I have bought most of my fruit trees here. A great spot for that. The only issue I have had is one nectarine tree I bought there died, but they replaced the tree the next spring. I have gotten two peach trees from there as well, and they have done great.

Bought several perennial items from them all but one died, brought only one back and woman looked at me sayinging does not look like I even planted it, I had to point out it was not even in the same original container as there's. That I had dug it up in May but could not return until now do to Covid-19. I had never had any other garden place say I was lying. When I went to select another item in its place, most of their stock perennials was not watered and wilt dying. I will never shop at this place ever again...

I had a terrible experience here. I had already been shopping for about 40 minutes mask free (I have a medical exemption) until the owner approached me very rudely telling me to put on a mask. I calmly explained to her that I have a medical exemption that permits me to not wear one. She continued to speak over me and to tell me she doesn’t care and that it’s her choice and that I need to leave and order online for curbside pickup. I had my cart full. I asked her if she could ring up my order and take my card to process it and she said no. She continued to interrupt me while I spoke. She called me insolent for not wearing a mask. I have never felt so disrespected while shopping. I maintained my distance from people and was respectful. I’m shocked that this business has such a high rating after that experience. Will NOT be returning.

First of all they are over priced. But I can get over that if the product is good. However, I went today to get some plants for my balcony and there was a line for hours. I was even willing to stand in it, because again, the product is good. However, as I was waiting I found out that they were not accepting people under 16yrs. I had my 6yr old with me. I was infuriated. How the hell are single mothers or fathers supposed to shop if they can't bring their kids??? Myself and at least 7 other people left because of this during the 10 minutes I was there. I can imagine the business lost, not just today, but permanently. I will never go back, and I spent a lot of money there every year. Same on you Walter's.

I find that the price is a bit higher than some other garden centers that I visit especially for things like soil, mulch, rocks etc... Try their annual Canada day penny sale where you can buy one annual for regular price and get the next for a dollar to same some money later in the summer.

I came here once and had a really nice time. I have recommended this place to many and hoped to return again this season however was disheartened and disappointed to find out they discriminate against those who can't wear facial coverings as it poses a danger to their health. I will not be recommending them again and will notify everyone I did recommend of their poor practices and inhumane policies.

This is an open air facility with good ventilation yet does not honour mask exemptions. I was wearing a face shield and was turned away at the door. I was not offered any other options. This is illegal. The few times that I have visited this place staff have been less than friendly. There are so many other places to go in the area. In a county with only a few cases they act as though everyone is highly infective. Little evidence of outdoor transmission anywhere in the world. Ridiculous rules for rules' sake. Don't waste your time. Go next door to Elberta Farm Market for great products and friendly respectful service. Date of experience: May 2021

Apparently the staff here think it is appropriate to hang up on customers when they have a complaint. Unfortunate, since we had a pleasant experience spending nearly $1,000.00 there in one afternoon, with the anticipation of returning to purchase more. I am eagerly awaiting a response to this post from "Diane," the store owner . . . .just read her sarcastic remarks to other posted unsatisfied reviewers, (it was she who hung up on me, and when I called back, another staff member supported the act of hanging up on a customer. . . .unbelievable!!!) Obviously, will NEVER step foot in this establishment again, and obviously, some management courses need to taken . . . unsatisfied customers never remain quiet, and make sure to "warn" family/friends to never shop at such rude and disrespectful stores.

They have a great selection of plants but are not very knowlegable about cacti or succulents. Most of them were labeled as only 3" cactus or 5" succulent etc. not the specific type. And most of them were just planted in regular potting soil, anyone with even a small amount of experience growing cacti and succulents should know to use a proper well draining cactus mix. Even the cacti I bought at Wal-Mart were specifically labeled and in proper soil for a much more reasonable price. $8 for a 3" unlabeled cactus in regular potting soil is far to much for walters to be charging. I recommend specific labeling on all plants and planting them in proper well draining soil...Not just regular potting soil, they need at least some sand and perlite mixed in, then they will be worth the price your charging????. Thank You

The owner Diane is rude and defensive (especially about their trees not lasting) and more or less hung up on me at the end of our conversation (seems to be a habit looking at other reviews). I’ve been a long time Walters customer until today. I was misinformed about warranty by an employee. I bought Mykes and have the green sheet provided but their error is now my problem and I’m stuck with a dead tree because I used a credit to purchase it. I should have used the credit for something with no warranty and paid for the tree to get the warranty but was misinformed by the employee and given everything for the warranty. Horrible customer service. The plants and trees at Walters look nice and are more expensive, unfortunately that doesn’t mean better quality. If an error was made, I would still be upset but probably wouldn’t have posted a review. Diane was really rude and dismissive and that’s the main driver behind my review. Not interested in giving my business to someone like that. There are other options in town that aren’t as big but are cheaper and have far better customer service (especially from the owner).

I purchased a few succulents all were healthy and transplanted into there new pots without any issues. I thought the prices were fair with some great sale items. The sales do not apply to every thing and the staff say they are on sale but the cash have different ideas. You do well to double check what actually is on sale. I have been there 3 times and the last 2 we very frustrating add they wanted to charge more at the cash. Some thing about this tag was on sale but this tag was not..

The quality of the plants is top notch and the variety is outstanding. Be prepared the pricing is reflected in that. I arrived mid morning morning and there was a line up of about 30 folks. It took about a half hour to finally get inside. The greenhouses are well organized, clean and beautiful, healthy plants. The check out was quick although a little painful on the wallet, cashier was very good. My first visit here and it was nice.

Great selection of plants & pots! Staff is very helpful - I was having some issues with my fiddle leaf fig plant and I had about 4 different ladies trying to figure out what was going on and offer suggestions on how to fix it! It’s my go to when I am looking for indoor or outdoor plants!

Shopped for about and hour got over $100 worth of fall decor. Get to the till and they don’t except cash. Only had cash forgot my wallet at home. Will not shop here again. There where not signs when you walk in to say debit or credit only. Waste of time. Got all what I needed a fraction of the cost in Paris. If you can’t but things in cash have a big sign out front.

Communism and ignorance on full display here today. 2 essential workers, me and my wife, along with our 3 young children (all under 5yrs) were threatened with police action for not wearing a mask, even though we are exempt. Kids just wanted to buy some flowers to plant in the garden on a nice spring day, now they are worried the police are coming to get them. Disgusting. Boycott this establishment

I purchased a birch weeping tree and several other bushes and plants. I was told I had a warranty on the tree as well as the Rose a Sharon. The Rose a Sharon took well however my tree lost all of its leaves within a couple weeks. I watered daily. I called about the tree and was told to dig it up and return it. Inconvenient but I did it. When I arrived I was told I was unable to return and I should have been told to email pics first. Extremely frustrating. The tree was $170 and now I have to drive home with a dead tree in my car and no further discussion. I was planning on shopping more today but I will take my dead tree and business elsewhere. Please be aware that even though it is said that you can return you trees/plants. They do not bid by this guarantee.

Always enjoy walking around the greenhouse seeing the beautiful flowers. They have a wide variety of garden ornaments and other accessories you can add to the garden, for that extra personal touch. I always seem to buy something when I am there.
