Would not recommend! My mother had a great experience but I called tonight to ask if a certain patio set was going to go on sale soon. (I’ve done this at numerous different stores before) Anyway, when I called, I literally got laughed at and the customer service rep said “I can’t tell you when this set may go on sale ma’am.” I found it incredibly rude to speak to a customer like that! I will take my business elsewhere!

I've had generally decent service at this location. I buy a lot of wood, and building materials for my business. Though not especially good or bad enough to compel me to write a review. I needed several sheets of plywood recently and the young man working in the lumber area was so great I feel compelled to mention him. His name is Alex, though I don't know his last name. Managers take notice, this fellow has such a friendly demeanor and excellent customer service. He absolutely should be commended.

I shop here a lot and generally its great. There is a cashier that is a real problem - scowling, never says 'thank you' - that kind of stuff. Today she was ringing through a bunch of things - the last item beeped twice over the scanner - she looked at the screen for a second, shrugged, and continued. When I got back to my car and looked at the receipt, indeed I was charged twice for the item. I went back in - she said 'oh, I thought it might have done that, but I couldn't check it on the screen.' All she had to do was to look at the receipt she gave me to see the mistake but she was too lazy to even do that, and when I pointed out the mistake - she said I would have to go to customer service! No apology, no nothing: dead pan. Unbelievably lazy and terrible attitude. So after ten minutes at customer service, where I was apologized to a number of times. I like the store generally, but man, that person needs a customer service course. Funny how one bad experience can really ruin your whole day.

It's a big box store without the low prices. It might be suitable for contractors as they probably offer competitive prices but for the regular consumer, I believe you might find better prices for a lot of items at Walmart. It's never as busy as Walmart so that can be a bonus!

Walked around the entire store looking for welcome mats, when the girl I originally asked came up for me 10 minutes later to tell me where they were I was out of patience and just went to home depot. I was in an out of home depot in less time it took me to walk around kent.

A big and new building supply store. Wide aisles and easy walking. Lots of free parking. Lots to see in addition to building supplies. The store has many departments to browse through and also seasonal departments such as Christmas and garden supplies. The atmosphere is bright and cheery.

Terrible! Never do installations with them! Went through Kent to do some work in my kitchen and paid upfront, they only did half the job then no sign of them for several weeks and still not done. Kept getting promised someone would be there right away every time I called only to find out it was an empty promise. I started calling daily to get them to finish the job but no one will answer... I'm leaving messages every time. If you want work done, go somewhere else!!

Went to look for cupboards among other things, was told at the counter that they were out of the kind I wanted, when we asked how long to get some in, we were told I have no idea. Also could not tell us if they did have all the cupboards we needed in stock. So went over to home depot and spent $10,000

Poor customer service experience in both project desk and contractor services. Staff were not knowledgeable nor helpful. Wait times were long for service while staff in uniform were chatting amongst themselves despite line up of customers. Prices compared to other building supply stores run higher in most every department. Would not recommend.

I wanted some design ideas but the person I was dealing with informed me that I would need an appointment and before any design could be drawn up they would have to come to see the kitchen. How would I know what I want without having an idea of what was available. Very disappointed.

well as usual painful ..I can not believe they put their dry wall on racks !! It's very hard to slide this stuff out of a rack, they obviously DON'T care about their staff, bad for shoulder's and wrist's plus, dangerous and very slow when helping a customer retrieve sheets, it used to be stored on spacer's in large drive-thru area which was great ! so whatever manager changed it to rack's why don't YOU go take some out of the rack and see for yourself

Shop at Kent quite a bit. My biggest problem with Kent is treatment. As I am Handicapped I was trying to go out the entrance,ONE time the woman opened the doors for me.but usually they just say I have to walk around. Being that my car is parked close to the entrance I have more walking to do then I need. They and other businesses in Charlottetown don't.seem to care if you have a hard time doing what.normal people take for granted. In other city even banks will ask if you would like to use another teller and they open one for you. Little things like that help people like us. Thank you.

The manager of this store is very dishonest. A couple of times I've bought, and returned defective products only to find exactly what I returned back on the shelf for someone else today buy.
