Beautiful lil beach, tucked away and private. However, The lady running it could use a lesson or two in public relations . Incredibly rude and down right ignorant.

Great location..close to beach...

Drove in and out to launch a boat

Peggy Richardson

Nice little camping/picnicking site by the sea. It has many RV sites, a good sized covered area, a boat launch, and a fish cleaning station. The beach is predominantly rocky, with a few spots that are small pebble/ sandy. In the summer there is a tiny concession.

(Translated) Beautiful place to have a picnic, but not easy to swim (Original) Smukt sted at holde picnic, men ikke nemt at bade

We showed up late after arriving with the last ferry from Powell River. It was marked "Full" but fortunately the gentleman at the gate discovered there was a "no-show" and got us a marvelous spot for our campervan. The outhouse is the nicest and cleanest I have ever seen anywhere. It doesn't even smell bad in there. Be aware there are no showers or bathrooms. Nice day-picnic area. Many beachfront campsites, and the ones that aren't still have great views of the ocean. Small, friendly and inexpensive campground. Expect it to be full if no reservation during summer.

Linda Graham

Day use, picnic table, fire ring right on the ocean, beautiful

Awesome space. My first time here, but I can see it will be constantly changing with weather, season, & the incredible vision of the proprietor.

Gerry Bishop

Nice waterfront walk in the off season.

C M

Pretty rough and shallow boat lunch, but hey, it's close to the humps

Dan S

The smell of the sea, the view of the Sunshine Coast, the quiet. It's worth a half hour or so stop there.

Rocco Bellosta

Heard some awesome guitar. Luke Guthrie and Anela.

Silke Pfeifer

Beautiful coastal rainforest and a great tour at Kitty Coleman Woodland Gardens. Woodland Gardens now features an outdoor musical stage featuring musicians that perform bi-weekly at this super natural place. We were delighted to experience a musical performance by Hawaiian artists Anella and Luke Bluguthrie which was totally awesome! There will be repeat performances this season, so check back for dates. The gardens are stunning with the last rainfall and the wildlife viewing is even better. We revisited in June 20th. 2021

I went in the winter to check it out. Was really impressed of the size, the amount of campsites, the undercover Picknick area and the outhouses. Great place to go surfing. It’s a great place for a family. Enjoy

This beach is one of the nicest in the valley. Serene and quiet, a great place to bring your family, with easy walking trails and an unparalleled view. A popular spot to launch a boat, fish, camp along the shoreline, or to just spend the day. A must-visit if you are in the area.

Rustic camping with beautiful ocean views however the beach is very rocky so not ideal for walking or swimming and the sites have no privacy. Too bad the campground does not take reservations.

Caro Ouellet

Great price of $15, but I think toilet paper could be included in the price (have to supply your own in the pit toilets in camping areas)!

Beautiful trail! Nice view!

Deanna Piquette

Absolutely gorgeous beach park. Great for day trips and boating as well as overnight camping. Tent sites are up on the hill so you get sun and a view from your site. A really stunning location makes up for lack of full washrooms, etc. We will be back!

Christine Reid

Amazing view. A beach in a valley surrounded by woods. Go from there.

Thomas Thomas

Everything was great just no shower????3 days was lovely though it's beautiful...

This is one of the finest campgrounds in all of south or central Vancouver Island. Beach front views, $15 a night, well taken care of. It puts everything else in the region to shame. Why 3 stars then? Because it is sardine packed like a private campground. There is maybe 10 feet of space between the side of your rig and the next rig. Anything less than 30 feet is unacceptable. 50 feet is preferable. I can't rate any sardines farm more than 3 stars. Also, there's no sun. Even the sunniest spots have a couple hours at best to give, so don't expect to get any power. Generator hours inexplicably run over lunch and end at 2pm, so there is no opportunity to boost over dinner. If you run out, you're done till tomorrow. The sites are also not entirely level. It's not super bad, but results may vary. With sardines there is never any such thing as peace and quiet. That said, I notice there are lots of older people here and that helps immensely. I've come in september specifically to avoid families so I can't speak for disaster season. Just that, for a campsite that commits the cardinal sin of packing sardines, it is fairly quiet. The sound of the waves and view really helps to boost this. This is an incredibly difficult region to find good camping. If you are stuck here and cannot just drive to the North Island or go to better parts of BC to camp, this is a solid option to soak in for a few.

Great day .. launched the boat .. caught our limit.. good Fisher never tells where.. @!

heidi straume

Great fishing has two boat launches you pay daily or yearly. Camping is like parking lot camping in some areas there isn't any sand it's a rocky beach. There are no serviced sites but despite all that it's still a beautiful little spot. Out houses are very clean the cleanest I have ever used. Ice cream store for the kids cash only. You cannot reserve at this site you can stay 10 days than off for 4.

(Translated) Perfect place, even for a nice ride you can park near the campsite, walk there, cross deer, walk on the beach, relax. Possibility of campfires for campers, toilet ok, impeccable! (Original) Endroit parfait, même pour une belle balade on peut se garer près du camping, s'y promener, croiser des biches, marcher sur la plage, se détendre. Bruce Richmond

A great place to camp in the summer. Reserve early as it does fill up especially on the holidays. Ensure your dogs are leashed.

Robin Arsenault

The price is right especially for being next to the ocean. The caretaker is very nice and keeps the campground very clean and has firewood if you need it. Unfortunately the campsites and the fire pits are really close to each other so it can be loud especially if your neighbours like to talk a lot and have dogs that bark at every moment.

Dylan Unrau

Many memories have been made here over the years. Campground staff have always been lovely.

Grant Macaulay

I was told you can see mountains from this beach. I felt lied to.

Cara McMinn

Incredible camping on the beach. Very well maintained. Competitive prices.

Nice beach. One you need to check out when on the north island.

TheDowest1

Nice waterfront provincial campground--beautiful views, but not much in the way of amenities (1 potable water tap, pit toilets with no toilet paper provided). Tight camping with firepits. $15 per night, so very reasonable. Good boat ramp ... No playground, but nice picnic area.

Roderick Verchere

Great

Ken Macdonald

Clean sites, great hosts and good value for what you get. 15$ per night and a great sunrise and sunset over the straight everyday.

Kitty Coleman is a wonderful ocean side camp with a sweet legend of a love story of kitty and her one true love Coleman.
