Tour with them on Nov 17th and we did not see any bears either. Only fox and chicken (ptarmigan actually).

Nice, locally owned business. Run tours throughout most of the year if requested. Recently opened a nice gift shop with a broad selection of t-shirts, postcards, jewelry and other souvenirs. Regionally made soaps and some odds and ends also available if you forgot something.

What a great experience! I felt safe and secure, educated and entertained. The drivers know what they're doing and are pleasant, cooperative, and so helpful. The Polar Rover was clean, excellent condition, with comfortable seating. It helps that I was fortunate to see bears on my trip but our driver spotted more wildlife and worked hard to make sure we had an amazing experience.

(Translated) My day tour in Tundra Rover with Great White Bear Tours was one of a kind and memorable! I took part in a tour in October and we were lucky enough to see seven polar bears, a polar fox, a snow hare and several ptarmigan. In fact, a polar bear was curious and walked around the rover and finally under the rover's outer deck (with a "transparent" grid floor). The tour was completely successful and all unbelievably friendly and endeavored to the tourists: punctual pick up in the early morning directly at our accommodation, a merry-cozy bus ride to the tundra rover with Churchill information of the local bus driver, the tour guide lady on board the rover and our also local rover driver gave a lot of knowledge and had the "professional look" for the well-camouflaged animals. On board there was delicious home-made stew and homemade cookies and drinks. I highly recommend the family business and would always choose Great White Bear Tours. One senses that the owners are not interested in pure profit (for example, we were told the tour was fully booked, which was certainly the case during the two-month polar bear season, but each participant had a window seat in the rover and therefore the best view) and that the company is led with much love and responsibility towards this particular patch of earth. Ich habe im Oktober an einer Tour teilgenommen und wir hatten das große Glück, sieben Eisbären, einen Polarfuchs, einen Schneehasen und mehrere Schneehühner zu sehen. Ein Eisbär war sogar ganz neugierig und lief um den Rover herum und schließlich unter der Außenplattform des Rovers (mit "durchsichtigem" Gitterboden) entlang. Die Tour war rundum gelungen und alle unglaublich freundlich und um die Touristen bemüht: Pünktliches Abholen am frühen Morgen direkt an unserer Unterkunft, eine fröhlich-gemütliche Busfahrt zum Tundra-Rover mit Churchill-Infos der einheimischen Busfahrerin, die Tourguide-Dame an Bord des Rovers und unser ebenfalls einheimischer Rover-Fahrer vermittelten enorm viel Wissen und hatten den "Profi-Blick" für die gut getarnten Tiere. An Bord gab es köstlichen, selbstgemachten Eintopf und selbstgemachte Cookies und Getränke. Ich kann das Familienunternehmen nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen und würde immer wieder Great White Bear Tours wählen. Man spürt, dass es den Besitzern nicht um den reinen Profit geht (so wurde uns z.B. gesagt, die Tour sei ausgebucht, was während der zweimonatigen Eisbären-Saison sicher der Fall war, jedoch hatte jeder Teilnehmer einen Fensterplatz im Rover und somit beste Sicht) und dass das Unternehmen mit viel Liebe und Verantwortung gegenüber diesem besonderen Flecken Erde geführt wird. Tausend Dank nochmal für dieses besondere Erlebnis!

My wife, 20 month old grand daughter and myself had the pleasure of meeting Kyle, his wife Dorothy and their children. Although we were not there during polar bear season, they had taken us on the "bear bus", showed us the wildlife that was available and provide us with unmatched hospitality. It truly was a wonderful, once in a lifetime experience. We are so grateful to have met them and will cherish our experience especially for our grand daughter forever. Their attentiveness, compassion for what they do and love of the land and animals all exceed my expectations. The staff was so welcoming and helpful making my stay memorable.
