Yes! There is SUSHI!! And many selections of Chinese food. Salad and dessert as well for 18 bucks. If your a pop drinker, buy the can pop. The fountain is watered down.
The food has been consistently excellent for over a year now.
We love the Chinese food here. It is always delicious with a large variety. We had the lunch buffet and arrived around 1:30 pm. Not a good idea. The variety was there but not my favorite choices and not very fresh. Next time we will go earlier. Relaxed atmosphere and quiet at this time of day.
Tasty. Decent price.
I havent had dim sum in a long time. East kitchen has all my favorites. I dont even know what half of the dumplings are called but I love em. Plus it has a decent selection of the cantonese style dishes on its buffet. The only difference between this place and the dim sum in victoria is at East Kitchen its all buffet style instead of circulating carts. Today I managed 7 small plates. The price is 15 dollars for all you can eat. I also had green tea for an extra charge. I am already looking forward to my next visit. Recommended!
Good buffet, nice selection & tasty! Lunch is a better deal and has many dim sum options!
Used to come here a lot before the name change. Food was good back then. Took my children for lunch the other day and things have really gone downhill. Food was bland and tasteless, took way too long to restock the buffet. My son grabbed some ice cream to eat as he didn't care for the buffet food, turns out the ice cream was freezer burnt. Will begin going for buffet lunches elsewhere in the valley from now on, just can't justify a $16.00 buffet lunch per person for that quality of food.
A good basic Chinese Buffet. It is a wide open design. The food flavours were authentic and it was clean. You can also order in or take out. Good value for price and will probably eat here again.
We ordered from here a few months ago and it was okay. We’ve just given them another try and we were blown away. I don’t know what has changed, but they’ve really lifted their game. The hot and sour soup was spot on.
Huge buffet, great staff. Best Chinese restaurant in town!
We were originally planning to go to the usual Chinese restaurant that we attend once a year when we camp... But they were closed today. Picked this location based on reviews from others. We were not disappointed. This was a good Canadian--Chinese restaurant that had something for everyone. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was constantly being replenished in the buffet. Good food and the location was good in that we we're able to enjoy looking at all the stores in Courtenay on the same trip. I would recommend this buffet for those who enjoy Canadian-Chinese cuisine. Our sushi-lover in the group was thrilled to see sushi available at the buffet.
The best combo burger ever! It's a beef patty and a hot dog. I've been enjoying this burger for over 40 years. Always great! Always fast.
Craving Dim sum go here. Every thing was yummy. Just wish the BBQ pork bun had more filling. Going to make it at home.
Love this place! Ingredients are fresh and everything taste great! This is the place to go if you're looking for authentic Chinese food!
Excellent staff, tasty dim sum. We enjoyed the Mother's Day special
Tons of choices at their smorgasbord and always great service.
Great buffet. Has sushi roll, but sushi doesn't work on a buffet. Rice was starting to dry out, taste like you get from the supermarket. Lots of variety on the buffet. Good selection for deserts. I'd come again
All my orders have been ready for pickup when I got there. Great portions. My new go to in the CV
Great food, Great Service, Best Dim Sum and the only Dim Sum in town!! It was about $13 for one person! New manager seems very nice and gave great service! East Kitchen is the best by far! They have turned around the last couple years! All the servers are very nice as I've been here every so often! Flora is the best at making my bubble tea! I would HIGHLY recommend!
So much selection we love it
Dim Sum off the menu. Mask protocols in place. Huge room, buffet not open. Hot, quick meal.
Only one waitress but it was good
The waitress in the restaraunt were friendly and worked hard to keep every guest happy. Came in on mother's day and they had a special buffet that added lots of additional items to choose from. Food was delicious. Best chinese buffet in town!
Sushi is a bit weird for a buffet but I'm not complaining.
