My wife and I went into Home Depot last week to look for a new refrigerator. Our refrigerator died the night before, we talked to Hugo in Appliance's. He was great and knew his products, unfortunately the refrigerator that we were looking at would not arrive until August 20th (a month later). We could not wait that long. Previously this location was a 4/5 for me but I've noticed that for curbside pickup, all the staff avoid the larger orders. I thought this was a one time experience but this happened many times. Curbside orders should be delivered in the order customers check in, not according to whichever order you feel like picking up. I checked in at 12:50pm and its now 2pm when I'm writing this review. Its been over an hour and I'm still waiting.

I was refused a refund on my credit card and was given a gift card. After contacting Home Depot Canada I got a call from the manager and apologized for the service received and was offered a refund on my credit card. I appreciated that the situation is corrected. I had just moved to Montreal the day before Labor Day and would the start class the day after. Labor Day was the only day I had to do some shopping for the apartment! Of course, everything was understandably closed, except for some stores in granby. I drove an hour there in the pouring rain, feeling very nervous that my French was not good and hoping I’d be able to get everything done. Home Depot staff were so helpful. Gilles and Jacques (Jacques-Guy? I’m so sorry, I even wrote down his name and can’t find it!) were super kind and gave me a lot of advice when I was feeling lost about finding everything or deciding on things like how to install a shelf! I was very touched by how helpful and nice they were. Made a big difference in my week, since I was very stressed out and exhausted from my move. Thank you very much for helping this poor little anglophone student. :)

Home Depot is not for the customers I Purchased on sale set of 4 chairs. Asked the cashier if they would be set aside ? They said yes . Left next day I receive a call from them saying they were sold and removed from the store already. If the staff entered it in the system and says paid for and if they did their job properly at the time and set items away off the floor after they were sold. There would be no chance that another customer came along and bought them. But the lady said she went to send her picker to set them aside today and they were gone. As a customer that is very frustrating and then not even be offered the discount on another set. To me this was a mistake on their end not the customer and they should give the same discount on the same or similar set . They stated if they get more returns i could have the opportunity to Purchase them for that discount before the new year. If not the only thing she could offer is a $100 off a new set in the new year. I was told it happens all the time ????

Went to get a tree with my 3 kids, ya know, a happy experience! We use Home Depot every year without any issues. We waited and had someone called to wrap it. Nobody came after waiting some time my husband and I threw it through the netter assuming maybe we were forgotten about or covid restrictions made it so it was self serve. After it went through employee Bonnie came up to us and my husband asked "is there a way to cut this". She replied with "Well if you'd move i could cut it, you're not supposed to do it yourself". I called her out on her rude comments and he her tone sounded and she proceeded to argue with me. I gave them 2 stars because Taylor at check out made things alot better with how she spoke and treated my children. One bad apple can adefinitely ruin a place!!

The smaller size of this home Depot means that you won't find the same variety of in stock items. However, you can do online ordering with free pickup here, often overnight. Pricing is standard for Home Depot, competitive but keep an eye out for sales. The quality of professional advice can really range from poor to excellent depending on staff on duty. I have had days where I couldn't find any help and others where there were several offers of assistance. This particular visit was very busy but checkout was efficient and everything I needed was in stock.

My friend told me that Home Depot has what they call surface mount outlet boxes for when opening the wall is too difficult. These surface mount outlets come as packaged complete sets of everything needed except the covering for the wire that feeds them. I checked around and didn't see any other home supplies store that carries such a neat package. They are appealing to look at if you use them on kitchen counter walls. No one else had anything remotely close. And they were so inexpensive. I paid $5.

Went to Home Depot today, I purchased some paint the other day and it’s not the colour that I wanted. I understand that there is no return policy on paint. I went there to see if they could lighten it up, I went directly to the paint department. No one was around, but there were 3 cashiers that were visible at the checkouts. They were busy having conversations with one another and hugging another person. They did make eye contact with me but did nothing. After waiting in the department for 15 minutes I went customer service. They paged someone to finally help me to basically say that there was nothing that they would do. Home Depot has to be worst place for customer service. They have no care when it comes to paying attention to customers.

Ordered online and used curbside pickup. Overall the process was easy and pleasant except having to wait 20 minutes after arriving for my purchase to be brought out to my car, especially since I was the only curbside pickup at the time. Previous in-store shopping has been good except the floor staff are often over eager to "help" and it feels like they are hovering. This make the shopping less than ideal for me. How is it that this store (north bay location) knew it was open on Friday June 11th for in-store shopping and still did not have enough staff to cover curb side pick up for customers who have made orders days prior to the store opening. Was actually told today that they could not tell me when the order would be ready and when I said I wanted to cancel it, because it was taking so long, the staff member got short with me. This is not the first time we have had an experience with this store and staff members just not caring or being ignorant. And also I was astounded by the fact that your staff would let a 300$ Online purchase be canceled without trying to fix the problem. I thought keeping a customers business was the name of the game here. Next time I’ll order from Sudbury and have it delivered to my home.

