Awful customer service - gladly takes your money and then does not actually ever come back to complete the work. When you try to follow up (6 phone calls and messages) to an answering service Jim is supposed to call you back and never actually does. Save your money find a reputable company to deal with.

For the second time they didn’t show up for 2 weeks to rake up the leaves for collection. I ended up having to do it so as to not miss the first collection. The city contracts out to a 3rd party to clear leaves from properties twice in in November and again for the second year in a row they missed the first pick up. The collection is mapped out with dates given out last month so there was plenty of time to schedule. It’s just poor scheduling on the company’s part, not really an excuse. Now, I have two ditches full of leaves that will sit until end of November/beginning of December unless it snows then they’ll sit until Spring, but because it’s a ditch, that’s not really an option so now II’m left bagging leaves for regular leaf collection.

Avoid. We contacted The Gardener for a snow plowing quote. The quote came in exceptionally high (~$600 for a single driveway). I called their office to find out what was included. The officer manager was terribly unhelpful and asked if I had even read the quote. She emailed me the price list that outlined their tiers of service. The company insisted that the price list was a confirmation of their services and sent me a bill for $570. When I called to let them know that we had never signed a contract with them, the office manager became aggressive.

DO NOT HIRE GRAHAM JONES. Illegally put his sign up on our lawn without us even knowing this company existed. Reached out to mention that this was wrong, but still willing to give them a chance. Requested a quote. One week later, drove by, took his sign and never responded apologizing or providing a quote. Completely unprofessional. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Big mistake choosing them. Staff is not trained and do not speak English. You can't communicate . Secondly very high priced. Not worth it to pay and after you scrap their mess. These are compacted tire marks created by their plow. You can see the front of driveway is cleaned as their plow do not drive this area . Terminated the contract after giving lame excuses.

The Gardner is a Landscape maintenance and Snow removal services provider. Gardner is a reliable service provider to its clients but do not care for community at large and their trucks have been spotted running over neighbors lawns and driveways while servings their clients.

All of that after they confirmed the deal on paper ????. DON’T trust them, DON’T believe them. It’s a failing business with no service & it deserves a ZERO & a failing mark. For the record Joy the office manager dropped the ball, failed to communicate, failed to follow up & failed to deliver. A manager who has failed to manage.

My neighbor signed contract with The Gardener for years, she recommended them to me. Each time, The Gardener sent emails to updated their removal schedule, the representative available when I contact with them, they came back to remove the snow bank when city coming. The only thing is the price is a little expensive. I would like to recommend The Gardener, they are responsible and reliable..

We decided to obtain the services of The Gardener Mississauga South five years ago after my husband broke his leg. The only good outcome that summer. We haven't looked back since. Fernando, the owner, has been nothing but professional and provides the best customer service. His crew always provides great quality and service. Not only for our grass maintenance but for snow removal as well. Highly recommend their services. We decided to obtain the same service as a gift for my father in law who's elderly.

We've had a lot of experience with contractors over the last year, most of which left us over spent and underwhelmed...until we hired The Gardener, specifically Jim and his stone mason Eric. From start to finish, the quality of work, customer service and work ethic was exceptional. These guys are hardworking, honest, and really focused on making the customer happy. As with any renovation, issues arise. It's how these issues are dealt with that makes the experience most memorable. In our case, despite how small our concern, Jim was quick to address it and put our minds at ease. We were so happy with the exterior stone work they completed for us that we hired them for 2 more jobs (and a few more to come).

We hired this company to clean up our yard and fix some grass. After waiting forever for them to come they showed up for 30 min and left. I had to call them to come back and do the job properly. After a 2and time the job still wasn't done. To top it all off they never returned to fit the grass. Horrible.

Terrible experience with Mississauga South franchise. Very rude and unprofessional - both the crew and the owner. Fenando Da Silva, the owner of this location does not understand the meaning of customer service. I called with a complaint and was met with anger. I was told they weren't interested in hearing complaints and to not call again with any issues. Unbelievable. Find another landscaping company.

