Good place to go for a variety of items that you normally wouldn't see together at one store. There is everything from paint and supplies to lumber ,kitchen gadgets and neat gift ideas .if you watch the flyer there Is really good deals on seasonal items. Staff has always been helpful and I have made a few returns without any issues over the years. The only drawback for me is that I quite often forget they are there and go to the other larger chain stores.

I like Home Hardware. I prefer to shop Canadian when I can and they rarely let me down. I use the bigger box stores when necessary but if I just need a tool or supplies I go to HH. Once again the staff were knowledgeable and helpful. I needed a specific and odd part so I went to the department. The gentleman that helped me clearly was out of his element but he cheerfully did his best and between us we solved it together. The staff seem to care even if they aren't experts in the entire store which is understandable and appreciated. 4 star only because I do sometimes have to go to HD for larger grab-and-go items but again, this isn't a negative; Just a reflection of the big box / locally owned supply chain incongruity.

I had a concern while I was there and asked to speak with the manager. She was basically snippy to the point of being rude. I have found with Home Hardware stores you either get great service or totally incompetent staff, and on occasion out and out rudeness. Better staff training and spending the money to hire more qualified, knowledgeable and professional staff in general would help. I think I've given up on Home Hardware stores and whenever possible I will drive the extra distance to go elsewhere from now on.
