Terrible service. On two separate occasions they’ve closed early. I placed a curb side pickup this morning and the man on the phone was deadpan, short, and unhelpful. I explained that I would get there close to close and last time they closed early. He said this would not be a problem if I was here before 5:00. I wanted to pay so I wouldn’t have to come in but he was hard to communicate with. My wife and I had to leave work early to get there before close at 5:00. We got there at 4:50. Immediately we phoned and were on hold for two minutes before the phone was cutoff. We found a sign saying there was a drive through pickup on the south side of the store but we found no sign of it. By the time I got back to the door he was turning the “open” sign off. It was 4:55 by this point. He very reluctantly opened the door and explained the cash was turned off. I said it was not yet 5:00, we had been there for some time, had called, AND tried to follow misleading signs. He said there was nothing he could do. When I explained we left work early and live in the country he told me I’d have to come back. I told him this was the second time they’d closed early and he said there was nothing he could do. About a month ago the same thing happened. We were in town and it was 4:50 and we were about five minutes away - could they set some mulch aside. They could but they were closing as it was 5:00. We said it was 4:50. She said no, her clock said 5:00 and we would have to come back tomorrow. We said we live in the country and only come to town once per week. She said it was 5:00 and they were closed. My understanding is that cell phones all display the same time so it was not our clock that was wrong. I don’t like having to leave work early to get to a store - especially a retail store that closes as everyone is getting off work. I don’t appreciate my trip into town being wasted. Will not be shopping here ever again.

The store has recently been renovated and looks great! Everything is extremely well merchandised and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. The store is easy to navigate and doesn't feel crowded despite the fact that it is relatively small.

I lost my receipt and would like to exchange an unused product I purchased last week at another location I Peterborough. Since it's far from here it is not easy to go back to that location. They were unwilling to process and exchange because I didn't purchase it at their location. They would have processed it had I purchased it through them originally. I'm not asking for money back, and am prepared to spend a lot more than what I am returning. Very disappointed with this kind of service. I will be purchasing my home renovation products from Lowe's or home Depot going forward, as I've had nothing but great service at those locations.

New site is very nice. Staff is friendly as always. Only issue was the difficulty 2 staff had trying to process a gift card. Was at the checkout over 10 minutes and ended up getting a hand written receipt ! Perhaps staff training on the til is required ?

Love this Home Hardware. Staff so friendly and always have what you need. Smaller than other stores, as it isn't a Building Center, but unless you need lumber, I would come here every time.