We love it here. Clean, friendly and quiet....so nice to be able to have a conversation at the table and be able to hear one another! Buffet is excellent...nicely presented sushi rolls with ginger, wasabi, soy sauce and sesame seeds, and a big array of choices in the hot buffet area...at least 3 seafood choices—sometimes 5 or 6, duck, lots of unique meat dishes and vegetarian options like satay mushrooms and a very tasty chop suey, veggie rice and veggie chow mein. Several soups, spring rolls, panfried gyoza...and a nice dessert area with different cakes, squares, bars, jello, fresh fruit salad, sliced melon etc. The restaurant is relaxing and staff are attentive, welcoming and friendly! Prices are very fair in comparison to other places that are much lower quality. Highly recommended :) Edit....Came back and ordered the vegetarian eggplant dish only to discover after eating half of it that it contained extremely finally minced pork. Within 10 minutes I became violently ill and called the restaurant and was told “too bad, everybody knows eggplant dishes come with pork. Come back sometime and we will give you a 10% discount on your next meal”. Then they hung up. Not cool. I called other Chinese restaurants and asked them about their eggplant dishes and none of them put pork in them.
Super nice staff and delicious food!
Pretty flavorless and greasy. But i had buffet so...kind of expected.
I was told 15~20 min to pickup my order. It turned out to be almost an hour wait. The food is not good, almond chicken overcooked and chewy, chow mein was cold,I believe they forgot about my order and quickly through together scraps off their floor and packed it for me,don't eat at this restaurant.Worst experience so far in Courtney
Always great food from here!
Best wor wanton in town Best bbq duck
Ordered take out yesterday from here. We have also eaten at the buffet a few times previously. I must say that the take out food was unbelievably greasy. We both felt ill after eating the take out food. I do not see us continuing to go to East Kitchen. They seemed to not really care about their food prep. Really disappointed and that does not even include the big hike in prices for their food. Yukky!!!!!!!!!!
North American versions of various Asian foods. No MSG. Nice service. Reasonable quality, especially for a buffet. Easy for kids.
The food we had to remind them to refill The quality was poor at best A dive id have to say And it has to be not good for me to go this far i they and have a open mind It only what i think
Nice service delicious chinese food with pretty waitresses.
It had a different selection like duck in their mix. Food was good.
Great service great food always a delight going there with the family very clean and staff is very interactive with there patrons and on-top of drinks and everything you could want out of a buffet
Great buffet!! Very fresh not greasy and wide selection not typically seen at other buffets and the wonton soup is AMAZING ????
We had really bad experience. Lady who helped us was so rude, in the middle of the customer service she went for her lunch in front of us. We were waiting for long on our table and after she is done, she came to us. Really bad customer service there. Her name is Fanny
After having numerous Chinese food in town and experienced other cooking within the city, this is the BEST Chinese restaurant. They offer many selections in their reasonably priced buffet, large selection in order in menu, and great services. Recommended!
Very good North American Chinese buffet all I can eat. Extremely friendly staff. Very tasty food with a nice variety. Love the pandas.
Terrible service. Poor quality food. Too much greasy fried food. Plus they charge for house tea $1.90 with tax. They never told me there is an extra charge for tea. There are much better Chinese restaurants in Courtney.
Nice Chinese food such as spicy boil fish . Beautiful waitress and nice service.
Servers were very rude and food was cold ordered a prawn chowmein and only 1 prawn in it!!!.....I do not recommend eating there server was coughing all over the food.....absolutely horrible experience ....and it looked like the bathroom hadn't been cleaned in months....
If they actually give you all your order it's good, but they haven't managed to get my take out right the last 3 times.
Great food, great service, friendly
WOW!! What a difference since the last time we ate here :). The new management has introduced an updated menu that includes traditional Chinese dishes along with a variety of creative (and delicious!) new recipes. Flavors are wonderful, portions are healthy and the service is impeccable. We'll be back often!!
