I stopped by the depot at Lambton Kent Landscape and Supply today they are not opened until April 1st but they came out to greet me and helped with the advise I was looking for. The guy working there was very polite and knew what he was talking about in answering my questions. He took the time to explain to me why grass would not grow under Maple trees. I looked up with the advise he gave me and the problem was exactly what he said it was. I am so happy my wife and I stopped to ask questions. I will definitely be doing all my business with them. Everything i need to fo all my landscaping projects are there. Thank You so much.

I wasn't as lucky as the 5 reviews below. I ordered 2 1/2 yards of Premium triple mix top soil (was strongly recommended by the older fella) at $45.00 per yard. This fella wanted $25 for delivery. I advised him that I was quoted $10 delivery ( by another employee) because I was in town. The older fella squawked and said he'd get the $15 difference from the other employee. When the delivery arrived and was unloaded I thought to myself this sure looks like a "light" 2 1/2 yards. I must say the delivery young fella was very polite and accommodating. After i spread the soil and watered the lawn a few times I found that there was a excess of tiny stones in the area that the new soil was spread (enough stone to prevent the lawn seed in providing a thick new lawn). I took a bag of stones as a sample and went and saw the older fella. He went defensive and said "these aren't our stones because none of our soil have stones" apologized and walked away. I also should mention that last spring I had called this company in to advise me on a solution for part of my back yard where rain water was pooling and took for ever to drain. The owner and the old fella came over and quoted me $2,000 plus to fix the problem. I was told by a competitor to get some top soil and level off the area. This is why I ordered the 2 1/2 yards of top soil from Lampton Kent Landscape. I paid $138.43 and guess what? On the last really heavy rainfall there was no more pooling of surface water. With these 2 negative experiences I will definitely in the future take my business to the nursery across from Canadian Tire.
