I've emailed the Burlington location multiple times without a response. I completed a curbside pickup at this location recently. Initially the attendant placed the wrong order in my trunk, thankfully I checked. Then, gave me an empty bird feeder box. I emailed with no response. I called and they told me to come back. I went back the next day, they put a different feeder (much larger) in my trunk. And did not apologize, or allow for any discussion to properly resolve the issue. I went home and realised the feeder was too large for my parent's balcony. I emailed them again without a response. I ended up buying the correct bird feeder on Amazon. Going to give this giant feeder to a friend or donate it. I really felt ignored, this was the poorest customer service experience I have ever received. I

I couldn't believe the size of the place. The assortment and variety of plants and decor offered is amazing!!!! I found just what I was looking for! Friendly staff as well. The only thing I was a bit shocked to find was the price of their perennials. I am not from this area.....where I am located ( south of Windsor ont) the price differences are drastically lower for such plants as boxwood for example. I can purchase this plant at 15" for $8-15.....& I found one at Terra garden center for $120. ???? I understand cost and demand as well as availability is different from location to location and this has a lot to do with this price inflation.

Great selection of plants. The parking area is a good size, but it does fill up quickly in the spring and summer, so go early for less congestion. Prices are definitely on the higher end, but there are a nice variety of plants that are less commonly found in the garden sections of the regular home improvement stores. Staff are usually very friendly and helpful.

Terra Burlington is like a weekly stop for us. The staff are very friendly, they welcome dogs so we always bring both our pets with us and the staff enjoy them and they enjoy the interaction. Good selection and variety on plants, staff is knowledgeable, they however do not offer planting services. During COViD lineups are a bit shorter in Burlington compared to Oakville. Stop by and pick up a plant or two.

Good selection, well spaced out. Wish there was more description for what plants are in the big planters for clueless people like me. (For example I took a guess which planters were Full Sun vs Shade loving) Normally I would ask but all staff were busy at the time. The cashier was knowledgeable and let me know which kind I had. Awesome place to shop for the Garden and decorate it as well. Their In and Out procedures were contradictory as you had to go across the out line to pump the Purel onto your hands b4 going in. Accidentally walked into their open air yard due to confusing signage that said that the store was closed for public but the soils yard was open. Oh boy! Didn’t I get yelled at and chased out by some yahoo like I was some criminal. He was trembling in indignation and pointing his finger out like archangel Michael kicking out Adam and Eve. And that’s on the same day when the neigbour Connon Nurseries and Holland Park nursery open their doors in full swing. Attitudes like this will not help Terra to maintain their customer base. I will not feel sorry for them if that particular branch in Burlington goes bankrupt. Well deserved.

Beautiful greenhouse with a variety of plants, flowers, trees, and bushes. Has everything you need for outdoor or indoor gardening, landscaping materials, and planter combinations. Massive variety with reasonable prices. Some flowers and plants pricier than other stores but quality looks great. Greenhouse is smartly laid out with lots of room to either browse or push around carts. Some areas are covered while others uncovered. Check-out is quick and staff are efficient if you need help carrying things to your car (such as bags of soil). Highly recommended to check out the place.

I used to be a customer for years at Terra...recently I bought annabelle hydrangea and was happy when I received them... I planted them and ordered more...in few days they died and when i got the second orderbit looked different... i called them and they said the first order was for the indoor typ and second one for outdoor...they used exactly the same description without mentioning "for indoor" at all...they refused to resolve their mistake by replacing the plants nor issuing refunds...i just disputed this with my credit card company and Terra chose to lose a customer. Great selection of product and online order processing is super simple. Curbside pick up is a chaotic and a bit of a disaster at the moment. As the first appointment of the day, I waited 55 minutes for a 3 sku order which I learned was incorrect when I got home. Staff weren't helpful in resolving the issues while I was on-site, or off-site. I'm sure a great company like Terra will sort out the curbside pickup and it's important to remain patient while businesses adjust to a new way of fulfilling orders, but there's no excuse for unhelpful employees and poor customer service.

Went looking for a specific plant for my office. They knew exactly what I described but did not have one. They then called there other location. When that was also a bust they took me all around the tropical plants offering good suggestions. In the end I did not get what I wanted but I did get what I needed. Terra's is a good place to visit. It wasn't busy when I went there today. I needed advise on how to get rid of Japanese Beetles. They're invading my pretty Rose of Sharon tree. I walked around to see what they had. Some pretty nice clothing on sale and some new fall clothing was going out on racks. I checked out all the plants...if only I had the room for more. However I did buy a beautiful purple orchid. It was a little tattered on a few leaves but hopefully I can nurse it back to perfect health. It was in a black ceramic pot and on sale for $5.00!!!! How could I not buy it??? Anyway, all in all an enjoyable hour spent browsing.

Last year in September 2020 when our patio was finished we planted four cedars two from Connon Nurseries that our landscaper bought, and two from Terra Nurseries that we purchased. All four were planted in the same location in the same soil and were given the same care. BOTH of the cedars from TERRA DIED! The replacement guarantee was not honoured by Terra, even though their tag was still on the dead cedar.

So disappointed in this Terra. Went to the Hamilton location to pick up sod which they had none of. Called the Burlington location who said they had 60 rolls available. Asked them to hold 10 and was told there was no need as it would be there. Drove there immediately and they had none left. A total waste of gas and time. Spend thousands this summer at this business and referred tons of people. You no longer have my business.

