My mother took today off from nursing at grand river hospital because ot was her birthday and she wanted to buy a simple list. At your establishment my mother was denied her entrance to your store when displaying her nursing badge and was treated unkindly. She left and proceeded to attempt to place her order over the phone. To which she was rudely told she had to pay with her Visa card and was unable to use her gift card over the phone, she offered to pay with the gift card in store on picking up her order and the customer service agent rudely demanded her Visa information in response. Upon hearing this I attempted to go purchase the items in her place and the staff was either nowhere to be seen or would not provide me help or show me where the items were located. All my mother wanted was to relax and do her gardening for her birthday. Way to show support to first line workers Sheridan. I am appalled and my mother still does not have her 3 single plants she wanted

My go to place for all plant needs, indoors and outdoors. Selection is fantastic, prices are reasonable, and there is plenty of friendly and helpful staff. On site parking can get busy at peak times but it's not a huge deal.

Great selection of plants. And guarantee for three months! They keep ur purchases online incase u dont have the bill. (if plant dies u return it for money back) Patio furniture, nik nacs and clothes! Love that selection. Bring in larger sizes. Many small and xsmall sizes only, italian clothing is made very small! When in store like u are in a rainforest with the high humidity! Great for the skin lol!!

Great selection of both indoor and outdoor plants. If you want a bonsai tree they have by far the largest selection around locally and all are very healthy and well pre formed. If you need it they probably have it for all you indoor or outdoor gardening needs. Staff are always helpful.

Went here today to have them look at my rubber plant that was slowly starting to lose its leaves. They took the time to repot it with new soil and to walk me through how to properly water it. I couldn't believe how much time and focus the staff members gave me. It was really nice to have someone answer all my questions, not rush me or try to over sell me on anything I didn't need. The staff was knowledgeable and so friendly and willing to help. Will go back.

Beautiful selection but the staff is a little too persistent on making a sale. My husband and I asked a simple question which turned into a half hour sales pitch. It was very annoying, I asked several times if we could keep looking just the two of us but it was nearly impossible to get a word in. I ended up leaving to continue to browse while she sold my husband on something I didn’t want.

This nursery has a huge selection of everything including outdoor living pieces. We have purchased many of our annuals, and perennials here. They also have an amazing ladies selection. Check this place out for hostess gifts too.

They are not doing very well with their Covid protocols. was wearing a form fitting face covering that accommodated my beard and face hair and I was refused entry unless I wore one of their provided paper masks, which provided next to no protection as it was wide open to the air around my face and beard. The whole time I was there I felt unsafe with the crowds of people around. I would have left and gone elsewhere but I was there too late in the day to go somewhere else. Staff was polite, but their Covid protocols are lacking. I will shop here again, but not until after Covid is over.

I went to get a plant repotted. The person they have to do that refused because she thought my plant was too small and it would "shock" it. She couldn't explain to me why more dirt would hurt my plant. And then they ultimately overcharged me for the pot I bought (found out when I got home). However, they do have a great selection of plants, including some exotic things, and I've never seen anything unhealthy.

I come here when I need some advice on my plants but I find it very pricey to shop here. I find the same products elsewhere for half the price most of the time, so it's hard to pay that much more for the same product. I also feel that half the time I have a positive experience with lovely staff and the other half is not so positive.

Great collection of indoor and outdoor plants here. We had the pleasure and expertise of one of their staff help us choosing and potting the plants. The lady who helped us out, I forget her name but I’m surely going to go back and post it here soon. She is incredibly knowledgeable, very kind and understanding and always smiling. If I could give more stars I would just because of the service we received.

This place is incredible. The very best genetic selection across a multitude of plants. There is a guy there named Kyle(?) that really knows his stuff. This guy can answer almost anything and if he can't he knows who can. Top notch customer service at all times.

An amazing place! So many decoration articles that my bank account would weep if I hadn't had to go back to Germany with just cabin baggage. I love plants and this place is so list with beautiful life! I spent a week trying to find a ponytail pom tree and they have one for 10$! It's very cheap and looks gorgeous! Service was again very helpful! I recommend going there, they don't only have plants but they also have other beautiful items for sale. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming, it also had a cozy but refreshing feeling to it.

