They'll get the work done but, from my experience with them, expect a lowball estimate. I'd use them but be realistic and add 25% to their initial estimate, then add 10% more for landscaping work to clean up the mess they leave behind.

Wow! Above and beyond removed a large cherry tree in our yard. There was absolutely no damage to our soggy lawn and, beyond a 2" stump, no evidence they were there - no sawdust, branches, etc. left over. They also moved our children's trampoline across the yard out of the goodness of their heart - it was in the way of the tree that needed removing. We'll be happy to do business with Above and Beyond again!

Not happy with the service. Expect a lowball estimate; we ended up paying almost double the money initially agreed upon. Were not able to follow simple instructions (e.g no trees on the septic field, length of cut pieces). After they received money it took them lots of pleading and begging to finish rest of work. Left a mess everywhere. Will definitely not hire them again.

I havnt used this service yet, but my parents have for a removal of a stubborn stump. Everything worked out well, and there is no tree coming back. This tree was pretty invasive. I may have to use this service soon for a few stumps I have. I actually called today asking for wood chips, and the guy was super nice to deal with when I called but then I had to call back to cancel my request. I always see them around doing their buisness in town. Keep up the good work!

I had a very small job of simply cleaning up a few branches of at tree that we had tried to do ourselves. The branches were growing over the eaves troughs and our parked car. The trimmer that we used was not very sharp and left jagged edges. Even though we had permission to do this our strata council made a very big issue out of it. We were told that we were liable to pay for an arborist to fix it. They brought in a company that gave an outrageous quote of $225. Esteven of Above and Beyond was here promptly and gave me an estimate of $25. He was here the next day and after 10 minutes work said "You know what. I'm not even going to charge you for this". How sweet is that? And like they say. "No job too small". Thanks Guys. You were recommended to me by my cousin and I will certainly pass the word around.

We recently had an old cedar taken down in our back yard in Campbell River by Above & Beyond and our experience was great! The work was completed as quoted which was a very competitive price. My wife and 3 kids were home when the work was done and were treated very well with friendly staff who interacted and entertained the kids questions. The exceptional part is that we asked for the trunk, which had two runs, be cut at different heights so we could re-purpose the trunks as a base for a tree fort. The time was taken to make sure the trunks were cut perfectly level at their respective heights. Thanks again!

He wrote down exactly what we wanted and was clear for the crew that came for the tree removal. The team for the tree removals were outstanding. A year ago, in order to prepare for construction of a new home on a fully treed lot situated between two adjacent residences, we began the process of exploring contractors to complete the selective falling. After interviewing several potential firms, we decided to hire Above and Beyond because of their knowledge base, advice, equipment, and support in meeting City requirements. The technically challenging felling took place over 4.5 days and I and the neighbourhood were often in awe as we watched the 4 person crew work harmoniously falling very large and mature douglas firs, hemlocks, and maples with nasty "leans" precisely into the tight corridors of the faller's choosing. As the work days progressed, the forest floor became quite hazardous from interwoven tree stems, but the crew remained alert and all work was carried out both skillfully and safely. Before departing, the crew removed all branches and debris from our site, and bucked our stems to lengths suitable for later transport and sale. We were and continue to be extremely satisfied with the excellent and professional work done for us by Above and Beyond. We plan to use them again in the future when needs arise and have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

WOW! Chad and his crew were amazing! We had 7 large trees to remove from a steep ravine. One of them, a large maple, was 2 feet in diameter (60 cm). They had to bring in a crane truck courtesy of Courtenay Cranes to lift the trees out of the ravine. The entire effort was executed with military precision under Chad’s directions. The crew was outstanding. They went the extra mile to ensure that all of the work was done to our satisfaction and they cleaned up afterwards. Above and beyond isn’t just the name of their company… it describes the way they do their work!
