Sonia was an absolute dream to work with. Very good customer service skills. I let the nursery know I am vulnerable and self isolating during COVID, and they worked hard to arrange my order and help me get the deliveries I need to work on my yard during this awful time. It really means a lot to me to be able to work in the garden while I am stuck at home. Sonia took me around the nursery with a large plant list, sent me photos and talked me through substitutions that work in a shady space. Everything was confirmed via email and my order was delivered within a week with soil, tools, and plants. REALLY THANK YOU SW. You have made my month and I will be a loyal customer for life!

Good variety of sands, gravels, and soils. I only have a car, so I filled up a bunch of contractor garbage bags with my shovel and threw them in.

There not perfect. But as a landscaper I can tell you that they are beloved by the community because there selection, location and service is great. It's admirable to see this family run business being run so professional. You can tell they really try to be better every day. There definetly special there definitely rememberable and I tip my hat to them because they have succeeded at a truly unique business in a bland forgettable marketplace. Great customer service and everyone is very friendly. I believe this is a family run business, great to see clean and organized facilities with lots of staff on hand. Lots of landscaping supplies available. I was running behind on my last load and they were willing to stay after hours for me to help load up my trailer. Couldn't ask for better service. Came to check them out for the first time and had an fantastic experience. Great customer service, picked up some local grass seed and fertilizer. They have a large supply of high quality gardening tools as well. Bulk soil products also look like they're good quality. Will definitely come back in the future!

Purchased veggie mix and turf blend soil from SW Garden Supplies a few weeks ago. Good and professional service and good price. The soils looked nice and smelled great (lol), however as another reviewer said until I started using it and sifting through, there are quite some plastic chips and bag fragment in the soil. We let the turf blend to into the lawn, but I insisted to go through the veggie blend and pick every individual piece I can find after all you wouldn't want to eat plastics. I was happy with the purchase at first but after this we most likely would not buy again.

I would avoid this place. Couple years ago had issue where amount of gravel delivered was not what was order. They refused to listen or do anything. Fast forward to today and against my better judgement I called them again for soil. I needed it on short notice to spread 4" for new sod. They recommended the soil, when it arrived it looked ok, but as we spread it so much wood chips and sticks in it(talking 2-3" long), plus lots of small plastic bag type material. Definitely selling crap soil, we are done, although they are 3 min drive from our house.

Lots of Garbage in top dressing for lawns! I purchased a couple of yards of top dressing from southwest May 1, 2018 and spread it over my lawn. Then fertilized, over-seeded and watered it in. Next day, inspected my work only to find lots of garbage all over my lawn. Plastic bag bits, hard plastic bits, broken glass, fruit stickers etc. I called in right away and got a long winded explanation about how the soils are tested and meet landscape standards. They said the soil comes from composted materials at the vancouver land-fill. They said it’s heat treated and only a few pieces of plastic “may” have slipped through. I can understand a few bits of garbage but within a 2’x2’ square I found 15-20 bits. I also found a 5” piece of metal. I inspected my lawn very carefully before adding the southwest lawn dressing. I de-thatched by hand and know there was not a single piece of plastic or garbage in my yard. Do not buy the lawn dressing!!! Response to owner: It is irrelevant to me where you purchase your material from. Your explanation doesn’t change the fact my lawn is now covered in garbage. Your company did refund my purchase but what about the time I must now take to clean my yard? I do not wish to continue an on-line debate with you about his matter. I posted my review to make other potential customers aware of the risks in purchasing composted soils from your company. You are welcome to visit my home to see for yourself.

Excellent service, quality of product and delivery. I phoned in for a load of soil yesterday morning and had it by the end of day. The driver was very skilled in depositing the load expertly at the bottom of our steep driveway where it was most convenient. Fair price, excellent company.

Driver was supposed to show between 12 30 and 1 30. Didnt show up untill 2, then refused to do a split dump as there wasn't room for the whole load in one location-didnt care that it's against the law to deposit bulk material on the road. Had to call the owner. Driver was ignorant and chauvinist, as soon a Male approached him he was polite to them. If you own a business I do not reccomend hiring this place simply because they have no regard for your time and your schedule.

We purchased from this family owned business several times throughout the growing season for a number of years, and always appreciated the personal touch to customer service and good prices. Unfortunately, on our last visit there was a dispute when we were getting several yards of soil. We were moving it with a smaller truck and could only take a yard or two at a time, so staff was making note of it on our bill every time we returned. In the middle of our runs between there and the location of our job, someone in the office had marked one of our loads as taken when we went in to check about something else, and when we got out to the yard, someone else marked us for another load and told us we only had one trip left. We explained there was a misunderstanding, but we could sort it quickly enough by checking with the office. They refused to do this and a quick heated argument ensued. They then said they would be refunding us for the loads we hadn't gotten, including the disputed missing one (for whatever reason, they did this STILL without confiming with the office staff there had been a misunderstanding). We were told to take our business elsewhere. We ended up buying our soil from a large chain of garden centres after that, and while it is priced at twice as much per yard, the amount we are given is nearly twice as much as well (?) so it all works out. I am giving 2 stars rather than 1, simply because we had great service up until the time of the dispute. That said, we were put in a position where we could have been shorted material we paid for, and they refused to take the 30 seconds needed to sort out the misunderstanding. While they did end up giving us our money back, it took an unnecessary argument, we were refused any further service by them, and we had to go elsewhere that day just to complete our work. None of this was necessary.

Horrible quality soil! We have been really disappointed. Tons of garbage in the soil plus weird fungus which is out of control. Search "dog vomit fungus" and that is what to expect with their soil. Soil was from April 2021 delivery. They really left our gardener hung out to dry.
