A competitor (who has great costumer service) suggested I try Nicholas Alexander for a garden product they had sold out. I telephoned NA in advance, and got no reply, so I went to the store to discover they were closed,at 3:30 pm on a Monday. This was despite the website, phone message, and storefront indicating they were open “fall hours”, of 9 am to 5:30 pm, 7 days a week. While I was standing outside, confused, someone came to the door, told me they were closed for the season, and when I asked to buy the product I saw through the window anyway, declined me. The next day, someone different telephoned reiterating they were closed for the season. When I indicated all of the above information said otherwise, I was met with a rude response and then hung up on. I am sorry this business made such a poor customer service decision over seed garlic, because I will be sharing my unfortunate experience widely, and discouraging future customers.

Really, this place is great; however, they don’t answer their phone. You will get a message saying that they don’t take calls. I find this really frustrating that a local business would not answer their calls. Unfortunate.

My favorite place to get house plants and advice for caring for them. Before I visited for the first time I thought I couldn't keep plants alive, ends up I was just getting plants already on the way out. Now I'm starting to get over run by all my happy plant babies. Wether your looking for indoor plants our outdoor Nicolas Alexander's is seriously the best place to go.

This place is fantastic at Christmas time. You walk into a festive entrance and have a warm feeling of Christmas come around you as you look around at all the trees and decorations. Such a site to see. When you go to their outdoor Christmas trees they are great quality and look amazing.

Had an amazing visit to this tucked away garden center!! I was on a mission looking for an apricot tree. I don't have any kind of green thumb, like many others, I only wanted to grow my own appricots. A staff member who called her self "the bee lady" was amazing!!! She was super knowledgeable about the trees and helped me pick out the right tree for my yard. I'm also very interested in bee keeping and she gave me the 101 on mason bees which I've never heard of until that day. You can buy boxes of mason bees from the center as well. The "bee lady" had great a wealth of knowledge, very friendly and helpful. Customer service was top notch. I love the atmosphere and decor in the store. Displays are very well thought out and very attractive. They have a large variety of plants, trees and pots. Lots of garden knickknacks as well as a clothing store in the back with a lot of super cute items. I highly recommend and this garden center and will definitely be back.

Im going to start off by saying I have ADHD/Autism. I have SEVERE mental health issues. I started up with plants again this year to make my home something worth living in, to help me with my disorders and a reason to live and be productive each day. I have enjoyed learning about them and recording each day of new growth. Part of being Neurodivergent is there are no baby steps, it’s all or nothing. So I ended up killing nearly $250 of plants because of not being knowledgeable enough, and I am in quite the state. I have spent 35 hours cleaning root rot off every single plant, clipping them back, and replanting them properly in new soil. I’m devastated and hoping I can save any of them. I went into the store today to replace my peace lily, the one thing that really hurts the most out of all of my plants. I was obsessively inspecting any plant for any signs of anything and I asked to speak to a manager because I’m terrified to buy a plant that might be sick or have bugs that will infect the rest. At first the ladies who were helping me seem worried I was going to accuse them of having bad plants and asking for them for free. They were VERY frustrated at first and didn’t know how to approach me as I tried to communicate the best I could what it was I was worried about. It was very busy in the store but the manager took her time to try to listen to me and help me out as best she could, even admitting that sometimes she makes mistakes too and it made me feel understood and heard. She then brought me to another lady who knew way more than she did and this woman was so kind, patient and knowledgeable. I’ve been having such a hard time lately and this lady gave me the hug that I have been needing now for so long. It’s so hard for me to go into public spaces, I frequently have panic attacks and meltdowns. These three women treated me with such kindness and I am so thankful. They reminded me that it’s okay to make mistakes and it will happen and to keep going. These plants are my family and I look forward to saying good morning to them every day and I’m so glad someone else could see how much I love them. Thank you so much ladies ❤️

The Madagascar Jasmine is beautifully scenting my living room and a little colour pop with the pretty Clematis. The mushroom kit was a surprise, excited to give it a try.

This is the type of business you feel great about supporting. Family owned and operated, amazing staff and knowledge, such a happy and uplifting vibe and just great in all aspects. My wife and I have a small property and everything we need to make it how we like has been available here, not to mention the great suggestions from the staff that have helped so so much. FYI: I noticed that the nursery supports many local events too, a small business that gives back directly to our community is amazing and deserves our support. The Christmas magic that used to be present when it was Art Knapps..is no longer there. Lots of Xmas stuff..but it just isn't the same. Maybe the evening shopping is better? Lots of lights strung but unfortunately not visible due to the white coloured walls..with lots of white fixtures..but alas..no ambience of Christmas.

This is a great little plant shop. They have a fairly extensive variety of flowers and trees. All the things needed for gardening. Prices are high here as well but the staff are very knowledgeable and go out of their way to help you.

Nick's crew, led by Dave, did an outstanding job on our large landscaping project a couple of years ago, which included construction of a 4' block wall. A problem developed with the block stairs from the top of the wall down to the bottom, as some of the blocks and the slate stones above were sinking back noticeably. It was a challenge getting us into their schedule last summer, but they prioritized us to be first this season. The crew came and did a great job on re-building the stairway. Take-away is that Nicholas Alexander Landscaping stands behind their work and "make it right" without any hassles.