I visit Sheridan most months just to see the seasonal goodies! The staff is knowledgeable & their plant specimens are healthy. It is a smaller nursery but they manage to carry a fair variety. The return policy is good as long as you keep your receipts! Prices can be a little on the higher side but the convenience of the location in the city makes it worth it. Recommend people check it out!

Upon arrival at your fine establishment, I was greeted by an employee named " Ibrahim ". He told me that I could not enter without a mask. I proceeded to tell him that I could not wear one due to my health issues. That did not matter to him and he told that they had visors available. I said " fine then, give me a visor ". "12.98" was his answer and I said no thanks, I I am not paying for it. He told me to leave so I said that I was going to take care of it and he proceeded to follow me to my vehicle while he was provoking me into a fight. He kept asking me if I was threatening him. No customer service here.

Love visiting this nursey. My first shopping experience was via phone during the lockdown over the winter and I was able to purchase a beautiful fiddle leaf fig and new planter over the phone. I was very happy with the plant they chose for me and the service over the phone was so nice. I have since gone back to buy more plants in person (mocalme, peace lilly, and bonsai) and very happy with everything I have purchased and all the staff I have encountered.

See this is where'd I'd like google to break down the rating.... This nursery is always stocked with stuff, and has LOTS of variety and if I can't find what I need I can usually find something close (needed a winter gem box wood.... They had a green velvet box wood.... Close enough for my purposes) but they are a pricey place to shop... even by nursery standards. Overall, I would recommend it, maybe just save up for a couple weeks before you go!

They keep your purchases on file and you just need to bring back a piece of the dead plant and they refund you.

Staff are super friendly all the time: they're always willing to help and answer any questions you may have. During my particular visit, I had an issue with a couple of plants not surviving winter and they credited me, no problem. I appreciated the lack of hassle, to be sure. It's certainly not the cheapest nursery in the city, but the experience is consistently great.

Initially I had a problem happen with a juniper bonsai tree that I bought from Sheridan Nurseries, and although the first experience wasn’t what I was expecting when trying to get care instructions and expert advice or to try to exchange the tree, after writing a review about my experience and frustrations, they had resolved it within a few days and made my exchange a seamless experience. My first impression with Sheridan might not have been what I was expecting, but they did not stop to try and make it better once I had voiced my problem. Customer satisfaction is definitely one of Sheridan’s top priorities and I will be buying plants from them again because of this. Thank you!

They're open year round which is great to be able to get supplies i need, any time. The staff here are usually helpful and they offer a great guarantee on most of their spring/summer plants. I've had great success with their plants and recently purchased some beautiful orchids for the winter months. They offer a great variety of decorative product as well which is a great added touch.

I cannot say enough good things about this establishment. Every experience I've had there has been extremely pleasant. I have even brought in a plant I didn't purchase from there to get a diagnosis on what had happened to it, and they didn't even bat an eye to explain what went wrong and proceeded to help me through it. You do pay a little bit of a premium on their plants, but that's because of the expertise they contribute to ensure it'll be a long time addition to your household. Would gladly pay extra for the amazing service and quality plants!

Went in looking for a snake plant and there was one scraggly-ass plant sitting in the back somewhere. The guy working (at least I think he was, since nobody else came over to help) said there was some sort of shortage because of a disease down in Florida. Okay then, darn. Later that day I went to Belgium nursery and picked a beautiful snake plant out of their selection of probably 200+ plants of various sizes.

I went here to purchase a pot for my cactus and was asked if I could wear a mask upon entry. I told the young girl that I fall into an exempt category. She allowed me in. After a few minutes of shopping, another man comes up to me very aggressively and says they don't allow any exemptions and that I have to wear a mask. I asked him to clarify - does Sheridan Nurseries discriminate against people who are exempt from the bylaw? He said that's not the bylaw, so I offered to show him the text. He said that it was their business policy and they're allowed to discriminate. I was appalled by such a store policy that is in contravention to the bylaw, and such a rude manner in accosting a customer. I have reported the store to bylaw and will take my business elsewhere.

They have everything you'll need for gardening or yard work, and they were pretty much the only garden center in town that still had cedar mulch, which has sold out pretty well everywhere. A 5 star review both for having the thing I needed, and for quickly and easily handling an unrelated refund request.

Have been going to this nursery for years, but was put in a very uncomfortable spot when ...my self provided face mask was deemed as unacceptable for them to provide me services. When the bylaw just states any face covering is acceptable, I refused you guys my business and wont be coming back. How do I know that the masks you provide are clean and safe for me to use? For my own personal peace of mind I will be avoiding this place in the future.

