Have always looked for a taste from home, so we've ordered many times from Mary Brown's service was always good up until recently. Things missing from the order kids having to wait for their food, but last night was outrageous. Called last night to place an order for delivery telephone was answered and the employee said one minute phone was then laid on the counter I heard her serve two customers, talk to people in the back, answer her cellphone and then 25 minutes later she must have remembered she laid the phone down, when she answered I asked for the manager, and she said one minute and then I heard someone say hang up, I called back but nobody answered the phone, so I called from another telephone number, I asked to speak to the manager, when the manager got on the phone he proceeded to tell me a pack of lies of how busy they were but remember (I was listening for 25 minutes) when I said I would like to place my order now, he also hung up on me. Guess I'll never order from there again.

Ordered a Buffalo Mary and was disappointed with my meal itself. Service wasn't horrible, although I paid for 2 burgers when I only wanted one so I kept the second only to find out I wouldn't be satisfied with either one. The chicken was barely dipped in Buffalo Sauce the edges had next to none and chicken was slightly overcooked.

Like this place. Prices a little higher than KFC, however, once you open the box you'll know why !! The pieces are meatier, the batter is crisp but not too much. Tastes great. Taters are fabulous. Try it and see for yourself. Chicken sandwiches are fantastic.

I LOVE Mary Brown's, however their ordering system is a J-O-K-E! Approximately 13:00est I downloaded the app and tried placing an order only to be told that "there was an error processing your order" that's it... no way to help me solve what the error was, just kept cycling back to the orange "checkout" page. When I returned home I logged into my account and tried placing an order, No Such Luck! This time the message was "Transaction Error" but again no information on what to do to fix the issue... sent a "help message" to customer service, as of 16:20est no response... I tried calling the store but no one answered the phone, in fact only a generic computerized voice asks you to leave a message... again no information on who you're calling, not even a salutation! I guess Swiss Chalet will get my business tonight...sorry, not sorry

I have been here a few times the big Mary sandwich tastes amazing and tried the Buffalo sandwich as well. Only complaint would be sometimes the chicken pieces are small and are more bone and less meat.

Hi, I have heard from numerous friends and circle of Mary Brown being Halal as they buy only Mina chicken meat and the manager on the phone happily comments it to be Halal but the next question remains unanswered, their is more than just the meat when it comes to Halal as source of other material has to be accounted for' and the restaurant is not open about it. Halal certification is also a process that the restaurant should do if they are serious about the claim.

As a person restricted with halal options this restaurant was a great option however either Management changed or general service and training has taken a hit because it’s nearly impossible to ever get a correct order from this place. This time a typed out order was provided to this restaurant and they still didn’t get the order correct. Requested extra sauce on the spicy sandwich, got none instead, asked for a French fry poutine for the combo but got tatters instead, asked for hot sauce but not provided. They didn’t even provide a receipt for the order. This is just one incident but it is an ongoing trend. It would be great if the servers just take a couple of extra seconds and look at the typed request and double check before passing the order along.

My husband picked up Mary Browns in Cambridge on Hespeler Road and we will never go there again. He paid $2.00 extra for white meat and when he got home he had one tiny little piece of meat with two bites of meat on it and a small chicken wing with taters. My meal was good a Big Mary and fries that is why I gave it a two star review. This meal with tax was 26.00. My husband called the store back and had a very rude girl on the phone. He told her he paid extra for white meat and told her what he got and she said well a chicken wing is white meat. He said he paid extra and she could not have cared less No sorry or anything and didn't offer to make it right in any way. They give chicken wings with most meals even if you don't ask for white meat at no extra cost .I heard it is new CHEAP owners. The smallest pieces of chicken we have ever seen . WILL NEVER GO BACK AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND. Go to Popeyes or even KFC.

Went in for supper @ 4:45 today. There was 4 of us, 3 seniors and 1 disabled person. My partner and I gave the the counter person our order, she took two phone calls during this time. We told her we were just the two of us. During this the counter person didn’t seem to be aware of what we had said. Before giving us our total, she asked the people who had come with us for their order. The counter person had taken 3 more phone calls when taking the order. She told us one of the sides was macaroni salad, it turned out to be macaroni and cheese!!!!! When confronted with the fact she had added all the orders together, she asked us to figure out what we each owed, REALLY!!!! Don’t go here, go to the Mary Browns in Guelph. Don’t live in Guelph, live 2.5 hours away but was there 2 months ago, on Silvercreek st.