My return experience with the Online store has been terrible. We ordered a glass desk on APRIL 20TH for approximately $180. When it was finally delivered, the metal frame was completely bent and glass shattered. "Damaged items must be reported within three days". No problem, right? WRONG. I had made probably 70 attempts and spent probably a combined total of 36 hours on hold with the customer service phone line to no avail (left my number for callback multiple times, and, of course, I never received one). Eventually, I gave up and just called the Peterborough location to see if they could at least make a note that my item was damaged so that I wouldn't be penalized after the three-day period. The woman I spoke to was wonderful. She told me she would make a note, but I would have to take it up with the Online store because that's where the initial purchase was made. Anyway, after DAYS of trying to reach the Online store customer service number, I FINALLY got through. I was surprised at how long it took the agent a pretty long time to carry out the return process... no wonder the lines are clogged up. She sent me a return UPS shipping label, which I was told to affix to the damaged item. Free pickup was arranged and the package was sent off back to the third-party vendor on MAY 16TH. I was told that upon the arrival of the damaged item, I would receive my refund.... Fast forward to JUNE 2ND, and I receive a "Return Authorization" email on informing me that I must print and affix the email to the package prior to shipping in order to receive my refund.... Well, that would have been nice to know three weeks ago when I was told to ship it back! Now, I am on hold with the online customer service line for what feels like the hundredth time. Luckily I purchased on credit, so I'll honestly probably have to end up resolving the issue with my bank. The cherry on top is that the damaged item seems to be lost in transit anyway, and has shown numerous "delayed" statuses since May 23rd, despite the fact that it's a domestic shipment to Quebec. My advice would be to shop at Home Hardware instead! They're Canadian-owned :)

We had some construction done on our house this past week and there was some stucco repair that needed to be done.I've never done it before so I looked online and there were some videos about what to do and what to buy so I went to Home Depot and picked up all those supplies.I followed the instructions and it was actually pretty easy and the result turned out great I'm really pleased. Worst curbside pick up experience I've had. Ordered a few grinding disks and was told my order might not be ready for days, FOR GRINDING DISKS. Placed an order for curbside pickup, I didn't get the ready for pickup e-mail for two and a half weeks by which time I didn't want the order any more because it took far too long and I had since purchased it elsewhere. I tried calling the store multiple times and it kept ringing and ringing. Also tried calling the 1-800 customer service number multiple times and couldn't get through there either. The e-mail said I would be refunded after 7 days so I decided to wait it out. Guess what? 7 days later I get an e-mail from the store saying I need to call them if I want to cancel the order. I called multiple times again, one time after waiting on hold for 20 minutes they picked up the phone and just left it sitting on the desk off the hook. I could hear the employees chatting it up in the background, unbelievable!

We have been extremely disappointed. We bought a refrigerator and the sales contract said our old fridge would be removed as part of the deal. When the new fridge was delivered the guys said they couldn’t take the old one. I went to the store (after my emails were not answered), talked to salesman. He emailed someone higher up and still, almost a month later, old fridge is standing in my house. Seems they got our money and now want us to disappear. I will never purchase anything at Home Depot again,

My bf and I waited over 45 minutes for staff to cut 38 x 38 inches of plywood for us. Like the staff waited around/ avoiding the 3 minute task , expecting the other staff member to do it. Plenty of selection. Materials like wood vary greatly in quality at times but you can typically get what you're looking for. Great sales when you can catch them, otherwise prices are not too bad. Staff is always very friendly and helpful.

Was in the area for work and went in to pick up some nails and screws for a home project. I asked an employee about some of the types of nails/screws my project required. He couldn't answer my question and suggested I just buy the materials in my hometown, at Kent, because maybe someone there would know more about nails and screws. So.. that's exactly what I did. I was also in another time and was being assisted by a female employee. I was was trying to ask her about a product but couldn't remember the proper name or kind of got tongue tied. She spoke very slowly and said "come on, use your words" as if I were a child or mentally delayed. She was just trying to be funny I guess, but it was a bit unprofessional.

I am aware and understand that we are in a pandemic and another lock down, but with that being said this is the 3rd time we've been here in Ontraio! I would imagine that Home Depot would have some experience with online orders now for curbside pick up! I'm a contractor and I've placed a small order, 2 sheets of 4x8 mdf for a customer project, online says there have 43 sheets in stock, it has been 3 days since I've ordered this material and still don't have it! Come on Home Depot get it together, they should have people looking after contractor sales exclusively!

