Drove over from out of town and nobody was in the store. When someone finally came in, they were too busy chatting to another customer to even acknowledge me or the other customer in the store. I REALLY want to support local businesses and that's why I did not go straight to home depot, but I ended up having to because I had a 30 minute window of time and half of it was spent waiting to ask someone a question here. Sad. Good selection though, some prices are missing though.

It's a small place but they had a surprisingly big selection/variety of tomatoes. The guy there was super friendly and very helpful. Don't be afraid to ask if you're looking for something as they have greenhouses in the back too.

This garden center is tucked in behind Home Depot across from Chinook Mall. We love the selection especially since they expanded into the space next door.

We finally put in a greenhouse late last season (something we have wanted to do since 2008), and after much shopping around in person and online, we decided to make a purchase locally from Garden Retreat. The price was right, and a year later (2014) I can say that we are very, very happy with our greenhouse. We also paid for installation (another reasonable cost), which included a heavy wooden base - very worth the money in our case, with our uneven yard! Between the small kids and our unlevel yard, it would have taken us forever to install ourselves. This year I spent a month in the spring after all the snow melted, building raised beds for the interior, and adding an arbour for vines. About 1000 lbs of soil later, and we have an excellent area for some very happy plants. We got the largest greenhouse we could afford for the space we had, a freestanding straight-sided Magnum 148. The automatic vents have been working beautifully, and in fact made it clear to us that we might well be able to start planting in the early spring before all the snow has melted - finally we have an outdoor space with a long growing season. The install went well, despite some very hot weather and three curious young kids wanting to check things out. A simple platform step was also made for us for the outside and the inside of the greenhouse, easy access! We are very happy with our purchase and the service from Garden Retreat!

I can’t say enough good about the folks at Garden Retreat! We needed a small greenhouse to fit our small yard, and they had a number of their products set up outside at the shop to walk through. We ended up chatting with Stacey, who patiently answered all of our questions and made the whole process so accessible and simple. We bought the one we’d been looking at online, and later scheduled installation. Steve came by our house with another really kind gentleman and between the two of them they had removed sod, laid landscape fabric, placed rocks, created a foundation with lumber, and assembled the greenhouse within the day! They were polite, kind, and so respectful of our space. I will recommend Garden Retreat to anyone looking for help with a greenhouse!

Super friendly, go-to smaller store for soil gardening supplies. They sell Garland gardening products (imported from UK)! These seedling trays, garden trays and lids are a lot nicer than the normal seedling trays you get from local suppliers. Very good quality.

I was happy that a Google search for garden veggie seedlings near my home suggested this little treasure of a store. They have many varieties of vegetables, herbs and flowers, plus heirloom seeds, irrigation, decor, statuary and fountains, and growing equipment. I was able to find different varieties of zucchini plants, asparagus roots, Brussels Sprouts seedlings, seed potatoes, and much more. They also have a wonderful selection of flowers, fruit and berry trees, and succulents. You can also order worm farms, ladybugs and beekeeping equipment from them. A very unique store!

Had some unique whimiscal metal works, starter plants, pots and stands. What I liked, because I am a gardener, was the availability of unique airloom seeds. They also sell work related foot wear. Expensive, but my daughter-in-law has them, and says they are great for your legs and back if you are on your feet all day.

Recently bought some 8mm polycarbonate panels for our our 5x10 custom greenhouse. They cut the panels for us while we waited, minimizing the amount of cutting I did at home. The panels are so light and easy to cut (you could cut them with a utility knife if you had to). The aluminum extrusions they carry made installing them even easier. Very pleased!