The Asian momma owner is a crazy, angry lady! After paying for our meal we walked to the parking lot and were in our vehicle ready to leave when this old Asian owner woman comes up to us and starts saying "You no pay! You no pay! You pay.". Somehow implying that me and my family are restaurant criminals. My wife says holding up the receipt, " I paid!!". The old woman shrugged off and says "Oh sorry". What kind of idiots manage this place. Absolutely unacceptable behavior from this ignorant demented woman! The food is great by the way.
It was my first time here & my daughter who lives in Courtenay recommended it. The food was fantastic with a great assortment & the customer service was outstanding! Thank you so much for a great dining experience ????
Great food, and even better selection. The buffet was hot and fresh. Staff was very friendly.
East Kitchen Authentic Chinese Restaurant - Courtenay Great Dim Sum – Fridays and Saturdays 11:00 to 2:00 for fixed price buffet menu $13.99. We had a group of 12 friends join us and they all thought it was excellent value for the money. There was over 12 Dim Sum items including Shui-Mai, Steamed Prawn Dumpling, Steamed Custard Bun in addition to there standard Chinese buffet lunch of won ton soup, deep fried prawns, deep fried squid, egg foo young…fresh and tasty…we’ll be back on a regular basis.
I was pleasantly surprised to find a Chinese buffet that wasn’t generic and l could actually taste the ingredients used in each item. It was all so delicious l didn’t have room for dessert, which is rare. Going back soon with more friends next time.
The very best Chinese restaurant!! Buffet includes delicious dim sum favorites... Food is always fresh, hot, and plentiful!! My only concern with posting this review is that you too will like it very much and it will get too busy for me ... ????
The worst food I've had in as long as i can remember. The only flavor in the food is grease and salt. The bite of fried rice i tried was partially refrigeration cold so clearly day old reheated food. I sent my barely touched lunch back to the kitchen having advised the waitress of my dissatisfaction but they refused to take the meal off the bill because i had "tasted the food." Absolutely appalled!
we ate tonight at the East Kitchen and it at least 150% better than the Chinese buffet that was there previously .. with tasty new additions to the old menu, including many hand-made items, such as the wontons in the soup having better ingredients our meal was decidedly better than we had hoped for and we wont hesitate to go back.
If I could rate this place 0 stars, I would. This is honestly the worst restaurant ever. The food was diabolical. Incredibly salty and vegetables in the beef chop suey were centuries old ,shriveled and soggy. The meniscal amount of prawns did even come close to a quarter of the amount of greasy thick batter. The waiter did not even come to see if we were happy with the food. When she looked over and see a plate of almost untouched food, she asked if we wanted a takeaway box. There was no way we were taking that home. We told her we were not happy with the food and she asked if we were high and crazy. We asked for the bill and she walked of and served more customers. Then argued about paying for the meal which we did not eat.
Buffet was amazing ! Lots of options. Very friendly staff
Very good food and service.
Went for supper buffet. Good selection. Good turnover of dishes. Friendly staff.
Fried rice was over cooked. Squid was not fresh. Prawns were greasy. Chowmein tasted burnt. Owner was defensive and unhelpful. I felt robbed.
The buffet here has a lot of potential, but in my 2 recent visits has fallen short. The chow mein noodles were sitting long enough for some of them to be crunchy and dry, and there has been one or two other items I end up thinking the same about each time. But at the same time, you can tell the food was good - and the fresh dishes we tried are all great. Would recommend coming for peak hours or ordering from the menu
Amazing food Amazing service Spotless restaurant and even the restrooms were exceptionally clean! Great food and atmosphere for a reasonable price. We will definately return!!
Misleading menu. I ordered the "Dinner for one with two items". It should be called "two items" because it was just the two items. I thought they must have forgotten part of my order, so I called and I was told that's it. It would be like saying dinner with a drink and just getting the drink. Every other Chinese restaurant that has a dinner for one comes with the standard rice or chow mein, and then select your items. $15.55 for 6 chicken balls and springrolls. (To be fair, the food tasted good) I wouldn't recommend.
We have had good from this restaurant on many occasions. We keep going back -- does that tell you anything?