I purchased two mandevilla plants for $40 on May 6th, 2021. The care and tips card attached to it showed white flowers. My intention was to purchase white. This morning I got my first flower and noticed it was pink in color instead of white. I returned to the store May 17th ( today) and was told I could not get a refund as I was one day over the 10 day policy return. . I did not wish to exchange it as all the others in the store were pink. I will not be returning to this nursery as there are many more nurseries out there who actually want to satisfy their customers! I will also be telling my gardening club friends about this experience.

Great selection of plants but the customer service especially with the younger staff needs to improve. Quite a few don't know the species or the correct pricing if the plants on sale. We ended up putting our plants back because they couldn't get it right.

Sheridan nurseries has excellent plants and a great selection. They also tap into a great growing network so you are going to get very high quality plants from the oldest nurseries in Canada. The service, though friendly is often inadequate and thus the 4 star rating. You can find yourself waiting around for help as it is understaffed at peak times. Otherwise, great!

Amazing customer service, tons of variety. My only suggestion is to update their website. I was trying to find a cactus but their site said they didn't have any so I bought it elsewhere. When I did show up to Sheridan they actually had cactus for cheaper than what I paid.

I have always been impressed with Sheridan, from the quality of the plants to the incredible product guarantees. Recently, my sister and I fell in love with these adorable glass jellyfish shaped air plant holders that we saw on their facebook page. But when we went to buy them, they were sold out. Staff suggested I leave my name and number and they would call when they restocked. I kept calling to check back and a staff member offered to call around and see if she could find two at another location. Well she did, and she even got them in the colour we wanted! Amazing customer service! Thank you! Can't wait to give my sister hers!

I drove for over an hour to get here because when I spoke to Martina R., Assist. Manager, I was so happy with her knowledge of what I wanted to do and she was willing to take the time to show me and thoroughly explain how to do it right. I bought my daughter a $39.99 Hydrangea plant for her birthday. It was huge and beautiful. Too bad it lasted only a week before all the flowers and leaves fell off!! It had been taken care of perfectly but obviously something was wrong with it. My husband and I also bought a shrub which is also now dead. A recurring theme for items bought here. Not shopping at this nursery again.

Found a hard to find grafted stone fruit. Also bought 2 other grafted fruit trees to match the ones I already had. Found both a 5 in one apple that matched my other tree as well as a 4 in one cherry that matched my other tree. Although the Stella branch had severe damage and I'm not sure if it will make it. Thank goodness they have a 2 year warranty. If the Stella branch doesn't live I will exchange it next year.

I have a giant garden. I can find anything there that I might be looking for, whatever my new plans for it might be each year. They have an awesome collection of rose hybrids. Some of the less popular perennials, I can always find there.

This is a nice greenhouse to walk through but beware: there are thrips on many of their plants. I've seen all stages of thrips on their philodendron as well as all over their Africa violets. Their guarantees are excellent and there has always been a no fuss exchange or return made, but be cautious of any plants you bring home as they could very well spread pests to your collection. I know that pests are always present in greenhouses, but they don't seem to be well managed here because I see them all the time while visiting.

The worst place to go into. Prices are to far fetched even when on sale. But the worst part of it was when going to cash out. The cashier was rude about how I had my mask on. I have a medical condition which I have my mask on just right under my nose it hasn't not been an issue in all the stores I have been in. This kid made a deal out of and said he didn't have to process my sale if I wouldn't correct my mask. Yet this kid kept cashing me out. Really. If it would have been an issue the staff at the entrance would have said something but they didn't so give me a break kid.

Stood around and waited quite a while for apparently the only employee who can process a return while 4 other employees stood around right in front of me chatting. This was after I'd made this second trip to the store as the first time I did not bring my cell phone and the notice on the door says to call a number for returns. I did so today and was told to just come in so the second trip was unnecessary. Entered and stated I would like to return an item. The employee who radioed the required employee did not relay what was said on the radio and just kinda wandered away after he spoke on the radio. I assumed some one was coming. Then they only offered store credit for my unopened, unused item purchased during the height of covid because I didnt return it within 10 days during the height of covid. Really? Haven't had any issues at any other stores. Just left. Ridiculous customer service. Won't be returning.
