay La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in regards to the purchase of furniture. The manager, Diana Graham, was especially helpful in regard to choosing styles, fabric upholstery and wood stain colour. She enabled us to narrow down a vast array of choices from the Canadel line, and we appreciated her courtesy and patience. Delivery and set-up also went very smoothly. We have now had the furniture in our home for four months, and we are completely satisfied with the appearance of the dining room set and counter stools, as well as the quality of construction.

Our initial order of La-Z-Boy swivel chairs had excellent results, and when a couch we ordered later (not the La-Z-Boy brand) was not suitable for our décor, La-Z-Boy unquestioningly took the couch back, credited us for the returned furniture and helped us to order the perfect replacement.