I had many bad encounters with the owner, he does not respect his employees at all. He is cheap and works his employees too hard. If I could give this place a rating below one star I would. I've seen him yelling at many of his employees, I do not understand why they don't just quit. Other than that, the food is never fresh and is never well prepared, they just don't get the orders right.

If you want a less greasy and healthier fried chicken with nicely spiced wedges, look no further. This Canadian restaurant chain does a good job at allowing one to eat the chicken without feeling the overbloatness of oil and queesiness after eating more than 3 chickens. Dont get me wrong, KFC and Popeyes have good chicken too, but this restaurant is def worth a try for those that want something with white meat for their thighs and less oil and batter in their meal. Be warned; their spicy chicken gives an extreme kick to the tastebuds.

Mixed review tonight. Been here several times. Place is clean. Staff is friendly. Service is fast and, overall, pretty good. However, I specifically asked for dark meat only in my 3-piece takeout dinner. When I got home, I opened it to find all white meat. That having been said, the chicken was still pretty good. I'll go back...but I'll be checking my order next time.

While it is expensive, it is the best out of the big three fried chicken restaurants out there. The chicken is always reasonably fresh and I'm never left wondering how long it, or any other food they serve, has been sitting out before it makes its way in to my hands. I've never been a fan of coleslaw, macaroni or potato salads so I can't give a fair recommendation on those, but I have tried most or all other menu items and they are quite good. If you can talk someone in to making you a Big Mary Club (adds bacon, tomato and cheese; but is no longer a menu option) definitely do it.

DONT EAT HERE. Prior to "The Covid" me and my wife ate here once a week as our treat for the week, best part was getting a 4 pc meal and knowing the whole half the box was some nice crunchy salty taters, so we went to Mary Browns on hespeler over the weekend and WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. Must be new owners, Chicken was half cooked and THE WORST PART, barely any taters, they put a tiny little package of half cooked sloppy taters in the bottom of the box, smaller than a small order of fries from McD. AND it was 2 Dollars more for the 2 meals overall, MEssage to the owners, YOU LOST A LONG TIME CUSTOMER JUST TO SAVE A FEW BUCKS.

This take out restaurant is conveniently located on Hespeler Road just a couple of blocks south of the 401 hwy. The staff is friendly. The service is fast. The is limited seating for eating in. The food is always good and freshly made for each order. Larger orders can be phoned in ahead of time.

I usually come to this place to eat and have a relaxing time...having said that.. .at the moment that I'm writing this message there are a bunch of loud teenage student in which the staff didn't ask to keep quiet...then the young boys started firing packages of katchup around the dining room and even into the kitchen....anf the staff said nothing!!! What is up with that??... then 2 of the boys decided to go behind the counter to help then selves to some pop...which they didn't pay for...food was excellent but surroundings are terrible! Very unprofessional...dissapointing!!

Really tasty chicken, but seriously they should let the birds grow a little, I'm still shocked that 6 pieces and 4 tenders could fit in such a small box. While it tasted really good, so not worth the money.

I only recently heard about this company, and I am so glad that I did. By far the best fast food fried chicken I have had. Additionally, the chicken burgers are very tasty, the wedges are awesome, especially with gravy, the strips are great, and the popcorn chicken is real pieces of diced chicken. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great fried chicken. It may be a slightly higher price compared to some (although still very competitive and affordable) but it is definitely worth it.

Probably one of the worst places to get Mary Brown. The staff is so unorganized, and despite ordered ahead of time 45min to be precise, people were told they only put the chicken in the fryer once customers come in the door. For every order, the staff taking orders would check in the kitchen if they can take the order. For litrally everything. I asked for 3 big marys and was told they dont have any and then told 4 min.....hence 30min later i was still there. Just poor management...probably someone running it has no idea how to run a fast food business or they really dont care about customers. Probably never going to stop at this location.