Excellent variety of perennials, shrubs, trees, garden decor etc. I've frequented this location for years, it a short distance from our home. Though recently, I've found their customer service has declined. I stopped by to return a failed bridal wreath speria- they are guaranteed to grow and flourish or your money back. I guess they don't expect people to take them up on the offer. The shrub was uprooted and placed in a plastic bag. The policy did state they need an original recpiet to initiate the return- something I misplaced. Who holds on to these slips of paper? Common mistake, the plant clearly had the Terra price tag intact. 1st request with a cashier manning the "solution center", Kayla I believe. Rude, cold shoulder, not willing to help or show empathy. "There's nothing I can do", typical story. I called for a manger, this girl obviously had little experience, you don't treat customers like that. Manager was more professional and friendly- offered 50% credit. I was more than pleased, it was my negligence, but clear proof was provided by the price tag. They eventually gave me a new shrub to replace it, which I was pleased with. The male cashier tells me, like I'm a child "just this one time, managers are closing in on that" and rudely walks away. Frankly, I don't care about your manager, I came in with a concern and the burden of a dug up shrub. I got the credit. But you've lost my business and the good word to my friend. Doubt I will be back. Try Home Depot! Train your staff the be more respectful, and maybe one day I'll be back.

Extremely disappointed! I ordered stuff online and they cancelled the order due to being sold out without even telling me. How can any stores nowadays not know how many items they have in stock?? And then not even notifying the customer. If I wouldn't have called a week later I would still be waiting for the pick-up confirmation. That's not acceptable.

REALLY BAD! Phoned ahead for some white flowers; when we got there (20 minutes later), they did not have any - NEVER had any. Waisted about 1 hour of our time. PLUS - way too many people there - ABSOLUTELY NO SD CONTROL. Wish I could put in a minus rating!

This is not based on their product, but the set up if your only looking too pick up bags that are placed into your car....poor set up..had too wait in line up to get in store and line up too pay. Had you had a debit machine outside I would have been able too drive thru without ever having to have exited my vehicle or wait in line. Maybe back

I purchased 2 plants a few days ago. Since I've brought them home (not watered or transferred) I noticed the Creeping Jenny has spider mites and the Calla Lily started to leak water and turn mushy. When I dug it up to inspect, I discovered the bulb was mushy and diseased. Complete waste of my time and money.

Terrible customer service. Let me tell you there's some hick lady (at least mid forties, bleach blonde long hair...) who was so incredibly rude. I can tell all her co-workers are APPALLED by her presence. My family & I came to Terra to pick out some plants for our house and it was our first time going there and we weren't sure where to go to get these plants and she snapped when we asked for directions. Never ever going back... hope they get rid of her. I'm going to take my business back to Holland Gardens!

Well I have been shopping at Terra for over 15 years and have always enjoyed my experience and loved the selection and on any other opportunity I would have given a 5 star rating. Due to COVID19 I have been very cautious and have really not gone shopping at all but with Terra's COVID updates about how they will be implementing new processes and was very impressed with what I had read in an email I received and felt that I would be comfortable making Terra one of my first shopping experience during this new normal. I decided to visit the Burlington store yesterday as this is one of the smallest locations and was a little disturbed that they did not make face masks mandatory for all clients. With this being said we just tried to be safe with our masks and did not go near clients who did not share in our fear. I guess what blew me away was that many of the staff members and I would say approx 40% were wearing their masks in correctly. Some had their mouths covered but not their noses. Some had them under their chin while talking to fellow employees within a small area. I watched two staff members at the front who were there to ensure people would sanitize prior to entry just allow approx 6 people pass through without sanitizing. I appreciate that it is a very difficult time for any business employing a young staff but would like to think that the manager of the store would be on the floor ensuring not only your clients safety but your employee safety. I wish you all the best and I hope you take the above comments as constructive criticism and implement stronger guidelines for at least your employees

Placed an online order to pickup 4 hydrangeas. Service was quick but the plants were not in great condition. Leafs had dried and fallen off the bottom part of all 4 plants. I had purchased similar from in store and they were so healthy. This was my first time doing online order pickup and will not do it again if they provide such poor health plants. I go to Terra Milton all the time and it's great. Never did an online order there so don't know if this was just for Burlington location or if it's similar everywhere if you place online order.

I am so impressed with the organization and precautions being taken by Terra during these times! It was so nice to see all of the staff wearing masks and giving hand sanitizer as we entered, respecting space throughout the store and making checkout very easy. Great job!

This place is absolutely unsafe. Employees never bother keeping 2 m distance either indoors or outdoors, they even wouldn't wait until you pass. Cashier area is a mess, we even could not find a way to the line and had to leave the cart with our plants were it was. There is no enough room to walk with big and heavy carts and keep a distance . Everything is blocked with stands and groups of employees who are too busy chatting with each other. Music is so loud that everybody has to yell to each other. How do people work there all day?

I usually get my sod from dirt depot, this was the first and last time I will ever buy sod from Terra. The sod was cut too low, the thickness of the sod is about half of what I usually get, and the sod is half dead. I couldn't tell because of how dirty it was. It was rolled terribly, and had holes throughout all of the pieces. Worst sod I have ever worked with. On top of that it was more expensive as well. I'd like to know if I can return it.