Not a buffet, covid protocol in effect meaning no vaccine ID no dine in service, mask is mandatory inside the restaurant, take-out order is available, food is not that great, stirfry beef is so hard, stirfry chicken noodle only have chicken on top and it missing its vege, spring roll is so oily and the deep fry shrimp is missing a shrimp, its more of a stir fry buttered. beef chopsuey is just ok and the sweet and sour pork is so sweet. We ordered theyre 6 person combo so my review is base on this selection.
Awesome homemade dimsum at lunch! The waitress makes it herself and she is a beauty
Good food with fast and friendly service. Plenty of room for larger groups, and they do have buffet during specific hours. There are some great authentic plates ad well.
We were hungry around 5:00 and were surprised to find this restaurant already a quarter full when we arrived. My wife is Chinese and doesn't normally like “Canadian Chinese buffet” but she really enjoyed this one. The staff were friendly and nice. The buffet had a good selection and everything was fresh and refilled quickly. We enjoyed the buffet but next time we go back will probably order off the menu because there were more traditional Chinese dishes on the menu that weren't on the buffet.
Dim sum is very tasty. Hope to see the buffet one day again. Following all PHO.. Scanning vaccine record and verifying it against photo ID ????????
Great food. Often get there 30 mins before closing and still welcomed with open arms unlike other places that vacumn around you and take food away from the buffet The staff also makes the vist worthwhile.
We ordered a delivery for 5:30pm and it was 45 minutes late. But that was okay because they were busy (or at least that was what we were told). However to say that the food was very disappointing is something of an understatement. My beef & tomato fried rice was about 95% rice with 4 or 5 little strips of beef placed on the top and none below the surface. We also ordered deep-fried battered Wontons - the Wontons were about the size of a pea and with a huge chunk of non-tasty batter attached. And as for the egg rolls - the least said the better. Never again. ????
Food so good .... Amazing new menu and awesome service... Love it.. new ownership rocks!!! Must visit with your family :)
Slow service, rather tasteless soup.
good food but horrible service. they were rude and took so long to bring anything. we asked for water and 2 other tables got it before we did
It was great. Went on New Year's Day, There was 9 of us at separate tables. They were swamped. The wonderful lady serving us must have been the owner. She warned us about how busy it was, but still managed to get food to us very quickly. She also stopped us from ordering way to much food which was appreciated. She was great with the kids and the food was excellent. Our new tradition when in Courtney.
first vist since new ownership, pleasantly surprised, service was great ,no millennial waitresses ,and the quality and freshness of the food was the best I've found in the valley, since coming from the gvrd . I will attempt to stay away for 4-5 days ,that will be difficult …..
Delicious! We ordered several items from the menu, and had a table full of food. Some items were good, some were excellent. I would highly recommend the shanghai noodles with beef. We will definitely be back!
A lovely and classy Chinese restaurant. Excellent service. Relaxing background music. Good buffet for a reasonable price.
Excellent service. The food is as expected for a Chinese Buffet, tasty and plentiful. If you are on a diet, steer clear but if you're looking to eat an unhealthy amount of the usual delicious North American Chinese food, stop in. Friendly staff and a comfortable atmosphere make this a staple for buffet in the Comox Valley.
Biggest buffet I've ever seen. Delicious.
Great food, lots of left overs to take home and good prices.
Excellent buffet, always fresh, hot and delicious. Good service, and pleasing atmosphere, we are regulars here!
Edit: I've changed my review to 3 stars because while the staff and owner are still great people, the food has become sub par. Like almost every other chinese place in the Valley, they know who their customer base is. Old people. And old people have a dulled sense of taste. Therefore this food is pure umami. That would be great, if i were japanese. That's a joke. And i am not Japanese. Nor am i impressed. 3 stars Rs. Former 5 star review below The owner is awesome. Me and my girl got there just before closing, and they stayed open after close so that we could get some food; which the owner brought to us himself! Happily! And to this day I don't know how they packed that much food into those containers, i opened the chow mein and had to eat some of it before it was possible to close again
Good food It's improved big time
Sunday buffet is a great value.
