The hours are not the best, they should try to make at least one day open late. Also this is private property do not come on a walk after hours, i tried and was disappointed because it's someone's home.

I took my girlfriend here on a Sunday afternoon last week after I read an article about this place for a surprise, and the owner herself gave us a phenomenal welcome and introduction on our arrival and we couldn’t have been more happy casually walking around taking in all the colours and beautiful wildlife you come across every corner you turn.. will definitely recommend my friends and family. Wonderful job guys!

Beautiful gardens and amazing atmosphere!!

I have had the great pleasure of going twice. A delightful experience. Even with the drought conditions the area has been under it did not deter from the amazing amount of thought and work that has gone into these gardens. For such a young adventure by John and Deanna it is worth the visit. Each individual " garden" speaks to you. The Rose Garden will be a such an magical place to get married. The Bees, Birds and Butterflies area was a buzz with butterflies and one mischievous rabbit. I loved the Zen Garden with it's Tea House Ceremony, this brought back happy memories of Japan itself. All in all we will be back. Thank you Deanna & John for your hospitality and the bottled water for such a hot days

Interesting gardens. It is in the early stage of development, so will take a few more years before it is a good show. Needs some shade trees.

Stephanie Carr

Gardens are absolutely stunning. A beautiful place to walk.

I found this gem one night while I was going for a leisurely drive and promised myself I would go back when it was open. I took my mom the following weekend to check it out and we were both amazed that so much work had been put in to this beautiful garden just outside of Frankford. The owner gave us a backstory and what he and his wife hoped to achieve and overall it was an excellent adventure. Would recommend anyone checking this garden out.

Quinte Botantical Gardens is a dream made real by founders and owners Deanna Groves and John Reidl. In its infancy, these gardens have contributed to the business and tourism industries in the area, despite the fact the couple made the decision to open their gardens before full maturity. They have educated and entertained busloads of customers and students. Their combined knowledge and expertise in the field has contributed to them developing gardens and space for a number of groups and meetings. Picturesque enough for weddings (The Rose Garden and Colour Wheel Garden), peaceful enough for introspect (The Japanese Garden) and mourning (the Remembrance Garden dedicated to fallen Canadian military, police and fire personel), educatonal enough to learn how to reap and sow (Butterfly and Bird Garden, Edible Garden), among others. Donations of memorial trees to support them in growing their gardens are further evidence of the community supporting the potential, vitality and sensibility of these gardens. Be patient patrons. This is only the beginning of a VERY beautiful thing! Thank you Deanna and John for your lovely gardens. We have enjoyed walking through them on a number of occasions, each time witnessing the steady progress in bringing this dream - and these gardens - to maturity.

Only take cash and $10 admission, sorry that raises too many questions, Site has potential but is not worth $10 admission yet. Should also be open later during the hot humid days of the summer.

We visited Quinte Botanical Gardens last July 2019. What a picturesque horticultural oasis. The gardens are visually beautiful and a wonderful plant learning experience. We loved the Color Wheel Gardens, the diversity of plants and flowers within each color. E.g. Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple, etc. Both Garden owners (Deanna and John) illustrate their horticultural passion and love in all their gardens. If your looking for relaxing and visually enchanting day, we highly recommend you take the short trip off the 401 on Hwy 33 just past Frankford to this beautiful oasis. A great place for a picnic as well. Enjoy Maryke and Ross

Very interesting place! There are many different type of gardens to learn from. I have seen bamboo and new varieties of grasses in the oriental garden, I had never seen before! It gave me a lot of planting ideas for my garden next spring. The owners are really nice people, knowledgeable and passionate about their creation. Quinte Botanical Gardens is very unique and worth visiting!

I took my mother who is a keen gardener to visit the gardens and met with the owners who are delightful and enthusiastic. We were given a personal tour by John (one of the owners) who was charming and took the time to show us around and talk about the plants – very interesting. We were in our element coming across all kinds of plants - we loved the variety.

This is a great place to visit, find out more about gardening or just to enjoy the garden for its tranquility and beauty.

They have a great vision, but they need help with the maintenance! My suggestion is to use mulch to control the weeds and they definitely need a better irrigation system

I took my grandson to the gardens, as we both love flowers. We were there about two hours taking a leisurely walk around, taking photos as we went. I was amazed at the profusion of flowering plants, as we had had very little rain at the time. I knew that a great deal of work must have gone into keeping the plants watered. We found Deanna weeding and had a chat with her, which was a bonus. I would recommend anyone who likes flowers to pay a visit to the Quinte Botanical Gardens. Plan to spend a couple of hours there as there are places to sit and relax.

Deanna and John: just want to share a couple of images from our tour in August, 2018. with our daughter from the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia. Sheree was impressed with the layout and many variety of plants at your garden. Of course, we already know what a special place Quinte Botanical Gardens is. Keep up the amazing growing. See you in the spring. Donna and Dennis Vince.