BRUTAL customer service!! Called them for a quote to clear out and set up bed area. After receiving a quote via email and speaking to the office multiple times they failed to put a "note" on my customer file for the requested service. Then registered me for a fall clean up package which included 1 grass cut, trimmer and general clean up for $210. NOT THE SERVICE I REQUESTED. Instead of actually pulling the weeds in the flower bed area they cut it with a lawn mower. I cut my own grass weekly or 2 times a week. When I called back and spoke to the office manager and SAMI they said the office failed to add the note and I didn't request the specific service. Instead of coming back to do the work I requested they wanted to charge me $400 more.

We hired The Gardner to completely re-do our front landscaping which was originally done 20 years ago. Our flagstone walkway was crumbling and we weren’t even sure what the concrete would be like underneath. Jim guided us through the entire process and we were fortunate to be able to use the original concrete. The new flagstone walkway and front porch area looks spectacular!! Jim also recommended that we modernize the look by putting “ledger stone” behind the garden area. This would also keep the mulch from running over into the pebble stones. The result looks amazing! We were highly impressed with the workmanship and the crew’s attention to detail. We also decided to replace all of the plants across the front. Again with Jim’s advice, we replaced the Yews but changed our Japanese Red Maple to a Bloodgood Japanese Maple. Everything looks beautiful and we couldn’t be more happy. The work was completed in a timely fashion and the guys were super nice to work with. We would highly recommend The Gardener to anyone!

We had a terrible experience with this company. I'm only giving one star because I have to! My husband hired them to perform general spring lawn maintenance (aerate, top coat, overseed). After arriving unexpectedly, two workers top coated our yard with terrible soil (looked like backfill), sprinkled some seed and left our yard looking worse than when they arrived. When we received the bill and complained, we were told it was our fault there was no improvement because we weren't watering (despite the buckets of rainfall this spring and yes, we watered on top of that). When we said that no aerating had been done, they sent a young worker out (who told us he had never used the tool before) to do the job. We told him not to, since we weren't convinced it would make a difference, had no faith it would be done properly and we wanted to speak to the owner - despite not performing the service, the company still sent us another bill! Do not hire this company - terrible customer service and workmanship.

My neighbours driveway is cleared by this company. All they do is flatten the snow (which packs it down) with the truck shovel and push it to the side. I was going to hire them until i saw that. I hardly call that snow removal. I ended up finding a company that actually gets out of the truck to clean up after the truck goes over the driveway. I also found The Gardener to be more expensive than most places. The length of our driveways is so short compared to older areas of Markham, Unionville & Thornhill where they pay about the same for double driveways. Plus, my neighbour has mentioned multiple times that his driveway is not even completely cleared and he has to get his son to come over and shovel a total of 2.5-3 feet (combined) on the sides for the whole driveway to be cleared. Save your money!

I find the work that Jim, Fiona and their crew do, to be absolutely fantastic. Their prices are fair and the work is beautiful. They are very friendly and professional and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for landscape and/or construction work. You won't be disappointed.

Worst experience. ( North) Don’t be fooled by their tag line-“ We do it... you enjoy it!” As they proved to be just the opposite! Hired them last season and despite their weather advisory and reassuring e mails to soon come and service the property, on worst days( as one would recall last February were many such days) ,they never turned up! Upon e mailing my complaints, someone would show up , yet, deliver incomplete and bad service- My two car driveway used to be serviced only from the centre , leaving 2.5 feet not serviced on either side. (Pic. Attached) As a result, it was a struggle taking out the car esp. the tyre towards the outer corner. I paid extra to include service for walkway- even after reminder mails, they would conveniently forget to service it. No apology, no refund! Had to hammer the ice to break it down because of their frequent lag!!!

Our landlord uses these guys to maintain the lawn and garden at our commercial property on Mainway. I have had an issue with them using a lawn trimmer inches from our car bumpers, and also with using the lawnmower with the back open and spraying our vehicles with grass. We have offered to move our cars. They were quite defensive and argumentative when I brought it up. Their solution is to use a leaf blower on our personal vehicles to clean them off after them hit them with grass dirt and debris. This is a normal and acceptable thing to them... I'm not sure about the entire company, but they guys who do our lawns have made it clear that they don't give a flying f*** about respecting our vehicles and respecting the fact that pep erring cars with debris from mowers and trimmers is a stupid thing to do. I would not be writing this had the team been able to have a conversation about the issue without getting angry and rude.

I got the seasonal package last year and renewed it again this year. The owner (Fernando) has a great crew. My beds and lawn look amazing! I can always count on them to my lawn and gardens look great.