My husband and I have been doing a lot of renos recently, and Home Depot has become our second home. Tony & Gary have been SO unbelievably helpful. They have given us tips and tricks that not only made the jobs easier but also saved us a ton of money. Today we were in getting some of the final touches and Gary made his way over to us to ask how all the projects have gone. You feel like you're a little community rather than just a customer. We moved to Kitchener 2 years ago and this has been our go-to store for great products and the most friendly and helpful of staff. I would highly recommend the Sunrise plaza Home Depot.

Waited for 45 minutes in the store to enquire about some sliding closet doors on sale..left.decided these would in fact work after measuring the space, so called the store back after 7 minutes of voice ads the same woman answeres and i gave her the name of the doors and the bar code. I wanted to pay for them using my HD card. She explained she'd call me right back when she finishes with the current customer. 2 1/2 hours later I call again..this time a young man says ..yes o have the information. I have to run and get them and I'll call you right back.. I wait a further 1 1/2 hours again and call back only to find the store is now closed. Really?? Terrible service..

I agree the service at the Kitchener Home Depot is hit and miss. The gentleman who assisted me in the plumbing department was wonderful. Not only was plumbing not his department he was from shipping. He literally wrote the product number on his hand and escorted me to customer service to arrange payment and a Saturday pick up. I was delighted with him and wish I had taken note of his name. It was short... Dan? Jim? Regardless kudos to him. That's where things went a bit south. Young man at the "customer service" desk, I did take note of your name but I will refrain from posting it because I would like to think that perhaps you were having a bad day. You were curt, almost surly and dismissive. I made a point of being nothing but polite and cooperative but you made me feel like you were doing me a favour. I was very, very close to walking out. It was not my problem your computer was slow and when you speak to someone it is polite to address them directly. I actually had to say at one point "are you speaking to me" because you were having side conversations with your desk mates. Frankly if you needed a timeout you should have taken it. Get off the "service" desk if you don't suit it because next time I will walk and I will name you.

Service is bad here. It was hard enough to work with Home Depot before, but given the circumstances you'd think they'd devote more efforts to customer service and answering phones to prevent customers from having to physically take themselves to this location despite safety warnings for the public. Totally unacceptable, canceled my orders and went to Canadian Tire instead- never again, Home Depot!

Very nice client service but bad experience in delivery or online order. I asked for concrete to be delivered , the order was late and the transportation company asked me to pay 1500$ for delivery only for staff that costs 500$, after I talked with client service they canceled the order and made another order that came 3 days later. I dealt with Window and Door department and that was the worst experience, the doors came wrong and was reordered, the second time took much more than expected and came wrong again. I was asking about status they just say we do not know! I had no help from the technician of the Window and Door department but just repeating it is because of COVID and nothing can be done!! Home Depot, If you are going to take something from the store, the people are very helpful and do their best to serve you... If something need to be delivered I do not recommend it.

As a Windsorite used to dealing with the Windsor Home Depot stores, I was SHOCKED AND AMAZED at the Chatham Home Depot Location! O M G!! The people working there were HELPFUL, SMILING and COURTEOUS and showed ACTUAL INTEREST IN OUR QUESTIONS! We were asked "May I help you?" by at the very least 5 different people. Usually when we need someone to help us at the Windsor locations it is a serious hunt to find someone who won't brush you off and give you attitude for daring to ask something. I am not exaggerating when I say my husband and I were seriously almost in shock upon discovering that bad service at Home Depot was not necessarily the norm and we discussed it in awe. We are "power users" lol of Home Depot and have completely renovated 2 homes now spending tens of thousands at the Home Depot stores in Windsor and our visit to Chatham Home Depot blew our minds. We will be making the drive to Chatham in future!

Tried to order $20 fan online but they wanted an additional $21.51 to deliver it 4 blocks! So ordered it online for a friend to pick up as due to health I can't go out. Arranged it over phone giving order# and friends name. Friend was refused to pick it up! Asked to speak with manager but employee could not hear me over loud fork truck. Unsatisfied- Don't order counter top through them if you have any kind of a deadline. Confirmed they would have it done before our tenants moved in, told us it had a 3 week turn around. Took 2.5 weeks before they even placed the order which would've took a week to return, and then that it would be another 3 weeks to install it- only found out as I took it upon myself to call top to floors (thankful that I did) Ended up cancelling order & going with another company. Manager did nothing to help with the situation, except give us a refund.
