The story is simple, after 2 years, the heat pump began to freeze the indoor coil by loss of gas and when put into heating, it was emptied of the freon and the compressor to jam. I called a refrigeration engineer who after verification confirmed to me that these cheap heat pumps have pipes between the indoor and outdoor unit in steel which when bent ends up with micro-leaks which increase over time. When the heat pump is put into heating mode in the fall, the pressure in these outside pipes increases between 400 and 600 PSI and aggravates the gas leaks and vacuum. When the compressor works without gas, because there is no protection, the compressor overheats and grip. The overheating of the oil makes it corrosive due to the poor quality of the Chinese oil which makes the coils and the pipework scrap. When disassembled by the refrigeration engineer, I took note of the compressor part number (PA150G1C-3FTU1) and did a little research on the internet to find that my 18,000 BTU was actually 15,000 BTU with a compressor made. to work with freon R22 and that we make it work with R410A. So another scam on the real power of this heat pump. The compressor was guaranteed for 5 years, but when I contacted the phone number for the manual, I was told that there is no longer a warranty and the company is gone, another scam. The refrigeration engineer confirmed to me that these heat pumps usually work 2 to 3 years if you use the heating mode and 4 to 5 years if you only use it in cooling mode. So in summary, never buy heat pumps like Hurricane, Baker, Kreeg, etc ... from hardware stores like RONA, Canac Marquis, Réno Dépot, etc ... (Original) Je me suis fait arnaquer par mon quincailler à l'achat d'une thermopompe Baker qui n'as fonctionner que 2 ans en demi avant de rendre l'ame. L'histoire est simple, après 2 ans, la thermopompe s'est mis à gelé le serpentin intérieur par perte de gaz et lorsque mit en chauffage, elle c'est vidé du fréon et le compresseur à jammer. J'ai appeler un frigoriste qui après vérification me confirma que ces thermopompes cheap ont des conduites entre l'unité intérieur et extérieur en acier qui lorsque cintré se retrouve avec des micro-fuite qui augmente avec le temps. Lorsque le thermopompe est mit en mode chauffage en automne, la pression dans ces conduite extérieur augmente entre 400 et 600 PSI et agrave les fuites et la vide de gaz. Lorsque le compresseur fonctionne sans gaz, parce qu'il n'y a pas de protection, le compresseur surchauffe et grip. La surchauffe de l'huile la rend corrosive de part la piètre qualité de l'huile chinoise ce qui rend les serpentins et la tyauterie scrap. Lorsque démonté par le frigoriste, j'ai prit en note le numéro de pièce du compresseur (PA150G1C-3FTU1) et fait une petite recherche sur internet pour m'appercevoir que ma 18 000 BTU était en réalité une 15 000 BTU avec un compresseur fait pour fonctionner avec du fréon R22 et qu'il on fait fonctionner avec du R410A. Donc encore une arnaque sur la vrai puissance de cette thermopompe.