This is definitely one of the worst Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. The food was terrible, save yourself the money .
All it takes is one look on the Vancouver Island Health Authority website (Under health inspections at restaurants) to see how they handle your food. Not a single clean and safe rated inspection with many repeat offenses. I'm stunned. Ate here once, never coming back lest I get food poisoning from it! Where are the standards?!
Nice dim sum lunch special. Good variety of food and the price was right!
On Friday noon my family and I came to the east kitchen and had an amazing lunch with tons of varieties of food to choose from and we are very surprised that they have dim sum which is very good and fresh. Staffs were very nice and friendly and is willing help if you need anything. I will definitely recommend this restaurant. Overall a great place to bring your friends and family.
Good food and good service with a smile. The Friday and weekend buffet specially. The most important thing is that the food is properly prepared and presented so no oily mixture that glare in the shinning light of the hearing lamp! You can actually see real food and it tastes really you can taste the ingredients not just an ambiguous oil coated flavor. The duck is especially commendable, I tried the potato duck and it was awesome, it actually had three layers, a thin layer of skin with some far a thicker layer of meat and finally bones. Well the common anatomy of the duck but having tried many Chinese restaurants the usually duck dish features not Peking ducks but ducks from Beijing central prison where they have become skin and bones. Non of that nonsense here the real deal.
I did a take out order just for 2 seafood hot and sour soup, was told 15-20 mins wait and it didnt show up until after 35 mins. we ordered the same soup last time and it was good. but this time it was disappointing and the only seafood was some shrimp chunks in it!!!! If this is the trend in quality customers should be looking at other options.
Ordered take out tonight. The food arrived quickly and was hot. That’s where the positives end. Chow mein was a giant wad of Flavourless noodles stuck together with manky tasting chicken shoved on top. Had to dig deep to find any veggies at all, and the blandness of it was truly disappointing. The chicken balls were super greasy and the grease flavour was stale and burned. The egg foo yung was burned. Really haven’t had a worse meal in as long as I can remember. Used to be good here.
Great food only Chinese food place I order from!!
First time here, food taste amazing, Dim sum is awesome has a big big variety. Was not expecting this good of a buffet when I came into the islands from Vancouver.
Omg the burger patty and hotdog combo is amazing! A must try! Lmao in all honesty though this place is overall very good. There's a few dishes on the buffet I always avoid when going anywhere (mostly seafood) but I love there prawns. The ginger beef is literally nothing but ginger it tastes like, impossible to eat without drinking a whole glass of water. But every other dish is I'd say a 4 if not close.
Good food, reasonably priced, very clean, nice staff
It was great. 20 of us. Will come again.
We used to come here often enough before the ownership change. Now it's a regular event for my family. The service is great, the food has improved and the options for the buffet are even better.
Great food awesome Dim Sum and fantastic service. All you can eat homemade Dim Sum....are you kidding me.
Came here with my parents for my mothers birthday, great food with a ton of options, service was great everyone had a smile on their faces. The dim sum is great for the price of only $12.95. I'd say is comparable to some Chinese Restaurants in Vancouver. Will definitely come back.
This place is amazing. Not from around here but always crave Chinese food. The portions are BIG, which is why the prices are above average, but totally worth it. And the food is delicious. The service was amazing as well. Totally going back!
Super gross food and I threw up five hours later intensely. There have got to be issues with their food safety practices. I wish I had listened to the other reviews citing the same issues.
