The employee who helped me was sk kind and friendly. I had a rain check and she found the items for me with no problem. She could see I was having trouble walking and was in pain do she did whatever she could do to make my shopping experience better. I wish I knew her name because she was very kind to me before when I had shopped there. Occasionally you will get an employee working there who is rude or completely clueless about what you need but usually they are very good. I went in a few weeks ago asking for a certain tap adapter. An employee from another department knew what exactly what I was talking about but said the guy from that department can help you find everything you need. Well he was wrong. I explained it several times to this guy and he was clueless. I finally found something that I thought might be what I needed and showed it to him and explained again why I needed that or something like that and he still didn't understand. I was going to get the part that I found until I seen the price. I said I will have to check somewheres else to see if I can get it cheaper. I went to a plumbing shop the next day and got what I needed for cheaper. Normally you pay less for something at a hardware store than a plumbing shop especially since it was just a tap adapter I needed. Home Hardware is usually pretty good at having employees that are polite and knue the products they have and can understand what you are looking for but that day I got the employee who doesn't know his department or products and I know he has worked there for awhile now.

Ill give them a star for being one of the few places that carries the PVC parts I needed. But they like to make you feel like a thief while taking your backpack, rather than a simple apology or stating that they have to enforce a policy. I'll be hunting the parts elsewhere.

You can not walk through this store without being greeted by all the staff members! A truly friendly place. I would come here for any advice on home maintenance and repair topics that I am unfamiliar with, the staff seem very knowledgeable and confident. This is also my favourite place to buy Christmas decor and lights! They have great prices for lights especially.

Very rude staff. Went there to buy a skillsaw. Cash in my pocket. Didn't need the help of anyone. Said I was fine when asked. Apparently this was suspicious and I was followed around the store. Went here for the first time in years! Staff were a bit odd, and didnt even know what I was asking for. In my opinion if your working at a home hardware store, you should be aware of the products you sell?... got what I needed eventually and left! Will likely be back, but for others looking for certain things, your better off looking down the aisles yourself as quite a few of the staff we asked, had no clue about what I was even asking for, let alone where to find it!

Return policy was horrible. Bought the kids pool but the bottom of the pool was so slippery and kids couldn't stand up properly. The pool was purchased two weeks ago but used only once. This is my first time purchase stuff in home hardware and will not go back to buy anything from them.

So I went into this store and bought 2 items as I was walking out I stopped and got some candy out of the machine when I looked up there was a older woman employee and she says to me , did you pay for that and I was like I just payed for it 30 seconds ago and she didnt believe me and started asking all the people at registers if I payed for it?? What an embarrassing moment I'm 40 years old with my brother who was at the register buying the exact same items.