Definitely recommend!!
good food, we had wonton soup, spring rolls, almond chicken and chicken chow mein. service, however, was terrible. waitress never offered us water, we ordered coffee and when it came with only 1 creamer each (we both prefer 2) and i asked for more, her response was “give me a second “ like I was harassing her. she never returned to offer refills on our coffee either. due to covid, salt and pepper and soya are served in individual packets, which is fine, except that we received only 2 small packets of soya and 1 small packet of salt and pepper. i was obliged to ask for more and her response was grudging and we still received only a small amount more of each, by which point I had given up and we simply ate our meal and left. during our entire transaction she never smiled at us once and my husband described her as hostile. that is certainly how it felt and despite the good food, we won’t return as going out for dinner should be a pleasant occasion and enjoyable.
Very nice environment and quiet. Very good buffet and Chinese dishes. Very nice waitress. Mandy makes the best bubble tea!!
Was really good food would go again for sure
Fresh smorgasbord, good variety for a small venue.
Went on Christmas Eve 2019 and not only did they jack up the price by $5 (to $23.95 per person), but there was no food in the bins and we waited 45 minutes for things to get refilled and then when we said mentioned it to the hostess, they gave us a measly 10% off instead of comping a meal or something. Also, the entire time we were seated (about 1 hour) no one came to check on us, or refill drinks and the plates went from the table once in that entire hour, not that it mattered much seeing as we had no food to eat! Definitely not going back and definitely spreading the word!
Excellent food. Great service and value for money
Evening buffet has a great selection of foods from various Asian cuisines; all flavourful and fresh. Very attentive service.
The food there fantastic specially if you try out the buffet and a good customer support. ✌????????????????
Very good food
We're new to the area so this was our 1st order but certainly won't be our last. It was delicious! Fresh, hot and delivered in 35 mins. Generous portions, packed with flavor & fresh ingredients. Yummy!
Had the buffet here one time when we were visiting in town, wide selection of choices, all the items were very good, definitely going to be back, server was very friendly didn't catch her name, but recommend this place
The Server (Mandy) was friendly and nice :) The food was really good, especially the dim sum, which I tried after a plate of Chinese food. I was wishing I had more room for desert, but I thought no. It did look good though. I was impressed, especially with the custard filled steamed buns.
I only go to two places for Chinese food. This is one
EAST KITCHEN continues to impress everyone with its new menu and the all you can eat DIM SUM LUNCH now served Monday to Saturday for only $12,95. The food is excellent, large dining room and great atmosphere for Family or Business. The staff work very hard to greet and serve everyone. With this very hot weather come in to the air conditioned restaurant for a great meal and delicious cold BUBBLE TEA or choose from a selection of wine and beer. Biggest and best BUFFET in the COMOX VALLEY.
The Dinner for Two was hot, tasty and freshly prepared
Very nice custom service, beautiful and polite. Decilious food ,a very authentic chinese restaurant!
I am from Vancouver, we were visiting friends in Comox during the new year. Friends brought us to the new restaurant in town, said it was the best, So why don't give it a try. It is nice atmosphere, ladies there are so friendly and super nice. They attend to our table once a while, and make sure everything was okay for us. Friends and I were very happy with the lovely food. Food seems ran out fast, it is too good. I bet the chef working very hard at the back. Lovely meal, and very good service. Very ENJOY my night there. I will definitely go back next time visiting Comox. 10/10!
wasnt bad but wasnt good ...chicken was tooo greasy
Awesome food, great service, would try again!
We drive from Campbell river just to eat here. We especially enjoy the buffet.
I was told my dinner would be ready at 5pm, and it was ready for 5:20. Not a huge deal, we eat our spring rolls on our way home. Once we arrived home and started unpacking the food, my phone rang. Its was East Kitchen calling. " you have the wrong meal. We are delivering you your meal. Dont eat that one" ( this seems really wrong to me. So someone is going to be having food that we already opened?) I replied that we had already eaten the spring rolls and that we hadnt unpacked the food yet. A nice gentleman dropped off our food, and asked for the other one back. Apologizes for the mix up. We are now sitting down to our meal 1hr 15mins after our meal should have been ready . Our food was cold and the veggies are now mushy. This experience does not sit well with me. We called back to advise that our meal was barely warm. They offered to give us 15% off our next meal. I feel horrible for the people that received food, that had already been on another families dinner table. For me, this has all been a very unacceptable!
Went for their lunch buffet with my family and there was almost no food to choose from and what was there was quite cold and obviously sat for quite a while and we had to wait over half an hour until more food was cooked. Terrible service.
The service and decor are very nice. I was very disappointed with the food. Not at all flavorable, very greasy and bland. Compaired to other Dim Sum experiences, this was really very poor. We will not go back or recommend this place to friends.
Very very delicious \(≧▽≦)/ good service. It is a perfect place to have dinner with friends. They always deliver food on time!!!(*^__^*)
aroma food , traditional Chinese style, with fair price.
Very disappointing experience. We often get delivery Sunday nights. Tonight we were told (an hour and 10 minutes before they close) that they would not deliver to us because it was "a bit late". ....... it's 7:52pm and they close at 9. We usually order at 8:20 pm and have never had any issues.
I love this place. Best dim sum in the Valley & reasonably priced! Great buffet
I ate at The East Kitchen. I was happy with the food. It was delicious, good quality. The staffs was very pleasant, and efficient. The restaurant had a nice ambiance. Overall, I would definitely come back, and highly recommend it!
Really disappointed. We ordered takeout and there was an extra $5 charge that we werent told about. There are very few options for vegetarians, and the dishes we thought were vegetarian ended up having pork in them. Our order endee up costing $60 and I wasn't able to eat any of it. Please label your menu better!
It was a nice place for food
I come from Campbell River this is my first time at the East Kitchen after the new ownership. I must say my first time experience was wonderful. I've tried many Chinese Food Buffet Restaurants and i have to say the East Kitchen is one of the best. Also with a large selection of food, very fresh and some of the standouts are Sushi, tons of seafood, BBQ duck and the Hot and Sour Soup. Even with a large amount of customers the servers are still providing good service. I will for sure come back :)
Great service, conscientious about covid, awesome wor won ton soup!
I give 2 star for now. If there's not alot of people they dont keep all trays with fresh food. They bring out 20 wings and gone as soon as there dumped. If your not there when dumped then you wait another 15 min for the next 20 wings. Same with all dishes. It will be some time before I try again I hope owners read post.
Always a favorite restaurant when I come to Courteney. A variety of food to choose from. Quiet and friendly service ????????⚘????????
Food wise it's not or miss on most days, selection is pretty good, there is something for everyone. The main dining area is clean and organized and not having to squeeze past others. Parking is plenty behind the building and decent on the street.
Great buffet. Love the dim sum options on Friday & Saturday lunch
Great food and fantastic service.
There food is raally good and waiter very beautiful????
Not a bad Place to have some good Chinese Food.
The best HOT N SOUR SOUP ever
Food was too salty. Service was meh. Gave us the wrong bill even though there were only less than 5 occupied tables.
My wife and I went for Dim Sum and the selection was quite good with many of the classics like sticky rice, steamed garlic and black bean pork ribs, siu mai, shrimp dumplings, etc. The food was very good and the service from Mandy excellent. It seems the restaurant and staff are just getting their stride and the quality of their cuisine improving as they hone in on what locals like most. Strongly urge dim Sum lovers to give them a try.
My family and I had a great experience. Food was delicious. Definitely look forward to returning next time we are on the island.
Love there food. Staff are so friendly
Very good food and customer service and friendly staff.
Wow! Excellent service, covidly careful, and the best Chinese style food I have had in twenty years in the Comox Valley. I regret putting off coming here! Their Cantonese chow mein is to die for.
Superb authentic dim sum plus ample choice plus tempura prawns and tempura squids. Great value and good service. We certainly will go again with friends and family. Yuk Kee Sandy Leung and Terry Berrecloth
Took the kids here last night and it was amazing! Friendliest staff and a huge selection to choose from. Server came to our table plenty of times, all smiles. Definitely recommend!!
